My bf and I were back there in February and we loved this restaurant! We did the wine tasting across at their tasting room and then walked over at our reservation time and were seated promptly! I love the ambiance and decor of this place! It has both indoor and outdoor and the outdoor seatings are open air into the indoor area. Very breezy and lovely! It has the feel of a fancy cottage . Food was delicious and drinks were yummy! We loved every single dish we ordered: octopus, steak, scallops, and the mushrooms!!! So so good! Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived at Leoness Cellars, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the rolling hills of Temecula wine country, this spot effortlessly blends rustic charm with refined elegance. The views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor every moment--especially the food. We've dined here more than once, and each visit has been consistently memorable. Most recently, we were blown away by every dish we ordered. The natural hand-cut fries were the perfect start--crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and seasoned beautifully. They paired wonderfully with the chipotle lime ketchup, garlic aioli & cajun aioli and set the tone for what turned into a spectacular meal. For entrées, we tried the New York steak and the wild boar. The steak was grilled to absolute perfection--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. You could tell it was high-quality meat, cooked with care. The wild boar was a standout: rich, bold, and unlike anything you'll find elsewhere in Temecula. It was beautifully plated and accompanied by seasonal vegetables that enhanced the earthy flavors of the dish. Dessert was pure indulgence. The crème brûlée had that flawless caramelized top with a silky, vanilla-laced custard underneath. We finished our evening with French press coffee, which was strong, smooth, and a lovely, refined touch to cap off the meal. Beyond the food, the service deserves a shout-out--friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server offered excellent wine pairing suggestions and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying ourselves. Leoness Cellars isn't just a winery with a restaurant--it's a destination in its own right. Whether you're celebrating something special or just looking to treat yourself to a phenomenal meal in a stunning setting, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend--this is one of Temecula's finest.

Hello and welcome to my experience at the Restaurant at Leonard's Cellars. For starters Julia was a fantastic server. The restaurant had a classy/elegant summer feel to it. We opted to eat on the outside to get the natural breeze. Fortunate for us we were directly across from the fountain where we took some personal photos after our meal. As you can see below we tried several options which not only had a good presentation but was very tasty and cooked to perfection. We did a wine tasting just prior having lunch to prepare us for the bottles we chose to pair with our meal. I ate the sea bass which was delicious. The potato puree and chopped Brussel sprouts balanced well with the dish adding depth and richness of flavor. I sampled the other dishes and easily I would have been satisfied with any of them. The shrimp was plump, juicy, fresh, and tender. The lamb chop was cooked to a beautiful medium and seasoned with the right amount of salt. The boar and carrot combo was a hit. The quail went too fast for me to get bite. The truffle fries were hot, crispy, and have an intense blast of the truffle flavor. The house made condiments worked with the fries but certainly not needed. Overall this was an amazing experience shared with family. I do highly recommend you give them a try if you are in the Temecula wine region. There are plenty of places to take great photos and even a space dedicated to ceremonies overseeing the vineyard. 4.8 of 5.0

This place is AMAZING! The atmosphere, the customer service, the AMAZING chefs! I mean I can go on and on. I took my wife for our 10 year anniversary and wow they did not disappoint! Nicole was our waitress and she is just the best! So kind, professional and she recommended the wine, the truffle fries, the shrimp scampi linguine and the seared chicken and wow!!! All 4 recommendations were AMAZING!!! The food was INCREDIBLE and Nicole was the highlight of our night! We are taking my Mother for her birthday coming up! This place is hands down 5 STARS!!!!

Upon arrival, the property checked one of my requirement boxes: paved parking. I cannot tolerate parking in dirt that removes the shine on my tires and rims. After some confusion, I finally arrived at the correct tasting room for non-members and began my tasting with assistance from Eric, a fine young gentleman who offered to guide me through my journey. He provided the history of the winery and the background of the various wines I sampled. I was not fond of their white wines, but their red wines possessed character, complexity, and depth. The price of the tasting was on the high end, but I enjoyed it all the same. The property is very large, and well-maintained, and also hosts a distillery, somewhat hidden in the form of a speakeasy of sorts. Didn't partake, but intend to return in the future to sample. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will give some thought to joining their membership. Great views atop the hill, and a mellow vibe. Thank you Eric! Great customer service.

Funny the reason we chose this spot was because the food looked so good on yelp. Once we got our food I knew he wasn't lying. I got the Cuban and my friend got the Cesar wrap, both were great. We sat outside to enjoy the weather on the spacious patio. We never had to get up for a thing. We were well taken care of, our beers refilled and plates cleaned up. I would love to come back and try more of the food.

Once our order was finally placed, the food arrived fairly quickly. Everything looked excellent, with great presentation and generous portions for the price. The loaded nachos were outstanding--perfectly balanced with cheese, shredded beef, and all the other toppings. You could tell the ingredients were high quality. The EB Burger also looked great. For a $20 burger, looked promising and came with a generous serving of crispy fries and a large pickle spear. Although it arrived closer to well-done than the rare temperature I ordered, it was still tasty. The Not So Good: The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet it took quite a while to get served. We were only able to place our initial drink order after repeatedly trying to get the bartender's attention. Unfortunately, this became the theme of the evening. Even though guests around us appeared to be receiving regular service, we often felt invisible. When we finally got the bartender's attention to order beers, she hurried away before we could place our food order. It took additional time and more attempts to flag her down before we could order dinner. When the burger arrived overcooked, I couldn't even mention it because our server never checked on us or asked how the food was. Throughout the evening, I had to flag down other staff members just to request another beer or refill our water. Our server/bartender finally acknowledged the issue only after we spoke with another staff member about both the overcooked burger and the lack of service. To her credit, she offered to comp the burger. I initially declined but later accepted because it was nowhere near the temperature I had ordered. Despite the disappointing service, I still left a standard tip. I also told her it was a shame because we live right around the corner and had been excited to try this place. We were hoping it could become our regular Friday-night spot and somewhere we could bring friends and neighbors who enjoy good food and drinks. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't think we'll be coming back.

The bartender was genuinely friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. We sat outside on a very hot day, but the cooling misters made it surprisingly comfortable and enjoyable. There was a light breeze, the sound of soft live music in the background, and a laid-back energy that made it easy to just sit back and unwind. The food was decent, and the Persian-inspired wine selection was a nice touch. The architecture is also beautiful, giving the space a unique and elegant character that stands out.

What they call the sweet red wines, which are actually not dessert wines, are pretty good, though I suspect too sweet for most. Most of their other reds are very dry, if that is your thing. I didn't care for them. The negatives: Dirt parking lot. Definite car wash after visiting. The wine tasting room and the restaurant are in the same room. It's very unbecoming of a place like this. Speaking of which, the MAJOR downer, which is why this gets a 3 star review, is its like they ran out of money when they got to the wine tasting room and restaurant, which for some reason were combined. The wine tasting room and restaurant are like a glorified high school cafe. It's completely inconsistent with the rest of the place. It took all the pleasure out of wine tasting - like drinking wine out of a coffee cup. The food was ok but not spectacular. The gyros were good, the caramel lava cake was awful. It was like taking a 6 pack of small funnel cakes from Ralph's and pouring liquid caramel purchased from another aisle down the center of it. Why not true Persian food, if you're going to give the place and half the wines a Persian name? And why not higher quality food? ------ It was a relative ghost town here on a Friday, and from there we went to Europa Village and it was completely packed. Totally different vibe that was electric. Made me realize even more why Fazeli was so underwhelming. Wish we would have eaten at Europa.

However, be aware that the inside can get quite loud if live music is playing, so it might not be the most intimate place for conversations. The interior of the cave is beautifully designed, and it's a pleasant experience to sit among the wine barrels. The service was attentive and great, and we had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday there. There were several other birthday celebrations happening at the same time, adding to the lively atmosphere. If you're planning a large group, I strongly recommend making a reservation on OpenTable. They were very accommodating and quickly added our plus one to our group. If you call them and they don't pick up, they'll actually call you back, which is a great service. The food portions were generous, and I had to take half of my chicken sandwich home. The only unusual item on the menu was the calamari. It didn't resemble the typical circular calamari you'd expect; instead, it looked almost like fish sticks. It wasn't the best value for the price, so I wouldn't order it again. On the other hand, the burgers and tri-tip sandwich were amazing. Everyone in our group left feeling satisfied and full. The wine selection is quite impressive, with a tasting flight priced at $40. They also offer Margarita and sangria flights. I opted for a single glass of sangria, which was $17. While it was refreshing, I felt it could have benefited from more fruit and was not overly sweet. So, take what you like from it. Overall, the cave restaurant is a bit pricey, but it's a great option for a group outing. There's a distillery on-site, but it has a long wait if you don't make a reservation. The grounds are beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills of grapevines, and many people are taking photos. Parking is a bit of a hassle. You can park down the hill and take a complimentary golf cart up, or you can pay $10 for valet parking. Cash or card payments are accepted. The bathrooms are located outside the dining area. I would coming here again.

The cave is sooo cool!!!!! We were seated in the back to the left, where there were many tables set for groups of 2 people. It looked like larger parties are seated to the right of the cave.
