So here is the rabbit hole you want to go down. I have been here like 3 or 4 times now for after work happy hour. I can say food, drinks, and services is consistent. While I do not have a go to drink I will say I do enjoy their whiskey sour. To be part of a happy hour I know its well liquor but it taste as if I got top shelf. I have only had the wings and truffle fries....both pair great with liquor. Overall I like this spot. Services is not over the top but they are not rude. Stopped The Rabbit Hole on a Monday to watch the football. They have happy hour from 5-8pm Monday-Friday and $1 wings on Monday (gotta order atleast 6). I enjoyed the Lemon Pepper and Hot Honey wings a lot. Had chicken nachos that were super good (half off during happy hour) Also, we ordered a 100 ounces tower of Michelob ultra for $23 (this is the regular price!!!!) which I thought was a steal. I've been to pretty much ever iteration of what this bar has been since 2011, and I think the Rabbit Hole version might be my favorite. Minus one star for how expensive these drinks are, but the overall vibe is so fun that I'll have to forgive it. I'm not sure if this is every night, but they were playing throwbacks with a mix of Bad Bunny's top hits and it was a vibe when I went in here. Not too crowded at 10 pm on a Friday, but I'm assuming this place gets busier as the night goes on - especially with the DJ and dance floor in the back. Something to note here if you're ordering a drink is that they don't seem to have well drinks here. I came here to grab a drink with the girls on a Saturday night. We found a spot two blocks down the street and the place was right off of steinway. It looked so cool from the outside and even cooler on the inside. Downstairs was super crowded so we went straight upstairs. We finally got upstairs and it was like a dirty library theme which was super cute. They had like tons of book shelves, red leather couches, fireplace, disco balls in the ceiling and a bar. I think the live dj was downstairs and they just had the speakers upstairs but the music was still loud upstairs. So we just drank and chilled. This place truly sucks. The bartenders consistently behave as if they can't be bothered. And I've ignored it 3 times before drafting this review. If they have their friends at the bar you can guarantee you're not getting good service. At time there no bartender behind the bar and good luck even being greeted. I have been there for food which sucks and I've been there just for a few drinks and to meet friends and to dance updates and they are just not consistent. But we all know the overall standard of service and making folks feel welcome is pretty much out the window for most establishments. Haven't been to this spot since it was called Raven Head? (or something) But it was great to see the bar revived and refreshed! I believe this is a rendition of the Dirty Rabbit bar in Miami. I came here with a group of friends for a birthday and we had a great time. It was a Tuesday during happy hour, so we got half off of steaks & burgers. I got the steak frites (well done) and I loved it, especially the sauce on the steak. Everyone else in my group got burgers and had good things to say about their food. We also got free popcorn after our meals, which was a pleasant surprise. The cocktails were all delicious, and a great deal given the price. They were all well balanced and smooth. The bartender (I can't remember her name but shout-out to her) really knows how to make a good cocktail. I had an espresso martini, a ride my white pony, and a long weekend. The espresso martini is one of the better ones I've had, which really surprised me considering it's made with cold brew instead of espresso. On a random Saturday afternoon after going to Yoga nearby, I decided to walk down Broadway and check out the many food spots around--this spot stood out! Zoey, a lovely bartender at The Rabbit Hole saw me taking pictures of the place and invited me in to see the inside of the bar (and the Speakeasy upstairs!). The place was quite sizable and I'm just in love with the aesthetic stylistically (reminds me of Persona 4 & 5 for any of my video game nerds out there). They have happy hour from 4pm-8pm that day and it was all pretty decently priced. I got a cocktail and a chicken slider with waffle fries, which was solidly filling (if you get it with fries, it only comes with one slider so you know!). I haven't come at nighttime but this is the kind of spot I would love to see at night! The speakeasy and the downstairs are 2 different vibes entirely from what I was told. The decor in this place is awesome, the first floor has a fun colorful neon decor, the second floor has a ceiling full of disco balls. The drink I ordered tasted so cheap and bad that I had to leave it there. When taking a closer look at the receipt there was an automatic gratuity. Wow on drinks and on one drink, that's absurd. I was not quite sure what to make of this place. I hoped it would be a competitor to a well-known Irish bar a few blocks down. Instead, I found a sports bar and lounge with young waitpersons dressed in bunny outfits. So their concept is a little different. They only have a few food options, and their bar food, in terms of burgers, was expensive sliders. Rabbit Hole has sexy decor, which is a throwback to the 60s, and they certainly get +1 for ambiance. I was taking in the atmosphere when I smelled something like hookah or a similar scent to my disgust. This smell was not pleasant. I don't know if I will be back!? The future of the Rabbit Hole could go several ways. They could either be a classy successful upscale bar or a rowdy bar attracting those who are potentially looking for trouble. Time will only tell. So the place is cute with a cute vibe. The bartender was our waitress and when the waitress came she closed our tab made us pay. We got complimentary popcorn. We had a burger fries a frozen (which wasn't really frozen) margarita. Wings (lemon pepper) but they didn't taste like lemon or pepper & they were wet. & a beer. We paid 70 something don't remember. Then 2 more people came we ordered another beer another frozen drink that was actually frozen this time, 2 other drinks & Mac & cheese. I had to leave early told them to tell me the cost I'll send it. Somehow that bill was 149. I will say that we had happy hour for the 1st 2 drinks. But I don't believe that was the correct price I think they double billed but since I wasn't there I couldn't say if that's the truth or not. I tried to call they didn't answer I left a message and no call back. I someone else say be careful cuz they over charge & I think that's the case here. To preface this, I was given a complimentary drink ticket to come check out the place post a Yelp Queens event around the block. But reviewing the bar outside of the whiskey ginger I imbibed in. Apparently, it's the same chefs as the Citrico Cafe we were at. The design inside is insane. It's kind of like a nightclub vibe but with Play Boy bunnies running around serving you. This used to be a dive Irish bar on the corner so I'm not sure how to feel about it yet because my mind is still completely blown that this used to be the Ravens Head. Drinks - nothing totally stands out completely. Prices are fairly high. Standard beers on tap with a price range of $8-9 and cocktails are $12-15. Average snack and bites prices. Again, they're going for a lounge vibe. Which sometimes is my jam but usually not. It definitely has it's own unique twist with the bunny schtick and there is plenty of interesting stuff all over the place to look at. Worth stopping by to at least check out. read more
