Where does one start? I googled a fun place for my 69th birthday. This restaurant came up in the feed. I was so impressed the maître D came out and helped us find this restaurant. Upon walking into this restaurant, you felt you were at a five star restaurant. The staff greeted you with such care. As we walked to the table, you can watch the students cooking in the kitchen. Such care as they found in the best seat in the restaurant. The waitress greeted us with smiles. She listened to every dietary need that we had, to be on point she actually listened to what we had to say. In my opinion, this is very rare in this industry. She asked if we wanted a house special cocktail. The cocktail wasn't only tasty. It also tasted so delicious. We ordered the guacamole and the homemade chips that are made in house. They brought out the complementary homemade butter and rolls. Which are both made in the morning fresh We put our order in. The food was amazing such care in the preparation. And of course, who wouldn't order dessert on their birthday. The apple crumble was over top. Came warm with two spoons. They delivered a platter with the words, happy birthday in dark chocolate. Along with homemade whipped cream and a candle. The prices were surprisingly very reasonable for what we ate. If you want to celebrate a birthday with a beautiful view great care detail and delicious food This is the place to go. Or even go to dinner at a different place this is the location. My co-worker and I had delightful meal at The Kellogg Restaurant today Friday, Feb. 27 2026. The food was simply phenomenal, a true culinary masterpiece. I indulged in the freshest, juiciest ground beef burger I've ever tasted. The chef's spontaneous creation of a blue cheese dressing was an absolute revelation, complementing the salad, and the burger perfectly. The gourmet-like tortilla chips, hand-made avocado dip, and hand-cut fries were equally impressive, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients--CalPoly grown from the Micro Farm that is in the backyard of the restaurant and Spadra. Brandon savored every bite of his steak frites, which were incredibly juicy and flavorful. The hand-cut fries were cooked to perfection, creating the ideal pairing with the grilled 6-ounce hanger steak. Brandon was so impressed with the quality of the food that he's already planning to bring his friends and family to The Kellogg Restaurant. read more

Came here to celebrate my birthday. Everything was great! The restaurant had an upscale feel with spectacular views of the hills and surrounding cities. Our server Fernando was phenomenal. Very attentive and friendly. We had a variety of food: the hangar steak, chicken breast, Cobb salad, salmon, short rib mac and cheese, French fries, apple crumble, tangerine creme brulee and pear tart. Everything was delicious. This is a student-run restaurant at Cal Poly Pomona. Students prepare the food and rotate as restaurant staff. Operating hours and seating are limited so it's highly recommended to make a reservation. Finding it is a challenge - the address just gets you to the college. I knew it was on top of a hill with a great view so I just drove uphill until I saw a sign for hospitality management. Following those signs took me to the parking lot. Once there, simply walk between the two buildings next to the lot and then veer right. It was tricky but I somehow found it without violating the law of manhood by asking for directions. I came with a friend for lunch. Once seated we were handed menus. I am guessing the menus change periodically so your options will likely be different from when we visited. They offer several appetizers, entrees, and desserts plus an assortment of beverages including wine. We were served by Maya who was delightful and really took care of us. I ordered the beef lasagna and my friend ordered two appetizers - crispy Brussels sprouts and spinach artichoke dip (which came with house-made chips). I also got a lemonade to drink. We shared our dishes. The beef lasagna was pretty good, a single layer with marinara sauce, ricotta, bechemel sauce, provolone, and parmesan. Nothing exceptional but solid. The sprouts were crispy, fried in a balsamic reduction with raisins (really!), almonds, garlic confit, and parmesan. I'm not a big fan of Brussels sprouts but these were great and the flavors, surprisingly, really worked together. The house-made chips were delicious but while some were crisp many were floppy which made it impossible to dip in the spinach artichoke dip (which was on the thick side and already challenging to dip a crisp chip). We ordered two desserts: apple crumble and coconut sorbet. Both were worthy of being on the menu of any top tier restaurant. The crumble had baked apple slices, tasty crunchy crumble, caramel sauce, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Perfectly executed. The coconut sorbet with a passion fruit coulis was simply exquisite. Prices are below what you would normally expect. Even if the food wasn't 100% perfect it was all quite enjoyable; nothing was below average. The fun of eating food prepared by students and being taken care of by a staff of caring students (including our fantastic waitress) made this a memorable dining experience. read more

This is one of those elusive places where you either gotta know somebody or make a reservation months in advance. The time window is bare but fitting for a 'teaching' restaurant. The first thing you face after a short maze to finding the restaurant, great hiding spot by the way with a relaxing view, is hospitality. Once you sit down, more hospitality served by eager students who seem to depend their grades too heavily on pleasing the customers or instructors who might be grading. Now I never brag about this but I'm a Le Corden Bleu drop out, cough cough, never made it to this stage of the courses but having worked in the food industry.. I feel the execution of the menu could've been better. Or at least the fried stuff.. which were 2 out of 3 savory dishes and the Brussels sprouts were browned soaked in oil. Same with the homemade potato chips. Even in thickness, great job, but again too greasy and unevenly fried. Certain pieces were too done and others under done, pale and soggy. Hazarding a guess- not enough heat and sat in oil for too long. The lasagna lacked a couple more layers but otherwise delicious flavors. The best part were their desserts and attentive refills in your beverage. Perfect job on the apple crumble and the sorbet! In respect to hospitality, fine dining, love the enthusiasm, but after a certain point it felt like I was Ron Livingston sitting in his cubicle with 5 different bosses coming to ask if everything's good here. read more

I haven't eaten here in over 20 years, and it's been on my list to return to, but I haven't had the chance to go back since their hours of operation usually conflict with my schedule. After talking to fellow Yelper Jerry T. @ the recent YES event this week about his dining experience here, I was more motivated to make my way over here. Fortunately my kids didn't have school today so I took this opportunity to take them to RKR for lunch. For a student run restaurant, I was really impressed with their operation here. I explained to my kids that this was like a class for them and my kids were also pretty amazed to see students behind the glass working in the kitchen and serving the tables. I really like how Cal Poly allows students to have the chance to work in a real restaurant setting and rotate jobs so they can learn how everything works. To drink I ordered the Sake Orange Sunrise, and it was tasty and refreshing. To eat, my family each ordered something different so we could share and try a bit of everything. *Clam Chowder *Chicken Pot Pie *Beef Lasagna *Brazilian Garlic Pork Chop *Zucchini Risotto (vegan sub option for the Roasted Cauliflower Steak that they were out of) *S'mores Tiramisu Food was all delicious and had wonderful presentation. The only thing was the pot pie needed a bit more salt. The pork chop was undercooked, so our server brought it back to the kitchen and brought back another one that was cooked perfect. Prices & portions were good and service was great. Parking is plentiful. If you've never been here before, once you park, make your way ALL the way to the end of the walkway to reach the restaurant. I saw some other patrons enter the first building on the left by mistake. Come give this place a try and support student learning! Well, there's a first time for everything...including eating at a restaurant run by college students! My friend and I had reservations at 6:15 to eat at RKR. Following the signs helped us find where to go. You park and then walk straight and make a right. The restaurant is sat on top of a hill with a beautiful view. It was a lovely drive! Our host was very kind and led us to our seats after a few minutes of waiting (we got there early). I didn't know what to expect, but it was quite fancy. We got sat and had time to look over the menu. Ibrahem was our server and was very efficient. We ordered the artichoke dip (recommended) and I got the smash burger while my friend got the cauliflower steak. The homemade potato chips (fries?) were super yummy and a fun addition to the dip and smashburger. The food was yummy! Nice presentation, too. We didn't grab any dessert, but the options sounded good. Overall, it was a lovely time. I think it's super cool that it's all student-run. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Ive been wanting to try this place out for a few years now, and finally reserved a table for 2 for dinner. This is a teaching restaurant for CalPolyPomona students, located on a hill on the beautiful tree lined property. I was impressed with the windows showing the students preparing the food in the kitchen. We were immediately greeted by the smiling host and seated soon after. We were given a window view table in the bar with a beautiful view of the hillside and cows, watching the sunset. Our server Simon was very friendly and suggested several options for appetizers. We ordered the Spicy Poke nachos which were very tasty with crispy chips and chipotle mayo. We both ordered the Brazilian garlic pork chop that was tender and had an amazing coconut curry sauce with just enough spice. Wine and beer selection is pretty good as well. I finally was able to try the restaurant at Kellogg ranch after having it on my list for years! It is a fully student run restaurant as it is part of their class which I think is amazing, the food is a little bit pricy for the portion size but it tasted good and the money goes toward funding the hospitality program so I didn't mind paying. The restaurant is a bit on the fancy side and I felt like I was underdressed but there is no dress code required! The service was very good and my server was attentive. Be warned though STUDENTS !!DO NOT!! GET THE TIPS!! ALL TIPS GO STRAIGHT TO THE SCHOOL!! I made sure to confirm this before tipping and my server told me that if the students are caught accepting tips they are SUSPENDED!! This is a student-run restaurant at the top of Cal Poly Pomona by their school of hospitality. I have been here several times, and my last time here was one of the best. My friend and I came as a walk-in for a table for 2, as the reservations were not open/did not have availability on the website the night prior. The wait was about 15 minutes and we were able to get seated at the bar. Apparently, they had a lot of bookings, which is why we weren't able to make a reservation. We ordered the brussel sprouts to share and we both thought it was great. For my main course, I got the Jamaican chicken, which was delicious in flavor and the chicken was juicy. The service was great, and they were very attentive to our requests and questions! Food also came out in ample time. We were fortunate enough to be seated as a walk-in, so I highly recommend making a reservation online through OpenTable. For a student-run establishment, I was quite impressed with the set up and just how amazing everything looked! The crispy brussel sprouts were so tasty and exactly the way I like them done--a great way to start off our meal. My friend ordered the Jerk chicken, and I ordered the Beef Shepard's Pie, both of which were also prepared well and flavorful. The portions were generous too. Delicious food and spot on service at this hidden gem on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona. We had the poke nachos, beet salad (not pictured) risotto with a side of salmon and steak and fries. Dessert was a coconut sorbet with passion fruit sauce. The poke was fresh, delicious and had a little heat at the end. Won ton chips were used instead of tortilla chips. Very crispy and a nice contrast to the poke. The risotto was cooked to perfection and has some mushrooms and tomatoes in it. I added a side of grilled salmon which was moist and had a crispy skin crust. Steak and fries were great. Big wedge cut fries that were seasoned well along with a 6oz. Steak grilled to medium. The coconut sorbet was a great ending to the meal. Refreshing and a good palate cleaner. Tip; Don't follow the map directions on Apple or Google. Open limited hours during semester, it could be a worthwhile trip if you're looking for something outside of the random fast-casual hum drum of the neighborhood. An open kitchen welcomes you as you walk in and a view of the Pomona valley. This restaurant is entirely run by students at the Hospitality school. There are some instructors walking about just to make sure things run smooth, but the students seem to be making most of the decisions. Clam Chowder - the roux was a little darker, but this cup was chocked full of clams and bacon Jerk chicken - the skin on breast was braised, which was interesting. It was moist, but the skin flaccid and it was a touch over. Lots of flavor here in each bite. Coconut sorbet with passionfruit coulis - that coulis packed a lot of passionfruit flavor. It was a nice way to end the meal. Super reasonable and it's nice to see the kids work a restaurant like professionals. The food was surprisingly good. We came here to support one of our friend's son who was working that evening for dinner service, and it was my first time there. The clam chowder was a favorite along with the reuben was delicious. For the salad, we did a wedge salad but with a Caesar salad dressing instead of blue cheese. The asparagus was also great. As I update my two year old review, I have now graduated from CPP for hospitality management. Yes, I'm biased of course but I can still be honest about my dining experience during the Spring 2023 semester. I can also offer a unique perspective on my experience on the other side now that I've officially graduated. Operating a restaurant isn't easy. Although this is a functioning restaurant, it's mainly a lab/classroom setting. The menu definitely reflects this as the prices are very low for the experience and food that is offered. A few years ago, they offered a prix fixe menu but are now doing a la carte service. I graduated in the spring of 2022, so it's been a bit since I visited campus and my first time dining as a guest in years. I stopped by during lunch on Valentine's Day which was coincidentally their first real day opening. For it being the first day, things seemed to go pretty smoothly. I didn't have a reservation as it was a last minute decision, but they were able to seat me at the bar. The food wasn't bad especially knowing that students made it. These aren't professional chefs working in the kitchen. Some of the people here may never step foot in a kitchen again. I was actually impressed especially knowing it was their first day. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini with a side of asparagus and the French toast bread pudding for dessert. The presentation on the dishes were on point and I even had a couple friends interested in where I was at. I genuinely enjoyed the asparagus dish and it tasted like a side I would get from a steakhouse. The asparagus was cooked well and the sauce was garlicky and aromatic from the sumac spice used. The pasta dish definitely could have used a touch more seasoning and richness, but the pasta was cooked nicely along with all the vegetables. The service has room for improvement of course but that takes time to develop. I remember being so nervous on my first day as a server. There are so many things going through their minds that it's understandable if the service isn't completely smooth and may come off as awkward. The main point is that these guys are training to learn the proper sequence of service. The view you get up at Collins College is a treat that I look forward to each time I visit. I took it for granted now that I'm no longer a student but I definitely miss it. You definitely have to make a reservation as the semester goes on. It is a controlled environment, so the restaurant will never be at 100% capacity. Definitely recommend giving the RKR a visit for a unique dining experience and especially if you're a prospective student. I'll definitely continue to visit in the future since the menu changes each semester :) read more

For the longest time, I've been told that as a student of Cal Poly, it is a must to try the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch before one graduates. And finally after a few years, I decided to give it a try with a group of colleagues. **As a first note, the restaurant is run by the hospitality students. This being said, be patient with them as they are learning how to operate at a very high standard. They will make mistakes, like all those that are learning do. Because of this as well, the restaurant does not take walk-ins. Should you want to try RKR, you would need to reserve a spot on OpenTable. Specifically for the Cal Poly Community, they take Bronco Bucks AND Meal Points along with cash and card.** My party and I came into the restaurant at 6:15PM and were greeted by two hosts at the door. Though we made a reservation in advance, it took them a good 10 minutes to find and confirm it. We did also bring ten people when we reserved for eight, which delayed our seating time by a bit. When our table was ready, we were lead to a private room and promptly seated. Before sitting, one of the hosts mentioned that it was the students' first dinner service of the week and that we should expect discrepancies here and there. But although being told this, I found the service to be VERY good, even beating out the majority of your everyday dining establishments! Looking around the restaurant, the first word that came to my mind is class! Dominantly of grey wood and black accented furniture, it came off as professional, intentional and well put-together. The room we were seated in was warm toned which made the atmosphere more intimate and had a full bar and wine cellar which really solidified a positive impression. Upon seating, we were greeted by two servers who took orders in layers, starting with drinks and appetizers, then taking entrée and dessert orders later. For my visit, I ordered a cup of Clam Chowder ($6), an order of Indian Roasted Chicken ($13), and a Blueberry Crisp ($6) for dessert which totals to be $25 dollars before tax and tip. (Note that the menu changes semesterly.) We waited for 10-15 minutes for each round of food to come. But it did not seem long as servers would come by to have a light chat and refill beverages. When the appetizers did come out, I noticed that my cup of clam chowder was a bowl. When inquired, the server apologized and said they would only charge me the price of the cup. Very nice! Looking at the bowl, it appeared to be homogenous, but looks can be deceiving! Inside had a great portion of clam (65% of the bowl) followed by celery and green onion. Following, the Indian Roasted Chicken came as a single piece of chicken thigh topped with cucumber raita and cilantro; and was included a side layer of red dal (lentils). For this small of a quantity, 13 dollars was a little steep. But given the flavor, it did not bother me too much. And last, the blueberry crisp was of a good size, consisting of mainly blueberry compote, followed by almonds, and lemon sorbet. Summing up the quantity category, 25 dollars was filling in the end and wasn't bad at all for a three course meal at a higher end restaurant. The taste of the food made the experience that much better as well. Beginning with the clam chowder, the broth was lightly salted, but also quite creamy which was refreshing on the tongue. The large pieces of clam absorbed some of the soup, mixing the natural down-curling taste of the clam with the streamlined broth. The celery was also fresh, adding a soft, but still firm chewiness to the softer items. The Indian Chicken was moist and had a light, but expanding taste. Though, the majority of the flavor came from the crispy thin skin on top and tasted of spice (perhaps curry). I found the raita to be a tad sour and thought it didn't mix well with the plate, but that was more of a personal preference. The dal also tasted spiced which was great, but I found it to be a little dry and a tad thick on the mouth. And last, the blueberry compote part of the crisp was a tad heavy and tasted like a warm pie filling, but I found the compote dominated over the almonds which contributed a miniscule amount. Fortunately, the lemon sorbet complemented the blueberries and amplified their flavor. **An afternote: my stomach began to hurt about 15 minutes after I left the restaurant.** Though there were a few hiccups in my experience at Kellogg Ranch, I definitely believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt. The staff were very professional and kind throughout! And when mistakes were made, they were not hesitant to correct them, making me feel well taken care of. The food quality was definitely there in all parts of the meal, and all at a good price tag! My experience dining here was quite memorable, which is why the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch earns a good 5 stars on my rating list! The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch or known to students of Cal Poly Pomona as "RKR" is mediocre at best. The restaurant itself is in an isolated location hidden at the top of a hill overlooking Cal Poly Pomona. This already makes it difficult to find and get to the restaurant, but it does come with a nice view overlooking Pomona. The inside of the restaurant is modern and a bit fancy with windows looking into the kitchen as you walk in. Be warned the restaurant is reservation only and if a member of your party does not make it then you and others with you will not be seated, which is inconvenient and weird. My party of 3, including myself, were greeted but then were told to wait which came off as odd because it wasn't busy at all. We waited about 5 minutes which isn't too long and we were taken to our table by our waiter. Before I go further into this review I do want to mention this restaurant is used as a training ground for the Cal Poly Pomona culinary students so I was expecting there to be some mistakes but not to the point where I would rate this restaurant 2 stars. The atmosphere was very awkward and made my party and I uncomfortable due to the restaurant being over staffed and about 5-6 workers just standing around against the walls of the restaurant staring at people as they ate. Our waiter was off to a good start by asking what we wanted to drink and getting the drinks quickly but failed to come back in a timely manner to ask what we would like for an appetizer or entree. The menu is bland with no images or good descriptions either, making it difficult to order. We waited longer than usual and ordered. I ordered the Parmesan Herb French Fries which were probably the worst fries I have ever had. The fries tasted frozen but worse with a dry inside and not so crunchy outside. The seasoning was bland and the only dressing option you have is ketchup, which they are not too generous with in the first place. Next was the Farro "Risotto" which again took longer than usual to come out. The dish was lacking seasoning and overcooked. For dessert I ordered the French Toast Bread Pudding which was the only good thing out of everything I ordered. Even the lemonade was bland and not much was poured into my glass. With bland, frozen tasting food in an isolated location and workers staring at you as you eat, you deserve a low rating even for a training ground. My party ordered different dishes and complained about the same issues as I did. We did go at lunch time and their is a different menu for dinner but I don't expect that menu to be any great either. Again, I understand this is a training ground but they seem to hold themselves to a high standard by making the restaurant "fancy" and the dishes they serve but maybe that standard isn't high enough. I started my weekend off right with a terrific meal at The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch on Friday night (Friday, September 23, 2022). The restaurant service opened for fall a couple weeks ago, so I was more than happy to experience what this new semester offered. I studied the menu offerings prior so I knew what wine to bring** to accompany my selections. This semester they are offering a pretty eclectic menu and it has me intrigued. I was delighted with my choices ... 1. new mexican pozole (pork, hominy, red chile, cabbage, cilantro, radish, lime) 2. pork belly "bánh mì" (pickled vegetables, cilantro, mint, jalapeño, sweet-chile vinaigrette) Each item was delicious and carefully prepared. The sauvignon blanc I brought was spot-on with both dishes. On the palate, the wine totally complimented the red chile, lime and cilantro in the pozole. Mostly, it seemed like the wine was made for that bánh mì ... the amazing acidity was what was needed with the pork belly, and the wine completely "fit" all the sandwich's accoutrements. It was a terrific evening, and I've made a few more reservations to enjoy other items on the fall menu. RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend if you dig spicy food and you are eyeing that posole, bring your own chile flake or crushed red pepper. Though flavorful and clean on the palate, the stew could stand a bit of spice to 'kick it up a notch' for it to be fully memorable. DON'T FORGET: Most importantly, be kind to the staff. Please keep in mind this an educational environment, a student-operated restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The restaurant is part of the hospitality management curriculum. In the restaurant, students rotate weekly through various staff positions, including management, to learn all aspects of a food and beverage hospitality operation. **There is a nominal corkage fee if you choose to bring that special bottle of wine to enjoy. RKR does have a pleasant selection of BTG wine and craft beer offerings at very reasonable prices. read more

This is a true gem on the Cal Poly Pomona campus. Had the salmon salad--so light and wonderfully cooked! The fries were ok (parmesan flavor). Highly recommend both the bread pudding and blueberry crisp desserts. The wine was excellent too! The food is reasonably priced and the restaurant is run by their hospitality program. I'd been coming to RKR for years, with many friends that either went through the program or is a faculty on campus. I've always known them to be student-run which means sometimes you will participate in a hiccup which is why prices are so low for what you get. Just went this week for lunch, few structural (not student server specific) observations: - pricing is through the roof! $10 for a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque. My espresso was $5. These are really premium level pricing! - food was amazing, the tortilla soup was the best I'd had and the desserts are out of this world - no bread for lunch.. I had to steal some grilled cheese crust to have with my burata cheese - menu selection was very lean. I understand they need to streamline for execution but wow there wasn't much to choose from Overall it just isn't the same place I remember enjoying for its unique set up. Touch of class prepared by a class. Picture you attempting to please hundreds of people with your first impressions on your dining experience, except you're the one preparing the meals for people that came for their special occassion. A dining experience with a spectacular view and best of all, it's all prepared by students studying to be chef's. We had an excellent hummus plate with some grape leaves and carrots and bakalava to try. The food was well prepared, tasty and met our expectations. The fine nice lady I had mentioned in the photo was very kind, informative and sincere person I've ever met. I think that she was the instructor. I admire these young chefs entering a profession with such admirable skills and I do thank them for the great experience that we had there. read more

Can I say a romantic atmosphere at night?! You look outside the window from the restaurant at you see the beautiful city lights. It is a breathtaking view. Anyways, I've been going to this school for a while and I haven't heard of this place until I took the beer and wine classes on campus. The food was exceptional, both times we had delicious four-course meals. I decided to come back for lunch with a friend. We were both greeted by the server, which introduced us to the wine selections of the day. Then we were seated at the bar. On the menu, they have salads, burgers, paninis, ravioli, chicken curry, etc. There's quite a variety. I mean nowhere near as extravagant as most restaurants, but keep in mind it's run by students. We both got the RKR burger with fries and it was actually pretty good. The prices were average and the wait time wasn't that bad. Overall, it was a good dining experience! read more

Where else will you be able to see a beautiful open kitchen full of hard working students creating delicious meals ? This place has that! I made an online reservation a week ago through Open Table to dine in around 7pm. They called me the day of to confirm my reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host and were sat in the lobby while our table was being set up. Our waiter made his way to our table and kindly introduced himself. He brought over our drinks gave us time to decide on what we wanted to order. During the time we dined, there was a special prefixed menu that included an appetizer and entree for $25. What a deal! I opted for the steak as my friend went for the salmon . We were both incredibly satisfied with our meal. My steak was cooked perfectly and the salmon was seared well without being overcooked. At the end of the meal the server suggested some dessert options and we both ended up sharing a peach cobbler . Nothing beats warm peach cobbler with a crispy top and ice cream! We split the bill and each of us paid around $30 which is a great price considering the service you just receive. It would easily be double the amount. The students did exceptionally well . The food reallys translates across to us as guests, that what is taught in class, is working. read more

Came here last night with a group of friends to support our friend who was hostess and were pleasantly surprised. It's my last year at CPP and I'm only now visiting RKR (they let students use their points to pay for their meal). I've heard a lot of good things about RKR from friends who have been before so I had slightly high expectations (keeping in mind that it is run by students). We had a reservation for 8 at 6:00pm (when they open for dinner) and while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive were seated in the waiting area. Once we were seated, we were presented with the a la carte menu (sometimes it's prefix) and asked if they could start us off with any drinks. Water all around :) After about 5-ish minutes the waitress came back and took our orders. I ordered the Gem Salad and Cauliflower "Steak" per my friend's recommendation (the hostess). Other people in my party ordered the Tater Tots, Clam Chowder, Salmon, NY Strip Steak, and Chicken Breast. My Gem Salad was refreshing. The grapefruit segments were so sweet! And I liked that there wasn't too much buttermilk dressing on the salad. The Cauliflower Steak was surprisingly VERY flavorful and well cooked. It came topped with leafy greens that were a little bitter (arugula) and pickled purple cauliflower which added nice acidity. I also tried the Atlantic Salmon with Truffle Risotto and that was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto had a really nice flavor. Also, loved how many mushrooms came with the dish. Everyone was pretty surprised at how large the portion sizes were and how filling everything was. We didn't have room for dessert BUT my friend said her favorite is the "Breakfast" Sundae. The meal also comes with complimentary bread (mini ciabatta and pretzel rolls). Service wise, we could tell that the servers and waitress were being trained. If you asked to split your check per person (which they kindly do), it will take a little longer to get back your receipts. Our experience here was great. The food was excellent and at a great price also! Kevin and Rita who served us were very pleasant and were on top of every need we had. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, lobster Mac and cheese, skirt steak sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken tortilla soup, and berry crumble. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich with the side of Thai cole slaw! read more
