What particularly impressed me was that he kindly invested time in reviewing the various functions and adjustments of the stove, which I was not aware of. We purchased an ilve range oven, back in October of 2023 knowing it had a 3 month lead time as we wanted to ensure we had no delays with delivery with our remodel. Margarita helped us select it, order it and she charged us in full. She confirmed they received it in February, said they had it, even scheduled a delivery (which I was home waiting for on my daughters birthday), but when they didn't show up I called and no answer. I repeatedly called until finally Margarita answered and told me they didn't actually have it. Despite emailing in February to let us know it had arrived and multiple emails in March and April to coordinate delivery. Then told me the company they ordered from went bankrupt -- in March (which doesn't explain why they claimed to have it in February). Now they are way past when we needed it so we're forced to buy a different oven all together from a different store and despite saying we'd be refunded over a week ago, still is not responding nor has refunded us our $8,000 for the oven we never received. Interestingly enough, they have been reported by bbb and other reviewers for the exact same thing. Refusing to refund for ovens they never delivered. Buyer beware. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They have not refunded me for a range that I bought from them in March of 2023 and have not received. In January 2024 I requested a refund because I still hadn't received the range and I have been given the run around. They say it will be refunded in x amount of days and three months later they still have not refunded my money. Every time I call I get the same excuse. This was over $10,000 for this range. So it's not a small amount of money. They keep saying it's cleared their account and it's their "processor company" that's having the problem. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They will take your money, not deliver the items and not give you a refund. We purchased an Ilve Stove and hood fan in November 2023. We were told they would arrive before Christmas. It's May 31st and we still don't have them. It's impossible to get ahold of Margarita and Nazar. They rarely answer the phone. If they do, they put you on hold, say they have a poor connection or hang up. They rarely respond to emails. It's one excuse after another - there's a shipping problem or the distributor went out of business, etc. Nothing adds up. The freight company they use (Frank from Priority 1) is shady too. He sent us a Bill of Lading showing that the stove had been picked up and would be delivered. I waited at home 3 different days and no delivery. When we contacted Frank he told us that the stove was missing. How does a 400lb stove go missing?! He suggested an insurance claim. We requested a refund but have not been given our money back. We are out of pocket almost $15,000. These people are all dishonest. Steer clear!!! read more

The range store service department sucks. I waited for six weeks for them to come out to even look at my oven. They insisted on ordering a part first. How do you know what part to order if you've never even looked at it?!? So, then they let the part sit for a week before calling to schedule a service call. They schedule me the day before thanksgiving! I knew they would pull something like this. I asked the girl if it was for sure "yes, I promise he'll be there". Nope. Two hours after their time window closed, then I had to call them to find out they weren't coming. I am so pissed right now! Then, they said if we can be there between 12-3 on thanksgiving. We purchased an Ilve range in July 2023 and were told at the time that there would be a three-month delay in the delivery. When October passed with no updates we started to contact them with questions. Over the following 7 months we have contacted the store repeatedly and have had multiple conversations with Margarita wherein she gave seemingly-reasonable explanations for the delays (such as their distributor going bankrupt unexpectedly, or having to deal with some undisclosed personal crisis). All we've gotten, though is more excuses and promises that she'll get back to us with updates. She hasn't ever provided her own update to us -- it has always been us conacting her. She also involved Frank from Priority1 shipping, and when he has been contacted he just defers to Maragarita saying that he's waiting for confirmation from her. We've requested a refund and are not optimistic that we'll receive it, now feeling resigned to having lost over $7,000. Our newly installed range oven needed service to replace a defective board. Dmitry, the tech who came out, worked fast to replace the necessary factory part. While I didn't purchase my unit from The Range Store, I would absolutely call on them again (hopefully not for a long time) to repair our appliances. Only downside was getting a hold of the one person who does the scheduling did take a few times, but sounds like they just need more resources to help manage the workload coming in. read more

I purchased an American Range product summer of 2019, amidst a big home remodel. I made multiple visits to The Range Store and other small and big appliance shops. The help from the folks here was terrific. It took a little time to get the specific range I wanted in stock (36" NG with open burners), but totally worth it. Didn't get around to installing it until January. The burners worked great, but the oven/broiler weren't functioning. I called the store and told them the issue. I'm almost an hour south of their shop and American Range doesn't have a service person for down here. The Range Store folks came down themselves and spent 3 hours double checking everything and getting her fixed up. Oh yeah, their price could not be beat. We used the 1,600°F searing station that night for some awesome USDA Prime filets! read more

After chatting on the phone, he ordered parts and had them shipped to us and then we scheduled the repair (we are 3 hrs from them so took some orchestrating to keep from any waisted time). The scheduling was a very quick turnaround, he was timely, thorough, professional and kind. He walked us through tips on functionality and calibration. We bought a Hestan Dishwasher to replace a Bosch. The quality of construction, thoughtfulness of materials, the quietness makes this a clearly superior choice. The quality of the cleaning is the best we have ever seen. Wine glasses just sparkle, pots and pans are spotless. Generally, when you buy a replacement dishwasher, you want it immediately. Delivery and installation were within a week which was a close to immediate as one could wish for. The installation by Dimitry was on time. They wore masks, they were knowledgeable, polite, and did a high-quality job. We were very impressed and would recommend them without any reservations. read more

Very disappointing experience purchasing an Ilve range from this store. Ordered in July, supposed to deliver end of November. Delays and we were understanding. Had weekly check ins for 2 months via phone with Margarita. Range arrived through customs and was at their warehouse waiting to be picked up and delivered to us. Then early January someone we had never talked to called and said they made a mistake and it had never come from a Italy and we had to wait another 3 months or more after a two months delay. Very sketchy no answers giving answers as to how on this day and age we could have so many details of it along the way and arriving then -it just never arrived. This is not the first they have done this. Search FB for "Ilve-Hallman-Italian Range" group, many stories like this and worse. Margarita solicited business in this group then disappeared when her lies were uncovered. They charge your credit card right away as well. We thankfully got our money back and bought from Hallman who had in stock ranges. But beware if you are ordering an Ilve range from this store! Find another vendor or go Hallman! read more

Our oven had a defective circuit board that needed to be replaced under warranty but due to the location of our place we were having difficulty finding someone to service it. The manufacturer rep was able to get in contact with The Range Store and as soon as we had the part, service was scheduled and the oven was repaired. Our remodel left us with a very narrow space for the new refrigerator, necessitating a built-in, which are typically very expensive. At the Range Store we found a fantastic Liebherr refrigerator that was just over HALF the price of other retailers! It was brand new, in its original shipping box, and further protected by an exterior box that The Range Store built for shipping. The price we paid was the same as "scratch and dent" stores, but the product was 100% new and perfect. Furthermore, Margarita gave tons of information, is extremely knowledgable and helpful, and made our search super easy, giving us confidence with this large purchase. I purchased a lovely gas range from the Range Store on Feb 17, 2020 right before COVID at a great price. In addition, later on in the year I also purchased a fridge, microwave and dishwasher by phone. Receiving a response from Margarita either by email or phone to get delivery/order status was was very difficult. I do understand they had to operate under the stay-at-home order conditions (delivery from Italy was also temporarily on hold) and so that is why I am rating 3 stars and not 2 (because their prices are great), but in my case I cannot honestly say I received did NOT receive great customer service even considering the pandemic so can't rate any higher, although everyone was very nice. When I purchased the range, I was told I would also receive a stainless steel backsplash and some extra emblems if I were to purchase more appliances (which I did end up doing). I did receive the appliances at different stages, but it was all very difficult and had a couple of missed delivery times and I felt I had to pursue this information. Margarita felt bad and said she would also include a SMEG kettle as a gift for the delay on our remodel. We finally had our last delivery of the microwave in Dec. 2020, but never received the backsplash, emblems or the kettle. This company is a total SCAM - they lied and they even created a shipment # to pretend that they are shipping the product! I have put an order in on the 2nd December 2019. Everything seemed to be normal until I started calling this company and NOBODY responds. Finally when I got a response I talked with a guy called Demitry and he told me that the unit will be shipped out soon. I got an email on Dec 4th with "SHIPMENT KGXHFHLPM" from the company so I wanted to call to make sure that the unit was not refurbished. I called and called after weeks of no response and then I finally talked with Margarita and she told me that the unit I ordered is damaged and they don't have other units so they cannot send it to me. I explained to them that I am currently in the process of building the cabinets around this unit so I need another unit - they offered another unit which Margarita told me that they will be receiving a whole container by the 27th December. I would still have to pay the same price even though the unit is a degraded from the original one. The measurements were very similar to the one I had put original order in so I gave the go ahead to ship me this unit with same original price. End of December came and went and got no updates. I called so many times and sent texts but yet again 0 response. Finally I talked with Nassar and he informed in January that by end of the week i.e. 10th Jan the unit will be shipped out and I will receive an email with shipping number. This never happened. Yet again so many phone calls and no response until I got Nassar again and he told me that he was not responsible for out of state sales so I had to talk with Margarita. Minutes later Margarita called me stating "I have a missed call from this number do you need anything?". She perfectly knew my phone number so I am sure she was just trying to scam me again! So I demanded her to give me the shipment number for my unit and she told me to hold on the line and she for sure will send it to me by email. I decided to stay online considering I didn't trust them at this point. I waited online 32mins!! Finally she came back and told me that the shipment number was issued and I asked her if the unit has been shipped and she responded yes. And that when I receive it I have to make sure that i go over the packaging etc before I sign etc.. I tracked it on the 27th January and there was no update. Tracked it again on the 28th January and nothing so I called the shipping company and they told me that there was an issue with this shipping since there is no type of information that was entered and they tried a lot of time contacted the shipper and they get no response. So Margarita while I was on hold she created a shipping number pretending to be shipping the unit which she never intended to!!! I emailed and texted Margarita and told her that she needs to get in touch with shipping company since she was the one delaying this shipping from being picked up. On Friday 24th Jan I called the shipping company and they clearly explained that there is no details of what they are picking up and so this shipping is not valid until the shipper provides more information. I called and called and left VM and also texts and emails cause I was so angry that almost 2 months later and now with the cabinets all done and manufactured around the exact measurements of this unit and with countertop in, I have no unit as yet. I received an email stating that they have tried their best and that they do NOT have the unit and this is being delayed too much so they will give me a refund (which till today it has not arrived as yet). LIES LIES LIES ... telling that it was shipped, creating a fake shipment to pretend it was shipped, misleading me and rarely ever answering the phone calls.
