So to look at it - well it looks like everything is going to be covered in grease, but it's clean as a whistle - just old. The wait staff is a bunch of characters and the food is pretty great. No complaints from my dining partner or I. Don't let looks deceive, give it a go! Great breakfasts.

First impressions mean a lot, and had it been up to me, I would have turned around when I saw the menus.... DISGUSTING. Covered in grime and falling apart. One photo shows where I scratched some of the grime off of my menu. And f the menus are this bad, what is the kitchen like??? What looked like a piece of carrot in the applesauce. Plastic in the water. This place has really gone downhill!!! GET NEW MENUS, FFS!!!! Waitress was nice.

Don't let the looks of this place scare you. The portions were huge! Fried chicken was delicious. Slavic sampler with soup was enough for 3 people. Very friendly people working. Clean restrooms. It's not fancy (hasn't been updated in probably 50 years) but if you are hungry... this is the place to try.

Stopped for brunch as we were leaving Cleveland, so happy we did! We were seated promptly, and waitress was patient while we all decided on our orders. Husband ordered cinnamon raisin bread French toast with bacon. Oldest daughter ordered chicken Caesar salad, youngest ordered chocolate chip pancakes. My meal was the All-American breakfast (enough to share with others!). Everyone enjoyed the meal. We would definitely return if in the area~ one of the best breakfasts I've had while traveling. *I did not check signage to see if the cash only policy has changed. We were prepared with cash as recent reviews indicated it was still cash only.

Excellent restaurant in Slavic village for all things comfort food. We will definitely be back when in need of a good hearty meal. They serve breakfast all day. My youngest stepson got the breakfast burrito and that thing was HUGE! I think it would make a chipotle burrito blush. I had the beef tips and noodles. Do not let the way they look fool you! They were excellent. We are excited to return and try more from the menu. PS: this place is cash only. They have an atm for you to withdraw money from if you don't have cash.

Great breakfast spot if you're in the area. Good quality food, with large portions that taste good! I've had it a couple times as it's on my commute with work. Ordered the western omelette and it was tasty as usual. Felt like the eggs was a tad over cooked this time but was still good. Home fries are great, just needs a touch of salt and pepper.

Slavic Village Sampler (not in photo is bowl of soup).

Visiting Ohio for the first time. Best food I've had on my trip! Our server Angeline was super sweet and hospitable. Better stuffed cabbage rolls than anything I've had in either Massachusetts, California, or Philadelphia. Also I'd never had City Chicken before and now I gotta say its probably one of my new favorite dishes.

Knowing what to order is key at this place. When you hit the right item(s) they knock 'em outa the park: soups, stuffed cabbage, paprikash.

It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I couldn't finish the whole plate, but only because I was full, not because I wanted to stop. Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

They don't serve their pizzas until noon, so that's what time we went and what a great decision! I had the Blanc pizza, and requested it well done as my normal preference, and it was delicious. 6 slices, a nice size. Very flavorful and cost $15. I also had the Bacon Cesear Wedge, which was not traditional wedge salad, it was made with romain - that luckily was still very crisp! It was a good portion, but could have been a little cheaper at $16. The bacon was made fresh, it is an open kitchen concept with a window so I literally watched her make it which was refreshing. Overall I have no complaints and look forward to going again soon!

I also opted for the bottomless mimosas for $30. Our food took a bit to come out but it was fine just enjoying the ambiance (and they were busy). When the food came, I tried my husbands catfish which was really yummy! The NY strip steak was a really thin steak which I was a tad disappointed in, but overall the portion sizes were large and for the price ($27) it still felt like it was worth it. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.
