It's one of the few late night places in wine country so it gets busy on weekends. There's live music on weekends as well so if you're sound sensitive I do not recommend. It was quite loud but I personally still enjoyed myself and had a good time singing along. The seating is first come first serve so you might have to wait for a table but usually something opened pretty quickly. The drinks were tasty and the service was good. There is also food options available even in the later evening. We tried the carne asada fries and they were delicious. The cheese sauce and chimichurri cream, with very tender meat, yum!

Inside, the ambiance reminds me of Nor Cal - SF with a cool neighborhood restaurant where the surrounding area melts away. It's classy yet unpretentious. We took my Yelp friend Lori out for her birthday and we all chose the price fixe meal. The entrance can be confusing only because the front door jams shut and one has to go through the back of the restaurant. You get 4 course plus a bread course and amuse bouche. Let's pause for the bread course. This bite sized piece of heaven is otherworldly. They need to serve more of it throughout the meal. The chef's starter was lovely and then we settled into our meal. It will be European style service so definitely let them know if you need to hit a show or movie. From the four courses we tried a bit of everything: Beef tartar (wonderful and innovative version of this dish), foraged mushrooms, charred cabbage, beet passionfruit salad, filet mignon, duck confit, and the only dessert that matters: charred butter cake. All were stellar!! Not a miss on the menu and all at 5 star quality. We also had tea and a cocktail, again both were outstanding. The service needs refinement though. It's a step below Michelin level fine dining indeed. I brought two bottles of wine, corkage $25 each, and never once was our glasses filled. I filled up everyone's glasses all night. This was irritating as not only did I pay corkage, but they added $10 tip to corkage with automatic 20% tip at end. The server did not deserve that extra $10 although she was lovely throughout the meal except for one more misstep. After the main meal was over, I wanted to have some more of that wondrous bread and was told the kitchen was closed. We were never warned about this. Every restaurant tells the guests at least 15 minutes before the kitchen closes. Other than those minor mistakes, this was a fine dining meal not found anywhere else in this part of S Cal/Riverside County. Highly recommended!!

We had such a wonderful experience at Pinnacle Restaurant and wanted to specifically recognize our server, Miranda, for making the afternoon so enjoyable. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, helpful, and incredibly sweet. She checked on us consistently, made great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food itself was very good and we really enjoyed everything we ordered, but what truly stood out was the level of service we received. Miranda was incredibly professional, attentive, and thoughtful. She made us feel genuinely taken care of, and that kind of hospitality is becoming harder and harder to find these days. You can tell she truly cares about providing a great experience for her guests, and it absolutely made a difference in our visit. Excellent service can completely change a dining experience, and Miranda exceeded expectations in every way. Walked in at 12:40pm greeted with the most unfriendly smirk from the Manager, Anne. Asked if we had a reservation. I said no. Interestingly the first two parties ahead of us were not asked that question. My family of 7 (2 Babies) was told they were too busy to seat us and suggested we take ourselves to Faulkner Winery instead or wait 30-45 minutes to be served. Alarming since there were only six tables with about 20 people in the restaurant at the time. I counted five servers doing their duties and wondered how does this restaurant that is only open for lunch unable to serve us. Was this laziness, maybe racial bias as my family is a mix of Asian and Caucasian, no it can't be, I will give her the benefit of the doubt and leave it as just rudeness. First impressions count and you've lost our family, friends and much more. Don't waste your time. It's not worth driving up the mountain to the Pinnacle of Rudeness! read more

We went to the Mothers Day Brunch. Where do I start, well I will start with the good. The staff was friendly. The food was about a 7. If your going to charge 70/person for brunch, why not have unlimited mimosas? But NOOOO, lets give them 1 mimosa gratis.. and then charge for more!!! I have been to brunch all over the San Diego area and never have I seen this for that price. Now to add insult to injury..... they added a 18% gratuity ....... 18% for self serve brunch??????? really..... I walked out of there feeling cheated..... I get the Mother's Day premium..... And I am all for tipping waiters and waitresses..... but this was a sucky move..... and I get it you wanted to get us while you can.... and you did .... success!!!! They enjoyed their drinks, as the bar had a nice selection. I chose the bottomless mimosas, as it was worth it if I even had two. I ended up having three, one raspberry, one guava, and a traditional orange. The buffet, though not huge, was very nice and still rather large, and very reasonable for only $36. The fruit was fresh and delicious, and they had a lovely spread with smoked salmon and lots of toppings for the bagels. I chose the made-to-order omelette station and had a full veggie omelette with lots of mushrooms. I also really enjoyed the sopes, something I don't often find these days. They were great, with slightly crispy bottoms and delicate toppings. The food was so good, I would have gone back for seconds or dessert pastries, but one can only eat so much.
