Outstanding. Party of 7, had to wait for a table. (Nothing unusual -- the Range usually has a wait regardless of the size of the party.) 25 - 35 minutes. Okay. We waited outside. The manager came out to apprise us of the situation and wait time. Very thoughtful. Once seated, service from Kate was great. Friendly, efficient. Food, as always, was great. I LOVE their Impossible Burger. Everyone liked their meals, including biscuits and gravy, Mediterranean salad, salmon BLT, lobo club. All at reasonable prices. Dessert -- bourbon peach cream cake -- Wow! You can't beat the Range. Thanks. read more

This place did not disappoint. Our server Rob was the ideal server--balanced amount of helpful suggestions and letting us scrap it out ourselves. We shared the green breakfast burrito with bacon and the blue corn pancakes with blueberries. The pancakes had pine nuts on top which was a treat. Excellent flavor profile. I had a pickle Bloody Mary and my life is changed. I will forever order that!! My spouse had the prickly pear margarita and he downed that thing quickly! We hope to come back any time we are in town. Come. Eat. You won't regret it! read more

Full bar, huge mimosas, great prices, in house bakery. I had a cheese danish and bacon and a latte. Mr. Yelp had sausage, eggs, potatoes and sourdough toast. DEF recommend. Also many local flavor chile dishes. read more

I ordered the DDD Meatloaf plate. You will see in the attached picture that it comes with what I call farm fresh green beans. Because I grow green beans in my garden, I am used to them being cooked very lightly which makes them crunchy, so most of you may want them cooked more. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was good but I would have preferred it to have been cooked medium. They were out of the Death by Lemon which by the description I can understand why. I settled for the Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie. You cannot go wrong with this dessert. They make a majority if not all of their desserts in house. I definitely recommend that you give this establishment a try. They have a vast menu for both food, drinks and desserts. My guess is you will leave quite satisfied! read more

Service was good. Ambiance was nice. Food was meh. Ordered the patty melt it was dry and didn't really have any flavor. BF ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dense and the gravy didn't have any flavor. Bacon was good. Side salad was good. read more

Tasty Bloody (pickle) Mary to start off a really good meal. Love all the things to look at and converse about during the meal. The adovada(spelling) was super tender and the grits cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the touch of fried onion pieces. They just need to watch their fresh produce, it was looking pretty sad. The menu looked like it had a lot of fun items to try! read more

I arrived at this new location, filled with anticipation and a zest for the Range of old A difficult waitress compounded by no additional help led to heavy heart. The guacamole and stale chips without an offer of a refill sealed the deal The creme brûlée had an icy stare very much like the wait staff. I would love to give this another try read more

Nice eatery downtown that has plenty of options that can accommodate a lot of picky eaters, or groups of people with different dietary restrictions. Staff was friendly. Has indoor and outdoor seating options. Desserts looked amazing but didn't try any. read more

This is probably the worst service I've received. We arrived and were seated and to took 29 minutes for a server to come talk to us even though a couple walked by our table. Server came took our drink order and 15 minutes later arrive with it incomplete and wrong. The remainder came15 minutes later we place our order and it took 40 minutes to arrive. That was the last time we saw the server till we finished we gave him out credit cards and it took another 30 minutes to come back with our cards and the way we asked for it to be divided was wrong at that point we let be and signed them and left. Since the cha he from Standard Diner to Range the service has gone down hill and food quality has gone down hill. Were I able to give negative stars I would have. read more

I've been to The Range Cafe on Rio Grande, but I was happy to see this new location on Central Avenue - close to the heart of downtown Albuquerque. It's a smaller and more intimate location than the one on Rio Grande . . . and it has an outside patio. During the time of Covid, having the option of a patio has been a life-saver. When inside dining was taboo, the restaurants that could make social distancing and patio dining available were ahead of the game. The new Range Cafe made us feel comfortable eating at a social distance from other guests. All the service folks were masked. as were we until we started eating. As usual with The Range Cafes, our breakfasts were excellent. Now, here is where I admit that I have never eaten anything but breakfast at a Range Cafe. I know, I know, everyone tells me their other meals are excellent too . . . but, heck, when you can have blue corn w/pinon nut pancakes, why eat anything else? Coffee is excellent too - always a test for how good a restaurant is. Strong and fresh. Okay, next time I go - tomorrow? - I will try something else . . . promise. read more

Service was good. We went at an odd hour so the bartender was our server. Hamburger was so so, sweet potato fries soggy and cold, but the coconut cream pie was outstanding. There were several luscious looking desserts on display. We left with full tummies but probably won't be back. read more

I love breakfast here. Get the range roundup. It might not be in the menu but you will not regret it!!!

By far a great burger! One of the best; and I'll say better than I expected. Super service. Really interesting selection of margaritas. The green Chile margarita looked tempting but the blood orange margarita was outstanding. My burger with green chili was cooked perfectly. I would honestly say as good as Chef Ramsey's in Las Vegas, it was that good. See the pics for my proof. Green chili dressing on the salad was interesting and not powerful as I had expected but was good. It definitely enhanced the greens. Excellent service also made for a great experience. HIGHLY recommend the burgers. read more

Unfortunately I'm not completely satisfied with happy the breakfast service at this location. I usually love Range Cafe and they are one of my favorites for breakfast in Albuquerque. I love the dirty chai, they have refreshing Italian sodas, tasty alcoholic drinks (especially the bloody Mary's)... However, this is my first time at this location. So I ordered an Italian soda and modified eggs Benedict with tomato and avocado minus the bacon. The Italian soda was forgotten, and the eggs Benedict came out burned and cold. The hollandaise sauce was all over the place, all over the fruit cup, it completely absorbed the meal... And the side of potatoes also arrived cold and not very appealing. I usually hesitate in taking things back for a new order for fear of pissing off the cook, but this meal was just not good. The new order did come out better and the server stayed professional. In fact the server really redeemed them and did make things better. Thank you Mike P! I may try them out again and update the review if the experience improves. read more

Sat at the bar for lunch. Bartender was very friendly. Enjoyed a local beer, Purple Haggard which was a lighter pilsner that was refreshing. I ordered the blue corn cheese relleno with green rice and pintos. I added a side of guac that was pretty small with lots of raw onion. The food had great spice level and flavor. I got both red & green chile. Super tasty. Fast service. They serve breakfast most if the day. Enjoy! read more

Great food and service!! Healthy options really enjoyed it. Planned to go to the grove but it was so busy I went to the range, glad I did.

Delicious food. Worth the wait! Home made goodness. The savory green chili stew was by far the best I have ever had, chunks of real white meat chicken breast, fresh potato/squash/carrot/celery/tomato/onion, and of course New Mexico green chilis, topped with blue corn tortilla strips. The salad was great too. Fresh breaded coffee really hit the spot to wash down the meal. I will be back to try more from the tantalizing menu at this fine diner! read more

I wish I'd tried this place sooner! For some reason, I didn't think they served alcohol here, so I kept passing it by. I finally tried it on Independence Day, since it was one of the few places open, and was glad I did. They have a full bar! I've been back several times since then. The menu has a wide variety of food, and all of it looks really good, even the stuff I haven't tried. Everything I've had there so far has been great, and the portions have been large. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the music is pleasant. The dishes I recommend from personal experience are the Quesadilla, the Mediterranean Salad, and the Blue Corn Enchiladas. They also have a 3 PM - 6 PM happy hour daily, with drink specials and $3 Tacos (which are large & tasty)! read more

Great food, great atmosphere and we love to have breakfast there ant time we come up from El Paso, Texas.

Delicious food, wonderful service and fabulous desserts! More like a dinner/cafe from a food selection perspective with numerous choices, it probably has something for everyone. I had the southwest sampler platter with chicken tacos, enchiladas and a chili relleno (a personal favorite). All was nicely prepared and delicious! The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. The dessert was the star though. Plenty to choose from with an interesting slight twist on each it seems such as chocolate coconut cream pie and the awesome blueberry pie had a touch of cinnamon in it. I loved this place! read more

Made a point of coming back to the Range when I came into town for work. Really like the Bernalillo location, but could only find time for the downtown location. Will definitely be back when I am in town. Thanks for a great meal. read more

I travel to the area about once a month for work and I stay at the Springhill Suites across from Presby Hospital. It's been a challenge to find great restaurants in that area that are open, have adequate parking, and good food. I stumbled upon this place and was not disappointed. The menu was small, but specialized. They had authentic green chile/Mexican options on their menu along with amazing salad options and American cuisine. The drink menu was comprehensive and a lot of mixed drink options to choose from. I had a coconut cranberry mixed drink and it was delightful! The had a seasonal menu with some drinks and food options as well. I chose Beef Diane that was served on top of cheesy grits with green beans. While the plating was a but runny from the sauce, the entire meal had excellent flavor and was very filling. I also took a slice of the lemon cheesecake-like dessert home. The dessert menu and display cases were amazing! All home-made and something for everyone. My dessert was amazing, a lemon lovers delight! I would highly recommend the cafe and plan to visit again with future travels. read more

Awesome food and service. Thank you from a visitor from Texas. Nachos done right! Perfection.

Downtown location. The scrambled eggs are the best I have ever had!! The pecan sweet roll was big enough for two.

Came here to grab some dinner to-go and have a drink on a Sunday evening. They have a bar area which is nice and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I ordered the quesadilla and shrimp tacos a la carte. The food held up very well on my half a mile walk back to the hotel. My only regret is that I didn't get one of their giant deserts! I ordered way more than I could eat but it was all very tasty. read more

Good food and nice environment where we could have a conversation. Will definitely go back.

Food, Service, Ambiance- ALL EXCELLENT CARNE ADOVADA!!! Is an absolute must! It's the best I've ever had!!! Something about this location makes it stand out from the other Range cafes. I immediately ordered an espresso martini once I saw it was made with local espresso and let me tell you when I say this is the best espresso martini I have ever had! My partner ordered the pickle (bloody) Mary which was comprised of home made Mary mix- absolutely incredible. I couldn't resist the appetizer choices and I was stuck between the nachos or green chili strips but the green chili strips were the top choice and they were just amazing! I will say the service was not the best but it didn't matter that much because we were there to watch a game. My main entree I had the meatloaf which was great. We showed up an hour and a half before closing time and up until the last 10-15 minutes people were getting served food and drinks which I know most places stop serving food an hour before close. Overall great food and drinks, I highly recommend to any out of towners or locals! read more

The service was sporadic at best. Waited for beverages while asked 3 times by two different people what that was... ?!??? Food sat up at Window while several staff members walked up, looked at it, then walked away! By the time foods arrived at table, it had taken 40 minutes from the time order was placed, but hamburger was RAW in the middle. (I could see the food sitting there, and then being brought to the table.) Walked out. Hate to think how sick the food would have made me, or the rest of my party. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Too many years in the service industry to find this acceptable. Come on, you can do better!!! Your reputation is better than this!!!! The place is cute, though. Whatever. Food was HORRIBLE, service was scatterbrained. read more
