POMEGRANATE LEMONADE Lemonade, pomegranate juice, mint
    DeWayne R.

I stopped by P.F. Chang's around 2:30 p.m., just after the Galleria lunch rush, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. I came in for the Veterans Day special (which ends at 3:00 p.m.), and while I appreciated the gesture, the experience itself was just okay. I ordered the Spicy Chicken with fried rice, one veggie spring roll (because they were outnof sweet and sour soup), and a pomegranate lemonade. The drink was actually the highlight--refreshing, not too sweet, and had a nice tart finish. The food, on the other hand, was average. The chicken had a mild kick but lacked that bold flavor I was expecting, and the fried rice was decent but nothing memorable. Service was a bit slow considering how empty the restaurant was, though the staff was polite. Overall, it wasn't a bad visit--just not as impressive as I've come to expect from P.F. Chang's. Probably better to catch them earlier in the lunch rush when the kitchen's moving at full pace.

Inside the Galleria Park II building. Met for a team lunch on a Friday at 11 am. There is garage parking and validation so bring your ticket. You have to give it to them for them to validate. Restaurant had just opened so it was fairly empty with 1-2 tables already seated - the host did tell my coworker that we should make a reservation in the future. Maybe because we were a party of 7? Tony was our waiter and helpful, funny and def needed help. It looked like he was the main or only waiter for a while. There was a guy that came out to help him a bit in the background but it seemed like Tony was running the show solo. Among the 7 of us there was a variety of items ordered. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps (full) to share and the lunch special - firecracker shrimp with the hot and sour soup. The chicken lettuce wraps were the star of the show. Just needed more lettuce. He gave the option of iceberg or romaine. Opted for iceberg which went perfectly. The hot and sour soup was tasty and I think it had meat, no mushrooms but it felt like there was chicken bits in it. The firecracker shrimp was not spicy (to me) but sauced nicely and there was a good portion of smaller size shrimps. My boss /friend ordered the fried dumplings and I tried one. Crunchy and tender. Standard dumpling taste. He also ordered the teriyaki trio and was disappointed in how much sauce there was - it was drowning in it. Everyone else I enjoyed their food and there was talk of a possible return in the future. Overall, it was better than I anticipated.

I love their combo that comes with a soup and drink. I ordered the sesame chicken with brown rice and hot and sour soup. The soup was chunky and had a great balance of spicy and sour. The sesame chicken was also pretty good. The size of the chicken was decent and not overly breaded. The sesame sauce was tasty. I liked the chopped peppers and onions in it and the steamed broccoli. I enjoyed it! Of course because it's a combo, the portion of the sesame chicken was smaller than if you ordered it as an entree in its own (so no leftovers), but was a satisfying meal. They actually stopped delivering to my house on door dash which I'm not happy about. I've ordered things further away than the galleria area and just paid a distance fee. I don't know why they wouldn't do that option.

Pleasant experience. We sat the bar for drinks, both bartenders were nice, although they both made the same drink (chocolate martini) completely different. The little food we did order was made perfectly. Next time I'll get more pictures. It's always clean and quiet at this location, along with quick service.

Arrived in time for a late lunch with 10 seniors. Our waiter was super great and attentive. Did not miss a beat and dealing with 10 seniors can be challenging. The chicken broccoli was very tasty but could have been a little more spicy. The veggie spring roll was really good. The dynamite sushi did not get high marks. If you love sushi, don't order this. The soups were good. Love the new location. Really nicer, larger dining area and better table spacing. Parking is directly across the street and free with validation. Always a plus for me

8/10. always good, but the prices definitely have increased & the temperature in the restaurant was freezing!

Well done, but even more over cooked, and without good sauce. Looks much better than it tasted. Gave my jaw a good workout chewing!

This review is for delivery food via Uber eats. The portion size is small. The food doesn't look appetizing. And its overcooked and doesn't taste great. This is inferior to panda express at 50%+ more expensive. I was really curious what this would be like with the mixed reviews. Finally tried it with a decent special from Uber eats, and it wasn't worth it! I love Chinese food and I barely made it through half of a Mongolian beef bowl. So tough and overcooked and not well flavored. I try to not give one stars, but this one was so bad I won't be trying it again.

Fantastic Chicken n Shrimp Fried Rice togo !!!

I hadn't even been to a PFC since the spring of 2015 and decided to come to this location. The last time I went was when they were at their River Oaks spot near what used to be Smith & Wollensky. I ordered a couple of my favorites togo being the Chicken n Shrimp Fried Rice and a bigger portion of the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Both were very delicious, very well-seasoned and juicy without being slimy in grease. The meat in each was very generous and the saltiness was just right too. The lettuce wraps are a perfect blend of sweet, savory and herby all in one. The crispy, cool lettuce is a nutritious addition to the rest. I would definitely recommend these two along with the lo main here. I must say the lettuce wraps are my #1, then the fried rice n then the lo mein imo. Great, friendly service as well.

The restaurant location (Westheimer St) with a garage parking validation is a super convenient option for dining. Staff were very kind and attentive. The restaurant's decor and music were also very pleasant. Overall food was very good, our favorites were the famous CHANG'S CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS, a must try!! Other dishes such as bbq pork ribs, pork dumplings, crispy honey shrimp and Brussels sprouts were also very tasty. The strawberry lemonade was refillable. The Singapore street noodles were not that good, will skip it next time. The chocolate Soufflé was just ok, very dense, nothing close to a traditional Soufflé.

Fabulous Happy Hour! I'll definitely be back! I'd love to try the 3 course meal for $20 next time! The bartender, Brendan was a delight and made the evening. I had even called ahead to get more info, the hostess was great at explaining the happy hour options. Overall, I had a great experience.

    Dynamite Shrimp
    Holly H.

The restaurant is nice and they have a decent sized bar. The best thing I ate was the dynamite shrimp. The pork dumplings were good. I cannot remember the name of the beef dish I ordered, but it was decent. Not really my cup of tea, but it was not bad. Service was extremely slow. I would come back here again for the food, but they definitely should work on their hospitality and service speed.

Is the restaurant quiet enough to support calm conversations? (Note: too few are any more: too little sound dampening fabric like tablecloths, too much "music" sound clutter, and too many customers yelling to be hear?

Yes. While it was by no means library-quiet, it wasn't very noisy at all in the center-of-the room table we sat at. I would guess that the booths are even quieter.

Do they still have a happy hour? Nothing on website.

Hi Mark, we no longer offer happy hour.

5 Stars - Authentic Szechuan that absolutely nails the classics…read more During our short trip to Houston, as a custom, we were determined to find real Szechuan food, and luckily we found Hu's Kitchen. The location is a bit unassuming, and parking is definitely tough (the spaces are very shallow), but the second we walked through the doors and smelled the Szechuan peppercorns, I knew we were in exactly the right place. I generally judge a Szechuan restaurant by their 夫妻肺片 (Fuqi Feipian)--which they cleverly name "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on the menu. They completely nailed it. The beef, tripe, and tendon were incredibly cohesive together, yet you could tell each component was prepared and marinated in a slightly different way to perfectly highlight its specific texture. The chili oil was right on the spot. We went through a massive bowl of rice just eating this dish alone. Honestly, if I weren't feeding a family of four, I could have just ordered that and been perfectly happy. While the Fuqi Feipian proves their skill with dry dishes, the 水煮魚片 (Fish in Szechuan Hot Chili Oil) proves their skill with wet ones. It's another must-order. The execution was flawless--we didn't just finish the tender fish chunks, we ate every last piece of cabbage soaked in that incredible chili broth. For my two daughters who can't handle the heat, we ordered the fried rice, garlic pork ribs with onion, and the 紅燒獅子頭 (Giant Meatball with Cabbage). The giant meatball was spectacular. The kids completely devoured it on their own, but I managed to steal a bite, and it instantly brought back childhood memories of exactly how this dish is supposed to taste. We also had the Dan Dan Noodles, which were great and rounded out the meal perfectly. I loved all of the dishes we tried. Should we ever find ourselves in Houston again, we will absolutely be revisiting this hidden gem.

No complaints here since we were starving from an 8 hour road trip. The Dan Dan Noodles...I had high expectations but sadly this dish fell short. I recommend Hu's Cooking to use a bigger bowl and more sauce because it was difficult to mix the noodles and the sauce wasn't...saucing, unfortunately. I wish there was more flavor in this dish. The Scallion Pancake was super over-fried and oily. See image in my review. The outer parts of the pancake were fried to a crisp and only a small circumference in the center stayed chewy. I know Chinese tends to be oily but this pancake soaked up way too much oil. Half a Peking duck: super great price for so much meat. The difficulty when eating this dish is gnawing the meat off the sharp bones of the duck. Mapo Tofu with white rice: pretty easy staple, no complaints here. Dinner on a Saturday was packed but we got seated quickly and food arrived fast.

I was greeted at the entrance by friendly staff and was asked if I preferred to sit closer to the entrance or towards the back. I chose the seats deeper into the restaurant because it was a humid day and I wanted to keep my distance from the front door. We were promptly seated and here handed the menus. The menus must have been hot off the press because they were in very good condition. We proceeded to order two entrees (date night with the wife) and the food came out rather quickly. The flat rice noodle (pad si-ew) with beef is one of my go to dishes at any Thai restaurant. The one here was very good! It came out hot, presentation was nice, and the portions of beef were very generous. We also ordered the tofu yellow curry and it was delicious. The tofu was fried very well - so well that it kept up its crunch despite being soaked in the yellow curry. We got spice level 2 of 4 and it was perfect. The waiter called it "mild" but I would say closer to medium. Maybe mild for Thai food. Anyhow, no regrets and we devoured the yellow curry which also came with a side of rice. By the end of dining experience we were so full that we unfortunately did not have room for dessert. All in all, a great experience and we will be back for sure. Given that it's Uptown which generally means pricier food options, I thought the dishes were all fairly priced. The parking is plentiful but when it's busy time like Saturday night, you may have to park further away. Enjoy!

If it keeps getting worse, I am might have to consider going to urgent care. My boss ordered a salad that had the same veggies that came with the pan seared duck breast about a week ago, and also had diarrhea. He pieced two and two together. We believe that it's the veggies. I am worried that what I have is the parasite that's going around right now, cyclosporiasis. On another note, I wanted to try their specials. The lamb gyozas were okay. I didn't really like the skin of the gyoza, seemed a bit oily. I was excited to try the pan seared duck breast, but I found it to be a bit overcooked than what I usually have at other restaurants. A bit dry, kinda chewy, but the blueberry sauce was good. The salad that came on the side was good, but I believe that's what gave me diarrhea.
