Great find in Historic Downtown Conroe. I am a regular and absolutely LOVE this venue! Their menu is all fresh and really tasty. One of my favorite dishes is the Pulled Pork Enchiladas! It's really hard to choose another dish; but every once in a while I step out of my comfort zone.... I had Boudin Balls last night. They were perfect and the remoulade sauce was incredible. Everything is FRESH (not Frozen) which means it tastes great. But I have noticed that since COVID there are items on the menu that are occasionally limited and/or not available due to sourcing. They are very popular with the locals and get busy! So I try to visit before or after the typical lunch/dinner times.... The LIVE MUSIC is second to none! One of my favorite places in Conroe. Food is great and best dirty martini I've had. Brunch on Sundays is always fun!

I wasn't impressed. For whatever reason I had trouble finding something to eat that sounded good, so I settled on a plain hamburger. That's a Cheeseburger, cut the cheese. I ordered it medium rare. Maybe there's some law prohibiting rare hamburger, but it was so over-cooked and dry that I brought ¾ of it home to the dog. read more

Busy night, we came in for pizza and were told that they were out. We ordered burgers, before the food was delivered we were told pizzas were available again. I asked to cancel burger and order pizza and was told no burger was almost ready. Waitress asked manager who seemed not to care what we wanted or had asked for. If you are near Conroe, TX and hungry, this place is a great choice. Fine dining meets traditional pub is a good way to describe this place. Healthy tap selection and wine list, and hard liquor is available. The pistachio crusted chicken was phenomenal and the Blackened salmon was fantastic. Drinks were well made. We had brunch on Friday morning. It was the first time we had been there for breakfast & we're so glad we went. From the friendly staff to the fantastic drinks & food, everything was on point. The special Bloody Mary/Bloody Bull that Mark, the bar manager, made for me was the best one I've ever had. The flavor & spice were perfectly balanced. The Copperhead Brewery Cherry Medusa that he recommended for my husband was excellent for brunch with just enough cherry flavor without any sweetness. It went great with his Texas Poutine - steak fries with meat gravy, cheese, onions, jalapeño & eggs. The chicken & waffles that my granddaughter & I got were delicious - the chicken was very flavorful & crispy while the waffles were fluffy. The honey butter is an excellent addition. A hidden gem. Yesterday was my first time trying out this place and I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. First of all. The drinks there were AMAZING but kinda pricey. My son and I have been here 2 nights in a row, with my wife out of town. I like the feel. Cozy and a pub feel. Just hanging out and having a beer and dinner. My 11 year old likes how he's treated. I'm ready to go again, just to be with the crew. I've had their brick oven pizzas numerous times. Mostly carry out. Their Ring of Fire is good and the Dipiero. My taste is more traditional, but they have various styles. Last night my son, built his own. That works too. Tonight we started with their version of chips and queso. Nice twist off of normal. For dinner I had the Carnitas tacos and he had the cheeseburger. Both good. So for carry out pizza, I think they are one of the best around. For dinner at a place that is not noisy and not a chain, it's really enjoyable. I highly suggest it. read more

Tried to eat at this establishment. They were full so they took our name/number and said they would call...should be 20-30 minutes. We waited for 45 minutes before returning only to find our name crossed off the list. When we confronted the hostess, she very casually said "you know, I told them to call you" and let out a slight laugh. We told her never received a call as we sat in our car to wait. She said a table was about to clear if we wanted to wait 15 minutes. We told her no and she very casually said "sorry about that love" and turned to help the next person. I've been a fan of RBT for about 6 years, but this visit changed that view. We arrive around 6 for a leisurely dinner with friends before the show at the Crighton. Our first disappointment was that they changed the menu to remove a couple of their signature dishes...the steak and the pork chops. I had the meatloaf, which was very good, but my wife had the chicken sandwich, which was almost inedible...tough as shoe leather. We were finishing up the main course when the server started removing our dishes...before O had a chance to finish up on the tasty collard greens. Then, the server brought the check without asking or offering dessert. When we questioned about the availability of dessert, the server had the audacity to say that we could have dessert, but there was quite a line of customers and they needed our table! She basically asked us to leave, abruptly ending our leisurely dinner unsatisfied. Definitely not the impression you want to make to anyone you want to come back to your restaurant.
