Best place ever love there chows main better then Panda Express even there chicken and the service is amazing

Hello, my name is Ashley B. let's get started with the review! I recommend this place if you're in the area and you need a quick bite to eat they have a lot of choices to choose from. However, the egg roll and the wonton did not sell me over. The noodles weren't that good either. I asked for some Sriracha sauce and they only had the chili oil and they had like a burnt taste too it. Wrong overall, if I'm in the area and get hungry, I will try them again. Anyway chow!

So I went to this place to eat with my friend. We picked it because it was cheap and they gave good portions, but this is what I saw when I paid for my food. They have cooked chicken in plastic bins, not covered and sitting on shelves. I confronted the staff and asked them what that is and she said it was the orange chicken they are waiting to serve... and that's what I had gotten to eat. Truly disgusted and if they have this sitting out in the open who knows what they do in the back. Nobody was using gloves and when I confronted the chef they moved the chicken to who knows where. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Chow mein, pepper chicken& salt& pepper shrimp. I ate some before I took this photo.

Unfortunately disappointing. I'm one of those that received barely warm food. The server offered samples which I gladly accepted. The spicy chicken which is what I thought that I would order was fairly hard/not fresh. I asked the server what his favorites were. Samples of pepper chicken & salt & pepper shrimp were hot, fresh & tender. That is not what ended up in my order. I dug in as soon as I got to the car & was so let down. The onions were not caramelized & were very harsh. I love onions! I was there around 5:00. All of the containers for each dish were full. I suppose they were prepared for the dinner rush. I would not have wanted to eat my food at that temperature. I heated it when I got home. The chicken was pretty tough. I think that it would have been that way had I eaten it at the time that I received it. The chow mein was the best. I'm frugal, but I'd rather pay more for higher quality made to order food. The portion was good sized.I'm sure that the food would be much better had I been fortunate enough to order & receive something that had just been prepared. Both of the people behind the counter were friendly & thanked me for coming. However, I do not plan to return.

They make it hard to be healthy right next to Salata lol this is my first time here but I am sure it's the same across the board. The original one I went to was on Eastex freeway and the service was great there, and the food delicious. By the ambiance of this place I can tell it's gonna be a great experience as well. I am anticipating what this will be like.

Regular Chinese food similar setup to what you'd see in a mall or Panda Express (except food tastes way better) Pretty cheap prices and they give you A LOT of food!! I opted for the 3 option combo (3 meats + rice or noodles) which was around $11. The only con about this place is none of the food is labeled. I inquired about a few of the meats and the guy working there never gave me a clear answer on what the dish/meat entree was. I only got responses like "this is white meat and this is dark meat " and "the sauces are different " So I was kinda guessing what I was choosing just by the look of the food. Other than that the establishment is real nice and clean. Food is good and pricing is more than reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Staff is great!

Picked up food to go, it was my first time trying this place and I was a bit hesitant to order from here because it reminds me of the fast food Panda Express but my friend said it was good so I tried it. There is plenty of parking because it is located in a commercial building plaza. I called in my order and it was ready when I arrived. They have tons of sauces and wonton cookies too. The portions are really generous and it is inexpensive. The food itself isn't 5 star worthy. It it is very good for it being fast food. If you live near by or are just in the area and want some inexpensive Chinese food, this is the place to go.

Black pepper chicken, sichuan chicken, chow mein, hot and sour soup
    Shannon P.

Got the black pepper chicken and the sichuan pepper chicken with chow mein. Black pepper chicken 6/10 it wasn't as crunchy but it's nice and sweet/peppery Sichuan chicken 9/10 this was so good. Not spicy but may be if u can't handle spice and has that nice sichuan/mala taste I also got hot and sour soup which was standard and v good, and the crab Rangoon which does not skimp on filling! Overall the service was friendly she was v helpful because I couldn't decide what to get. And all of this was only $16 and change and look at the portions! I can turn this into a few meals.

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

We always order from the spicier side of menus, and there's no question when you get your food that they aren't playing around. The chicken is juicy, full of flavor, served on a perfect bun with cole slaw and a couple dill pickle slices. The lightly-battered, seasoned waffle fries are exactly what they should be. I remember the hype this place got as they started out and moved from their original spot to this new spot on Shepard. Now that they have inside seating, I figured it was time to check them out. I was in the area at a local bar with friends, and a few friends ordered Mico's through DoorDash. It looked and smelled so good that I decided I had to have it that night, but at the restaurant. I pulled up to what looks a new building. They share a lot with other businesses but I was able to get a parking spot easily. The restaurant is spacious with lots of seating. They also have bar seating by the register. When I looked around, I noticed alot of people waiting on food. It was a mix of food delivery drivers as well as patrons that had ordered and waiting. There was a customer at the counter going off on the employees and I got to commend the young staff for keeping their cool. That being said, the young staff was friendly and trying their best, but they were drowning and the mood in the place was off. Items were forgotten. People were not getting their food in the order of when they ordered. Four parties ordered after me, with similar items and everyone got their orders before mine. I think I was forgotten and only after one of the staff noticed me waiting did they come and look at my receipt. Time from ordering to receiving my food was close to 40 minutes. This is a hot chicken place that is trying to be somewhat fancy. I was served my food on a nice plated plate. Nice touch, but it felt off for the food being served here. They also give utensils in cloth napkins. No paper towels or napkins in sight. Hot chicken is messy and the cloth napkins was not doing it for me. I ended up up knife and forking my sandwich to keep the messy hands from happening. They also serve their fountain drinks in small cups filled to the brim with us. A few swigs and my drink was almost gone. For a place serving spicy food, a soda fountain with refills or readily available water should be available and out front. Now to the good part. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich at their hottest level which also came with a side. I got the waffle fries. The sandwich was voted one of the best dishes in the state by Texas Monthly and I can see why. It was a hefty sandwich with a large chicken breast seasoned to perfection. I always love when their is a little hangover of the chicken outside of the bun. The chicken was crispy but juicy inside. The heat was there but totally bearable with the cooling component of the delicious slaw on top. I usually pick pickles off sandwiches, but the pickles here were good and the acidity added a pleasant touch to the sandwich. The waffle fries were also excellent. They were the battered and seasoned kind which I love. The food most definitely saved the overall experience on my visit here. I will say it is one of the better hot chickens I have had in Houston. Now if they go back to their roots and not try to be fancy and do better on their customer service, I can see this place sticking around for a long time. With my experience, I don't see myself hurrying back anytime soon.

Since this was in the Heights, parking was sparse, but the interior had a clean, modern look and plenty of seating. Since my friends and I came on a Thursday night, there weren't many customers. I'd say the Magic Sauce was creamier + sweeter than the Spicy Ranch. Overall, it was a healthy (in my mind) and filling bowl that lasted me two days. The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. Because of that experience, I chose not to patronize the this location but may try another location one day.
