We came in May, on a cloudy day, so it was not busy and we were the only ones there. We were able to linger around the pool and enjoy our drinks for quite a while. I had their version of the orange crush, which I believe is made with rye so was good but not a favorite. Drinks are slightly expensive (of course, It's a hotel bar so this is expected) although I thought they were creative which was nice. If you are there on an off day, would highly recommend it for the comfortable patio furniture and beautiful views.

This was a lovely spot for a drink by the water on a hot Saturday afternoon! If that's what you're looking for, this is the place! The atmosphere is amazing. If you're looking for great food, I'd plan to eat elsewhere. We ordered the guacamole, chicken caesar wrap, and buffalo wings. The guacamole was pretty good, but the others were disappointing. The chicken wrap mostly tasted of the burnt grill lines on the chicken. I will be back to enjoy the great location, guacamole, and cocktails!

This place is filling a need that Baltimore should not have considering it is on the water and that is a good outside bar on the waterfront. The place is small as about the size of a shipping container between bar and kitchen though there are a fair amount of tables and a couch lounge area. Most of the pool area is reserved for hotel guests including the cabanas. Bartenders were very nice and I always like places that have plugs for cell phones. The two cocktails I had were well made and had a wine for every taste. I did not try the food as stop serving at 8. Drinks are done at 930. Menu is limited with just a few apps and couple larger entrees. If weather is nice this is one of the best options in Baltimore. Just wish they stayed open later especially on weekends.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

A few of us came early and got drinks at the speakeasy upstairs which I definitely recommend! It had a great drink menu and cool vibe. For actual dinner, the restaurant itself had an eclectic menu and swanky decor. The service was spotty. I had to ask for water refills 2x. Also for a group of 12, it took about 7 mins for everyone to be served food. Yes, this is a large party, so you must have several servers come bring the food when you're charging these prices. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'd like to come back but at the price point, I wish our experience was better and wish the food was more consistently good.

I actually found Union Hill while planning my friend's 40th birthday dinner from another state, and from the moment I reached out, everything just flowed. I inquired about hosting a dinner and one of the owners, Matt, got back to me within a day. From there, the planning felt effortless. He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The private dining area worked perfectly for our group, and they even have an upstairs outdoor area as well as a downstairs outdoor space, which I didn't get to experience this time but definitely want to the next time I go back. I'm so grateful I came across Union Hill Kitchen & Craft Bar. It made such a special occasion even better.

As you can see from my previous review, we did not have the best experience the first time. But tonight was absolutely amazing. I think we must've just caught them on an off day the last time. We got the chicken fingers for my youngest daughter, and they came with a marinara sauce. But of course she wanted ketchup. We asked Greeta if they had any ketchup and as it turns out, they did not. But Greeta went to another restaurant nearby and brought back some packets of ketchup. If that isn't going above and beyond, then I don't know what is. The food was absolutely stellar. We got a lot of things and shared them, but some favorites even amongst all the deliciousness were the whipped ricotta, the Caesar salad, the chicken marsala, the diver scallop entrée, and the tuna appetizer. The cocktails and wine were also fabulous. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars and now we can't wait to go back!

Whenever I see a local restaurant/chef nominated for such an award, I try to get there to see what it is all about. Unfortunately, my first visit was not good. It began with our seating. For this outing, I was with my wife. We arrived and were immediately seated at a small two-seated table directly in front of the main entrance. The restaurant was extremely busy, and the table we were seated at was basically at the crossroads of all the traffic. Also, the location was very cramped and made it hard to move. With that, the worse of the problems was actually being so close to the main entrance on a cold evening. The door was constantly opening and closing allowing blasts of frigid air each time. That made our seating exceptionally uncomfortable. I can sometimes look past bad seating, understanding that it is important to get as many people in so the restaurant can make money. Many times great food can make up for shortcomings in other parts of a restaurant. Moreover, amazing service can really make me forget about those seating issues. To start, we got the Arancini Funghi appetizer. To my concern, it seemed to come out exceptionally fast: about 4-minutes after we ordered. And wouldn't you know it, the arancini was frozen most of the way through. It took a decent amount of time for the server to return, he was very nice, and took the frozen appetizer away. It took over 10-minutes for a new one to come out. At that point I was agitated. When I tried the new arancini appetizer that was brought out, it was cooked well, but had almost zero flavor. Needless to say, I was done for the night. After another long break of waiting for the server, who was very attentive to a four-top a few tables away, came back, I told him to cancel my order. My wife did get hers. Now, back to the service. We went for long intervals without our server coming to see how we were doing or trying to actually remedy the situation. He was constantly focused on the four-top that I guess was going to be the better tip. I guess since I had canceled my main course, he knew the tip would not be as good. In any case, the service was lackluster for the whole evening. My wife got the Ricotta Cavatelli that came with lobster. To me, it looked too soupy. She said it was a little soupy but was good. Personally, I did not try it and was ready to go. In the end, we were also charged for the arancini appetizer that had to be re-fired. I was not happy about that. If a restaurant makes a mistake, the customer should not be charged for it even if they receive a re-fired replacement. Our server, even though very nice, was not very attentive to us and more worried about a four-top. The frozen arancini was frustrating. The re-fired replacement was flavorless. Our table was in a terrible location and we were constantly blasted by gusts of cold air the whole time. In the end, the experience was not good. Will I return to give Marta a second chance? Yes. I don't like writing negative reviews, but the experience was bad enough for me to write one. When I return, and the experience is much better, I will write a new positive review. Until then, 2 stars is all I can give.

I asked him if this was the same sent back plate of food and he said "yes" and said the added the avocado. They UNWRAPPED the original wrap and just added the avocado and brought the entire plate back. I immediately questioned how that follows food handling guidelines. If they weren't going to redo the order, they could have just brought avocado slices to the table! The MANAGER had a very dismissive, RUDE attitude and so I sent everything back and left. I did tip the waitress cash because she was great and had got us drinks by that point. Again, she was nice and side-eyed the manager agreeing what he did was not acceptable.
