Went out for a birthday party. We got two tables and two liquors. It was over $500 but we had a large group. It was worth it. Parking was not so easy to find but we got lucky. I would recommend going early because it was pretty empty around 10:30pm on a Saturday night. The food was okay. The shrimp lo mein had a chef boyardee consistency. Fries were decent. There was a belly dancer around 12:45am. She balanced a plate of lit candles on her head. It was amusing. The place got packed by 2am. You can also eat at the bar if you do not want to split your food tab.

I really loved my time spent at CBar. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy some good vibes, tunes, drinks and good company. The staff here is all about providing good service and a good time. My friend randomly researched after work happy hour spots on Yelp and asked that I join her and a friend on Friday evening. We headed over to Lefferts Blvd and found parking on the side streets around the busy intersection of Jamaica Ave and Lefferts. As we stepped in the ambiance was very posh and sensual. A lot of deep eggplant purple, black and gold. Vintage paintings, chandeliers, floral arrangements, buddhas. Loved it. Every woman's dream. When the lights go out it looks even more beautiful. Lisa greeted us and gave us cute laminated purple menus for appetizers and cocktails. Those of you who know me, know I love a creatively themed cocktail menu. From the very start Lisa was aiming to please never once leaving us unattended or requesting assistance. I ordered a passionfruit Margarita which was very good and the presentation was perfect. I followed up my order with a rum punch that gave me a left hook straight into tipsyville. Very good cocktails Lisa. My girlfriends drooled over the appetizers and decided on Pepper Shrimp, fries and Jerk Wings. This area is Little Guyana and Little Trinidad. The spice these items were packing was very... authentic. I loved the mix of top 40, classics and Soca they played here. I was jamming the whole night. I would definitely return to celebrate a birthday, have a happy hour or special occasion. The ambiance is great and they have a lot here to offer in the convenience of remaining in Queens.

I'd just like to emphasize this... I HATE RICHMOND HILL. Anyways, I decided to go to C-Bar with a few friends despite my hate for the area. THANKFULLY I DID. Charlie is so friendly and welcoming. The bartender knows his way around the dranks and has a great personality with admirable looks to match. Overall decor is elegant, clean and modern. We were given complimentary shots and BBQ. - SO . GOOD. The music was on-point so was the hookah. Def will be returning. TIP: Parking is a bit difficult but not impossible.

    Dead ants in my cocktail.

Totally disgusting!!! Me and my best friend saw a lot of good reviews but it was a lie. When we got our drinks they had ants in them !!! We didn't even notice at first so we had to have drunken some because it was alot of ants! We flagged down the bartender and she just says "oh I'll just take it off of your bill , we're closing in 5 minutes anyways" 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

This was my second time dining here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it once again…read more After enjoying a delicious meal paired with a fantastic all-jazz performance, I'm already looking forward to coming back. I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

We tried to make reservations for 6:30pm, but it gave us an error message that the time had been taken already, so I was assuming that the restaurant would be packed, but it was the opposite when we walked in. There were only two other people there. So I would definitely look into their reservations system. For drinks, I went for the mango margarita. 10/10 recommend the drinks. My margarita was delicious. their cocktail menu looks super fun, they have drinks that come out in little bathtubs and cute presentations. For food, we shared the ahi tuna tostada appetizer which was so good! super fresh and flavorful. For our mains, I got the chicken al pastor tacos (loved the flavors, especially the avocado crema) and he ordered the carne asada tacos, which were also packed with flavor. Portion-wise, for the price, you get three tacos, so it felt very reasonable. The tacos were definitely a hit for both of us. The only small downside was the service towards the end. everything started out great, but once we were done, it took a while to actually get the check and pay. Kinda funny how it took longer to leave than it did to get served. Not a huge deal, but just something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule..they definitely don't rush you out. Overall great vibes, great food, great drinks. I would absolutely come back!

I hate to bring down a mom 'n' pop shop, but this place isn't very good. It's also kinda pricey for Forest Hills and for the quality you get. Sigh. The best dishes we got were the Oxtail Croquettes and the Crispy Salmon. Things started going downhill at the pretty but bizarrely flavored Forest Hills Roll, which inexplicably pairs salmon, tobiko, orange, chives, avocado sauce, and teriyaki mayo. I appreciate a creative/fusion roll, but salmon and orange should never, ever exist on the same plate. Ever. The worst item we got was the Chicken Udon. I'm not sure how aany Asian restaurant could mess up such a staple dish, but in Daikon's case, it's because they used Japanese SOUP udon, not stir-fry udon. As soon as the plate was set, I could tell it was the wrong type of udon, and the udon was massively overcooked. Yes, there are different types of udon and they are meant to be cooked in different ways. They are identifiable by their shapes, storage needs and preparation needs, a memo Daikon clearly missed. Points for loading the dish with veggies, but eating them within the soggy mess of udon was just unpleasant.
