I had a chance to compare Appliance Repair Team with another company on the same job, as called them after 2 months of struggling with a service team the home warranty company sent us. This was about a broken dishwasher. - more throughout investigation: the original company started a washing cycle, then after 3 minutes of listening they said it was the circulation pump died. Appliance Repair Team made sure that the water level was right, then they pulled out the dishwasher and checked if it wasn't the cables loosened. Although none of those were a problem, if it had been, they could have saved me some dollars avoiding an unnecessary pump replacement. - much better communication (which the other company totally failed). Other than it was more professional style, when problems arose getting the necessary parts, they did not let me hanging without information but called me immediately. I knew what was going on and what they tried. The other company had a full voicemail, an unresponsive email address and sometimes a bad mannered operator. - small thing, but the technician had their own shoe-cover. We had our own disposable set as we don't like when people walk in our house in shoes and technicians/handymen tend to do that, but this time it wasn't needed. This seemed an excellent company I can recommend to anyone. I am going to call them next time for sure. read more

The service that we request it was determining why are dishwasher was leaking soapy water on our kitchen floor. Nick first looked at the area where the soapy water was coming out of the dishwasher. He removed the plate and cleaned it and set it aside. He then focused on the grate that covered the drainage area as it was very dirty with black particles. He cleaned the grate, both inside and out. He then focused on the drainage area by cleaning out the opening using white vinegar to remove as much as the slime and other stains. He explained what he was doing and suggested what we needed to do in regards to using a different type of soap and keeping an eye on the drainage area. We were very satisfied with the work that Nick did for us and the suggestions that he made to help us in the near future. Nick is a hard worker and has excellent skills in the repairs. read more

Excellent Service, Highly Recommend Scheduling an appointment was and straightforward. While the phone line didn't answer right away, I got a text message very quickly and got a scheduled appointment for the next day. Dan came right on time, very professional to look at 3 appliances that had issues. He explained what the diagnosis was and what it would take to repair, being very upfront about whether a repair would be worth it. He didn't try to upsell me and was very honest. He started a repair only to realize that one of the parts was not the right one and would need to be ordered. He cleaned the dryer and put it back together temporarily until he could come back with the proper part. I had the pleasure of Mark and Alex who were right on time, very quick and polite. They found the problem which ended up being the sensor that starts the motor. Quick fix that wasn't too expensive and they had the part on their vehicle. I would also like to add that among all the companies I was talking with through the app they were the ONLY one who gave me a ballpark cost if it happened to be the whole motor. Every other company kept beating around the bush but they said $700-800 parts and labor depending on the type of furnace I had. I really liked the fact that they were able to answer that up front and not wait until they came out. Thank you for that. My LG washing machine stopped in the middle of a load. It's about 9 years old. I called Appliance Repair Team based on their high reviews on Yelp. I called and got the next available appointment. Everything went like clockwork and I felt like I was working with experienced professionals. Val arrived on time and was meticulous in taking apart the machine and diagnosing a broken water pump. The charge for repair included parts and labor and was very reasonable. Val returned in three days to install the new water pump. Fantastic service! Had contacted a different repair service first. Took over one week for a diagnosis visit. Even though I provided the other company with the model and serial number of the dishwasher, they said it would be another two weeks before they could repair the unit. I searched for another repair service and found Appliance Repair Team. I contacted them and was told that they would obtain the part & install it within 2-3 days. I would say it took one and a half days. Tom arrived and did a complete diagnosis of the problem. He provided additional information about the temperature of our water heater. We had an issue with our refrigerator that completely stopped working, and Max came out to take a look. From the start, he was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty control board. Instead of pushing for an expensive full replacement, he offered to try repairing the board himself. Max carefully removed it, soldered on individual components, and managed to get everything working again. I can't say enough good things about this company! They will get you back up and running fast! A few months ago I had an issue with the lights inside my refrigerator. They were able to come right out and fix the issue. This week, my wash machine broke down and they sent Maxim out that same afternoon and he quickly figured out what was wrong with it. 2 days later he was back with the part and had it installed and operating again in no time. They communicate really well via text and let you know the estimate and and even text to give you a heads up when they are on their way. I couldn't ask for more in a repair shop! Summary: Quick service, but they weren't able to repair my fridge. When my fridge broke with an electrical short, they responded to my request for a quote in a few minutes and were able to have someone out within an hour. Amazing! John quickly replaced the main board, but that did not solve the problem. John didn't feel like he could fix the problem for less than the cost of a new refrigerator. I don't have a way to know whether he's right or not. It feels like refrigerators are simple enough machines that it should be repairable. It also feels odd to pay the service fee when they weren't able to do the repair (for less than the cost of the fridge). But maybe this is what excellent service looks like? read more

My dishwasher was giving me a leak error code on Sunday evening. Monday morning I called Appliance Repair Team and they sent Maxim to my house the same day. He quickly diagnosed the problem, but unfortunately did not have the part to repair it. He was able to place an order for the part and it arrived Wednesday evening. Appliance Repair Team called me that evening and scheduled Maxim to return Thursday morning. He replaced the valve and the dishwasher was up and running again with no issues. Oven stopped heating up late Friday. Called Saturday and got a 2 hour appointment window for Monday afternoon! (Wasn't urgent) Maxim texted near the start of the window with a 30 minute heads up to his arrival. When Maxim got there, he was super informative and professional. After one error code lead me to clean a filter buried deep inside my whirlpool clothes washer, it kicking out another code that had my head scratching. So I called The Appliance Repair Team Saturday and got an appointment on Monday. Tom, the technician, tried to get me in earlier as he was ahead of schedule but I couldn't meet him, so he showed up in the scheduled arrival window. He listened to what I had done so far and took over. He was able to isolate it down to a $40 sensor, which he fortunately had. Our fridge suddenly stopped working. We called a few places but was unable to get ahold of a person without having to leave a voicemail or send a message. I had a very pleasant experience with the technician who replaced my electric oven's lower heating element. Maxim was extremely polite and mild mannered and explained what I needed to know about the repair in detail. He took precautions (booties, mask and gloves) so I felt very comfortable having him inside my house even at the height of the pandemic. We had an issue with 2 burners not working on our gas stove. We were able to get an appointment right away, next day. Tom was on time, diligent with his work, and communicated well during the service. He was clear about findings and presented costs for repair up front. He was able to fix the disconnected wire and extreme cleaning needed on the burners to get everything working properly again.
