Lane was amazing! What a good guy. Our fridge had been making noise for a while. He came out and told me that it was probably one of the fans, but he couldn't be absolutely sure. So, we opted to hold of on the repair. A month later the noise had become much louder, so we called Lane again who had told us that his estimate to fix the fridge would be good for 90 days. Lane arrived at my home right at the appointed time and was very friendly and professional. He covered his shoes and went immediately to work finding the source of the problem with my washing machine. He clearly knows what he's doing, quickly identified the problem and then then described my alternatives -- replace the electro-mechanical drivers, which would have made more business for him, or buy a new machine, which seemed like the best choice based on the cost of the repairs and the age of my washer. I would like to thank Lane of Superior Appliance Repair for his very quick and thorough response to our refrigerator problem. We had been without a functioning fridge for nearly 3 days and had gone to King & Bunny's this morning to discuss buying a new one. (Thanks also to the rep at K&B who called Lane about a potential repair after letting us know that a new fridge would not be available until mid-December!) Lane was able to come out and look at our dysfunctional fridge within the hour. (Amazing!) He diagnosed the problem immediately and drove to Tukwila for a replacement part. I recently had Don repair my oven. He and I had spoken before when I had issues with my refrigerator/freezer which was not keeping things frozen. Don was recommended by King and Bunny Appliance. When I called him, Don expertly diagnosed the issue over the phone and recommended buying a new refrigerator. "There's no sense paying me to come over when that money can be used on a new 'fridge." With the recent repair, Don immediately found the problem. He had to order the part, which took a bit more time than expected due to problems out of his control. Once the part was in hand the fix was quickly done. To sum this review up, Superior was honest, fast, and reasonably priced. Had a technician come out to check my washer post a power outage. He came after I had scheduled a previous tech that wouldn't work on the machine as the label of the make/model had worn off the sticker but only after coming out to look at it and therefore delaying my fix by a few days. This is a Father/Son business and they work really well together; Dad schedules appointments and Son is out in the field. The Son was the technician that came out, ran through diagnostics whatever error code had occurred, was no longer an issue. They guarantee their work so he said if the error comes up again, I can call and he will come out free of charge. These are the kinds of situations you worry about potential for being taken advantage of and I wasn't. He didn't over prescribe an expensive fix or upsell ongoing service. He just did his job, cleared the error and left and said if I need anything, to call again. That's how businesses should be run. I liked working with them a lot. Our refrigerator started making loud grinding noises with cooling issues and we called multiple repair companies for emergency repairs. Superior appliances not just followed through with their visit within the same day but made additional trips to ensure that proper measures were taken. They did their research, got the right parts to ensure the efficiency of the refrigerator and were reasonably priced. Top notch outfit. Great service, value and quality. I had an issue with something rattling in my 8 yo dryer. I called to just shop around, but when they said they could get me in same day, I was like, sign me up. The service call fee was reasonable too. They communicated with me a couple of times prior to the tech arriving to let me know how many stops he had and when to expect them. When the tech arrived (very professional), he inspected the dryer fully, noticed a few things were loose inside and that a couple of screws were missing. Tightened everything, added screws where missing and cleaned the dryer... all was working great upon completion and no rattle. Visit took less than 30 minutes... all for the price of the service call fee. In the words of Borat, "VERY NICE, HIGH Five". Highly recommend. read more

We had a leak with our refrigerator so much so that we noticed that one of the floor boards near our fridge started to warp. We called a few companies and the soonest they could come out was in a week. Fortunately, they were able to book someone to come out today and the hose is replaced and we're back to being able to use our fridge. The person who came was extremely polite and I was impressed that he instantly put on protective coverings over his shoes without me asking. Yes, the repair cost was potentially higher than if I had waited but to minimize damage on our kitchen floor it was well worth the expense. read more

Started out a little rough with these guys, but a strong finish earns them five stars. After a poor experience with another appliance repair company, I contacted the owner, Don, on Monday to set up service for our broken dryer. He was polite and very pleasant on the phone, and arranged to have it looked at Tuesday after 3pm. When nobody had shown up or called at 6:30pm Tuesday, I called to see what had happened. Turns out when he took my call, he mis-entered the information in the scheduling program and set it up for Wednesday instead. Frustrating, right? Here's where it gets good. I got no excuses whatsoever. Don checked his notes, saw that he had made a mistake, and immediately apologized. He took full responsibility without missing a beat. Taking it a step further, he told me that he was at a restaurant near our house in Issaquah having dinner, and could he come by himself to look at the dryer tonight to make it right with us. Sure enough, he turned up half an hour later and went right to to work. He identified the problem, told me he would order the parts, keep the existing Wednesday appointment on the books, and his son would be out the next day to install them. He was unfailingly polite and apologized again for the trouble. On Wednesday, his son called right on time to say he was finishing a job in Renton and heading to our place. Nice guy: low-key, polite and pleasant, good with my 4 1/2 year old son, and quick to get to work. He was in and out in under an hour, got the parts installed, tested everything, cleaned out the housing, and fixed a kinked exhaust hose that he said might be slowing our drying time to boot. The bill was very reasonable, and despite the error in scheduling, the dryer was fixed in under 24 hours. As somebody who manages a small business, I get that mistakes can happen, and how a business deals with them says a lot about their integrity and character. These guys are a great example of what a really good, privately owned small business can do right. I'll be recommending them without hesitation. read more

Our front-load washer stopped draining correctly and calling for an appointment from the 'big repair chains' was at least 2 weeks out. I called Superior Appliance and Don said they could be out the next day! Lane showed up on the front end of the 'arrival window' and was able to get inside our washer and unclog the drain that had 6 kids face masks clogged in it!!! Apparently they're thin enough to get down the narrow gap between the door gasket and the main drum. (public service announcement: use a garment bag to wash reusable masks!) He was fast and left things clean when he wrapped up. I would recommend Superior Appliance if you need reliable, reasonably priced service! read more

My refrigerator broke on a Saturday and this is the only company that cared enough to come out the same day. It was even his day off and he took my concerns (being without a refrigerator all weekend) to heart. He looked at it and put in the part order so that it could be fixed by Monday. Fridge got clogged up. I called them and they came out the next day. They unclogged it and it worked fine for awhile, then clogged again. The repair man came out the next day and replaced the broken part...house call was no charge because they guaranteed their work. I'm giving 5 starts because they came out on short notice, friendly, and they didn't charge the second house call. Fridge works fine now. read more
