Now as for the food, we started off with the Duck Rolls ($15). The dish came with 4 rolls, which were very tasty. I especially liked the wood ear mushrooms inside and the sauce added some nice sweetness to the flavor profile. However, the main course of Koong Karee ($27) was disappointing. It was a shrimp curry and while the initial bite was pretty good, the more I ate of it, the more I realized the sauce was just way too salty. It was also very onion-forward. Even when mixed with white rice, it was hard to bear a whole dish of that saltiness. It's very possible this was just a rare disappointing dish, but it is the one that I have to consider for this review. So overall, despite that disappointing dish, the tasty duck rolls, beautiful environment, and good service are still just enough to squeeze Soothr LIC into the low 4 star category.
