The shrimp in their Lo Mein. Looks real identical. Grabbed this pic from another reviewer.

Ordered a Shrimp Pho to dine in. Place was empty. Upon receiving my pho; I noticed it really oily at the top. The oil was coming from the shrimps; like if they were in a stir fry (maybe their Shrimp Lo Mein) I cook so I know the shrimps aren't supposed to look like that. I told the waitress and the owner and didn't option to fix it. I asked for a refund, owner agreed and was told to not come back. Mind you I've been coming to this place every chance I get trucking from California.

This container used to be full..now ur lucky enough if u get enough protein in there..this is supposedly the Triple delight..what a joke!

The serving size has gone down and prices are up.And yet they refuse to admit it. Once upon a time they were our first choice as they r in our neighborhood. We purchased the triple delight. The container they use to put the food in is emptier now compared to before. It used to be enough to save to eat again ..now it's a joke....we r leaving one star only because the post won't be allowed unless u rate it..but this place sucks now..

Not what I expected at all. Food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor. We ordered the Triple Delight and the Dragon Fried Rice. They both had 3 meats each. There was plenty of meat and veggies in the Triple Delight. Onions cooked perfectly. Rice had plenty of meat as well. The woman at the counter was very patient with us since we could not decide. Food didn't take long at all. The inside was very clean and well taken care of.

FRIED CHICKEN

Now I'm usually happy with this place but I asked for chicken wings .. meaning fried seasoned chicken .. this Caucasian azz chicken .. and I mean it ain't a lick of seasoning in it ..

This is their menu, it has been updated to this now. The food is still pretty good, the girls are nice and it's worth it in my opinion.

They give big portions. I got the combo lo mein. It was just ok. I also got the shrimp spring rolls. They were good but not made well. They were ripped and fell apart quickly. Customer service was blah. Would come here if it was last minute option

Not really good. Fried rice had shrimp split in half . And protein in rice was mostly gizzard and giblets. Not buying there again.

The got nice wall art too, depicting the popular dishes from the north so I had my expectation and hopes up. Service is ordinary, she speaks little English but can get by ordering, we order first at the counter the sit anywhere. Braised egg is 2 for $3.50, salty but expected since it's marinated. Came out steaming hot, and yolk was not overly cooked and dry, not bad. Starting with the Chinese hamburger I felt sad and know not to expect too much from the other dishes we ordered. First the meat look different than what others have posted before, and it was kinda dry and too salty to eat. There was no other spice, only the meat juice flavor. The bun they use was stale to eat. Traditional way of making this should be the flaky oily pancake, or at least make the buns softer to eat. The mutton stew was clear and very heartwarming to drink on a cold day. But the portion is super small for the price. The glass noodles were gone in literally two bites. I had none to share with my boyfriend. This dish come with the burger bun too that you can soak them in the soup so I guess this is the extra carb make up for the less noodles. Oil splash noodle is their specialty? It was good but didn't wowed me. Noodles are chewy and well cooked, came with lots of bean sprouts. The sauce is flavorful and actually not too oily which I enjoyed more. You can add the beef for an extra charge, it's the regular braised beef, was just ok. I find it funny that their all food arts on the wall look nothing like the actual way they serve it.

On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.

On the table was a holder with chopsticks, soup spoons and napkins. It was a chilly, blustery day - I so enjoyed the Henan-style lamb with noodles soup! Three kinds of noodles: wide, hand-pulled with a nice chew; thin, textured tofu; crystal. Happy with the two quail eggs. There was a nice amount of wood ear fungus, kelp? and fresh cilantro. The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Had to eat it right away as the bun was crispy crunchy and the sauce inside will eventually make the bottom mushy. "Yum!"

Service is just a typical hole in the wall type of restaurant experience you will get. You pick a seat, hurry up and order, they bring out the food and you go up to the register to pay when you're ready. Don't expect any first-class customer service from here. Have extra caution if you have any food allergens as they don't believe in people with food allergies. Henan Lamb Stewed Noodle - surprisingly not gamey so they cleaned the meat well. Soup is great for cold days or I guess hot days if you're an older Asian auntie/uncle who believe you should be eating hot food when it's hot out. Not for me who doesn't enjoy lamb but was tolerable since it wasn't gamey. Shanxi Oil Noodle - what they are known for. I love the slightly chew and wide hand-pulled noodles. It was almost perfect for me but one of the best in Houston metro area. After eating, you can walk it off at the market or get some sweets from another place within the shopping mall.

Our server was as so kind and had the absolute flow down, checked on us at the most opportune moments (we couldn't help but order more). It was truly hard to close out my tab, which was incredibly affordable. She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
