    Monfongo with chicharron

Had an amazing dinner for a friends birthday earlier today and the vibes were amazing. Starting off with the food, everything was delicious. Dominican style Monfongo with crispy chicharon. 10/10 highly recommended. The ambiance was full of energy and staff were so amazing. We definitely recommend making a reservation and getting there quickly because this place is one of the hottest joints in town where you'd wanna be at! Am I right? Bad Habits lead to good people ... the restaurant owner came to our table and ensured everything was great and it was, had a fantastic time and a greater experience

Went here with my wife. Overall we had a good experience. You definitely need to ensure that you do a reservation prior to visiting this place. They were packed when we got there on a Sunday night, I don't think we would've made it in without the reservation! The place is extremely loud during club hours, too loud for my personal comfort, So ensure you're coming at the right time. The place looks very nice, and very welcoming. I really wanted to enjoy the food, I had the pork chop and it just didn't hit the way I hoped. The yellow rice was undercooked, I asked if I could switch to white rice cause my wife's white rice was well cooked and fluffy. But unfortunately, after only waiting 10 minutes, I ended up with a plate of undercooked white rice. One thing I will say is that we tried the Pio Pio Sushi, now that was delicious and worth the visit just for that alone. We will definitely be back.

I went for dinner. For appetizers I ordered the tostones sliders and they were delicious. For the meal we ordered shrimp mofongo, the food was cold but the flavor was tasty. We also ordered the chicken sushi, it was pretty good. The restaurant is not too big but its well decorated and the music gives it an uplift vibe. Our waiter was on point, he checked on us nonstop. I will be coming again and will try a different meal.

This is Still my favorite happy hour spot in Astoria hands down! This place has it all; the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the staff is so friendly. We came here to celebrate my birthday last month on Thirsty Thursday. Not only do they have $8 happy hour drinks but also an $8 happy hour appetizer menu. We shared chicharron de pollo, tostone sliders and calamari. We always have a good time here! See you for our next birthday Bad Habits!

Recently visited Bad Habits with some coworkers, it was a great spot for happy hour! If you're looking for a spot that blends Puerto Rican and Asian flavors with a vibrant, club-like atmosphere, this is it. We kicked things off with their margaritas during happy hour--totally worth it. Half off Margs during happy hour. We tried a variety of sushi rolls including the Pío Pio, Mar y Tierra and Cevichado. Very filling and delicious fusion rolls with fried plantain on the side. Also 2 for 1 during happy hour. The vibe is what really ties everything together. Think great music, cool lights, and an energy that makes you want to stay all night. Whether you're here for a quick bite or to let loose after work, Bad Habits hits all the right notes. Can't wait to come back!

Randomly popped in Sunday night. We didn't stay long. Dj was great though. Cute spot that's opened late. I was told they also serve food & they offer hookah. Enjoy !!

Bad Habits offers Latin-inspired sushi dishes that unfortunately aren't so great, but their well-made drinks and lively and very LOUD Spanish music create a vibrant atmosphere. The energy is great, although the food (some of the entrees and all of the sushi rolls) could definitely use improvement. The service provided was okay - not all that great.

Had an amazing time at Bad Habit for my friend's birthday! The food was delicious, the server was super attentive, and the DJ kept the energy up all night. Perfect spot for a fun night out!

We went here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night and at first, we didn't see any reservations online for our desired time, but after calling we were able to get a table! There were plenty of available tables when we came, so I'm not really sure why there weren't available reservations online. However, upon entering, the atmosphere, decor, and vibes were very fun and noteworthy. For drinks, we ordered the bebesita, la otra, and la motama mule. My la otra was a fun blue color and at first tasted like a pina colada. However, I felt that the drink itself was not well mixed, as it got quite strong and borderline intolerable near the bottom of the drink. The bebesita looked very cute with the pineapple texture of the glass, but my friends also thought it was a bit strong. For food, we all ordered sushi (mar y tierra, a-cevichado, salchi-papi) and all were beautifully plated. I personally quite enjoyed my a-cevichado and the salchi-papi that I tried was also quite good, but it was filling due to the inclusion of the potato. The mar y tierra was also interesting due to the small pieces of steak and chips on top of the sushi. I would definitely return to try other drinks and food!

I came here for my cousins birthday and walking into the restaurant it had a great vibe and ambiance. Definitely a good place to celebrate birthdays and go out with friends. It's more so of a younger crowd in their 20s. We had a lot of fun but honestly, their food wasn't really that good so I don't know if i would visit here again. The decorations and DJ was really fun and nice though. I didn't finish my meal, the taste was off and the food was cold

Super cute little spot in Astoria. Has a clubby decor vibe with neon lights and tv screens. The drinks are delicious and come fast. We ordered a little of everything to try and everything was super yummy . Service was fast .

Brunch Platter! Cute little portions of some of their brunch offerings.
    Stephanie M.

Wow! The food. I've been here for both brunch/ dinner on a Saturday and I was not disappointed. I often find that restaurants with a party vibe do not place enough attention on their food offering and this was not the case here. They had platter options with a variety of items that were delicious! I didn't fully give it 5 stars because of the add on cost for the bottomless which just felt excessive. It is clearly displayed on their menu so make sure you read everything but all in all we had a great time

If you're looking for food, I'd recommend: - The brussels sprouts - great reduction/marinade with a tiny bit of spice - The short rib with demi-glaze over a bed of mashed potatoes is my favorite item on the menu - The chicken parm is delicious and a huge portion - 4 of the 6 people in our party ordered lasagna and agree it needs to become a staple on the menu - Lastly.. The bread pudding. You won't find a better bread pudding in all of NYC. The vanilla bean ice cream is placed on top of "fresh out the oven" cinnamon bread drizzled with raisins and caramel. The staff was…read morefriendly, and the atmosphere was nice, with plenty of people inside along with our large group. The menu isn't the largest, but they gave a long list of specials on a separate menu. The specials don't have their price listed, which made it a bit awkward ordering, as I asked about a bunch of the main dishes, which were all apparently $50 to $60. In terms of drinks, we split a large selection of BYOB as per the group. I decided to go with an appetizer and pasta. However, in retrospect, I probably should have gotten the Branzino Alla Livornese, or another fish dish as my main dish, or skipped the appetizer entirely and ordered one of the expensive fish dishes. My appetizer was the pretty good Polpette for $14, listed as homemade meatballs, tomato sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. This came with several small soft meatballs with a decently flavored tomato sauce. I slightly prefer other spots, which gave larger meatballs as they have more texture, but they were fine, and the number of them makes it so you can split this dish. This was good enough. My main dish, rather regrettably, was the $26.95 Tagliatelle Ai Funghi with shiitake, cremini, portobello, oysters, and marsala wine. The portion was decent, and the pasta was decently cooked, though slightly soft for my liking. There was a good amount of mushrooms, which paired well with the very typical wine sauce, but there was another major issue with said sauce. The dish contained many sprigs of charred aromatics mixed among the sauce and mushrooms, which were presumably thyme, judging by the earthy aftertaste. The charred pieces overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the sauce and the pasta, also having a very unappetizing texture. It wasn't like it was just large pieces that could be easily picked out, so I occasionally got an overly earthy and bitter bite. I would have brought this up with the waitstaff, but they were very overwhelmed, so eventually I stopped eating. This place had friendly staff, and many other dishes looked tasty. However, I didn't have the best dining experience.

There were some heavy hors d'oeuvres which included your tropical charcuterie options, fried calamari and artichoke, and mini arancini. I must say, that arancini was amaaaaaazing. I didn't want to be greedy so I only had two, and I'm still kicking myself for being so modest. They were worth the calories. Luciano was the main server for the mixer and recommended a white wine that I cannot remember. I want to thank him as I frequently get migraines afterwards and even though I had three glasses, I woke up feeling fine. My colleagues and I stayed for dinner and Luciano was our server (yay!). He was so charismatic and attentive during our meal. I ended up trying the l'hamburger which was made with rib tips, while most of my team went for the steak. The burger was probably one of the best that I've had - there was so much flavor and it was really moist. Also, it was the perfect size. I left feeling satisfied, but not overwhelmed or heavy. The fries weren't really fries, though. They were potato wedges, and they didn't really add much to the meal. I didn't finish them. Although we opted out of desert, Luciano brought out complementary tiramisu and a slice of hazelnut cake for the table to share. I definitely enjoyed my experience.

Another nice touch was the gourmet hot chocolate and chili dog cart they had stationed on the sidewalk outside next to the hotel entrance.
