I ordered the special thinking it would be their best meal. Turned out not to be. Egg roll was good but the noodles were bland. If I wanted that time of quality I could of gone to Panda Express. The place is nice thou. Sorry, first impressions are important. This is not a recommendation.

This building caught my eye since I first moved to Houston and I was very satisfied after trying it for the first time recently. The building is very pretty and aesthetic. On a Sunday afternoon it took about 10 minutes for a spot to become available in the tight parking lot so I would probably come at a time that's less busy in this area. The food was amazing and well priced for a generous portion, I got crispy orange tofu and fried rice; it was some of the best orange tofu I've ever had and I order that quite a lot. Their nitro Thai tea was sooo good too. They have a nice cute patio to sit on to enjoy the weather too.

Good Asian food. Not sure I'd call this fusion as they're all the "normal" menu options but it's good for lunch. Very generous portion. Has the curry which was good though not Dumplings were good too.

First review of 2019! Wow, and what better place to start than writing my first review based on my suggestions: The Rice Box at Greenway Plaza in Houston. I have been to this place a few times, mostly in my time working offsite at their nearby office building (5 Greenway Plaza). The Rice Box is nestled down on the lower floors of a cafeteria area surrounded by other restaurants, men and women in business casual clothing, TV's blaring the daily news and a cone shaped window looking up in the middle of a indoor courtyard. The Rice Box is a Chinese restaurant that I find to be ~alright~ for the most part. Being Asian myself, this place was about on par with other Chinese American restaurants in the Houston area (take Panda Express for example. This place and Panda Express is NOT authentic Chinese food). Nice atmosphere, great decor on the outside, nice friendly staff, but I was mostly here for the food. Will this food disappoint me or make me come back for more? That is the real question of the day. The food was... what I thought it would be. A lot of rice (and I mean a lot.), medium sized portions of protein, some veggies, and an eggroll. To be honest, not a bad price for the amount of food you get (it's like really heavy and really big). But, that container is filled with like 75% rice and 25% everything else. Get the portions right people! Other than that, 3/5, would come back if I am desperate... and there are like 6 other restaurants/places to eat in that lower concourse area, so there you go.

Love the restaurant decor and atmosphere!!! Great spot for late night cravings or to take pretty cool pictures for content!!! The food here is really good and savory!!! I loved the wings and rice here!!! They have pan fried noodles and other dishes that are a must try!!! Come by during lunch or after work with family or friends to enjoy a delicious meal!!! Did I mention they also play anime while you eat and drink?!?... order a nice cold one, eat and relax at this cool hot spot!!!

The chicken curry fried rice was so good. Rice was cooked perfectly, the chicken tender, and the spice level was on point. It was spicy but not overpowering. It was very flavorful. The portion size was also plentiful. The fried dumplings were fried a little too hard. They were hard and chewy but not horrible. This is the reason for the four stars. Next time I would probably get steamed because I will be back because the curry rice was amazing.

I came in for a quick to go lunch and opted for the wings box with sauce on side but I should have went with the fried rice. Unfortunately after waiting to eat when I got home I didn't check my food there and came to see that the wings were really burnt. They had a slight bitter/charred taste. At least the egg roll was good or I was really hungry cause I ate that in the car. I've had their fried rice before when A friend ordered it and I remembered it was good.

The parking lot is quite small for this place. it's a cute little place, very aesthetic especially if you come at night. I tried the sesame shrimp and definitely was not a fan. I also shared the sesame tofu with a friend and I LOVE IT. It was so crispy and so amazing couldn't even tell it was tofu. Next time I will try the tofu with the noodles instead of rice. It's worth the price for sure because they give a lot. Also cool chill vibes so definitely something nice to check out!

The service was very quick and efficient. The place looks amazing. Love the way they set it up with such a small area to work with. Love eating at greenway plaza because it was so much selection and a nice atmosphere. The food wasn't all that. The fried rice wasn't great and the pepper steak I order was so sweet and the carrots were undercooked. Will try a different plate next time and give an updated review. I got a nitro Thai tea and it was beyond amazing. Def recommend. The right about of sweetness too. It sort of looks like beer especially with the foam but it's non dairy so a great plus !

Ok. Nothing soecial. Tofu is cooker well and so are vegetables but not a lot of flavor and not a lot of sauce. I need to try a few other dishes like the Mongolian. Will give it another chance. Also, when I ask got soy sauce I'd prefer if it they'd give us more than one and same with siracha.

I came here during lunch twice. The concept is cute, where the meat is over the rice. Alittle pricey. 1st time I came here. I order the beef and broccoli. Almost $10. It may look like there's a lot of food but in reality it's a lot of rice and the beef and broccoli is on top. I had better else where. 2nd time - I had order the beef chow fun. Almost $13. Alittle on the greasy side but I like that they add shredded cabbage in it. Usually the traditional Chinese beef chow does not have cabbage in it. It taste pretty good. Both entrees come with an egg roll. My coworker got the chicken dumpling and a small fried rice. It taste pretty good. These 2 items wasn't that expensive.

My first time here and it's so clean and I love the area! I ordered pepper steak and it's really really good! Will be back!

From the specials menu, we started with the spicy garlic coconut milk mussels made with fresh Prince Edward Island/British Columbia mussels in a rich spicy garlic coconut cream sauce, topped with green onions and served with toasted ciabatta bread. The broth was incredible and packed with flavor. As an appetizer, we ordered the Texas Wagyu Hot Stone Bowl -- the only rice item on the menu at the time -- made with rice, egg, kimchi sauce, tawan mushrooms, sesame, and green onion. It was prepared tableside for us, which made the experience even more fun and interactive. We also tried the Spicy Soy Ramen with braised ground pork, chili oil, soy milk broth, soft boiled egg, wakame, green onion, and micro cilantro. The flavors were rich, comforting, and had the perfect amount of spice. The Nagasaki Champon Ramen was another standout with clams, shrimp, cabbage, pork, onion, ginger, and micro cilantro in a flavorful broth that tasted fresh and authentic. The restrooms were very Japanese-inspired and beautifully maintained, adding to the atmosphere of the restaurant. Gabby was an amazing waitress -- attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire dining experience even better. Then there was dessert: Green Tea soufflé and chocolate milk bread pudding! I hope i get a picture of it!!! Service is GREAT! Drinks are filled. Needs are met- and exceeded!!!0 Parking is self parking, but it was worth it. We will definitely be back again to try many more items on the menu! Come early if you want to hear your partner it gets LOUD!

Normally I would suggest other places after one visit but found myself drawn to the convenience of the menu and the friendly staff. So the menu is asian fusion for breakfast and lunch items in the form of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, rice bowls, salads, and some cocktails thrown in. As tempted as we were to do an adult beverage, we stuck with lunch items for professionalism. Some items we tried were the following: Tacos: Brisket: 8/10 Tofu Tikka Masala: 9/10 Tilapia: 6/10 Pulled Pork: 7/10 Salads: Mango and Kale: 8/10 Caesar: 7/10 Taco Salad w/ chicken: 9/10 Rice Bowls: BBQ Pork: 7/10 Other Items: Brussels Sprouts: 8/10 Chips and Guacomole: 5/10 Chips and Spicy Hummus: 7/10 Only item we didn't care for was the chips and guacamole. The guac is bland as it's just mainly mashed avocado w/ minimal seasoning and missing items such as red onion, cilantro, lime juice, etc. The chips however are wonderful and excellent for dipping which goes well with the hummus. Hummus has a kick; not the best but good for the price and comes out quickly. The rice bowls are filling and ok. The taco salad was probably the best item; very powerful southwest flavors and the chicken very tender. Now the tacos; the brisket and tofu tikka masala are both tasty; brisket is tender and the tofu tikka masala might make you forget it's tofu. Pulled pork was alright but messy. The tilapia is tender but also messy and the tortilla kept breaking apart due to the salsas and toppings. Need to make it stronger! The plaza is lucky to have this and when I have future assignments out this way, I'll be sure to stop back in and try their other items.

It was missing that traditional savory, umami flavor, and instead tasted only like cream cheese. The outer layer also didn't hold up well. It wasn't strong or crispy enough to support the filling, so everything felt soft and fell apart. It honestly made it difficult to eat without a spoon (which they did include). I can't find anything to complain about.

It's been years since I've gotten food from Tiger Noodle House (dined in & to-go)…read more Service was good & food was prepped quick for takeout order. I used to love their dry fried Szechuan spicy sliced fish, but it doesn't hit the same anymore. Tasted dry and fish pieces were smaller than I remembered. Dry fried green beans w/ minced pork were good. Read decent reviews about the homemade tofu, however it was mid. Wished it was more savory. Should've ordered the mapo tofu instead. Not sure if i would come back to this place since there's other restaurants with better szechuan food.
