Special - All Cuts Pho (large)
Tien N.

I stumbled upon The Pho after getting groceries at Trader Joe's in the nearby plaza. It seems like a new, well furnished and inviting place for late lunch so my sister and I decided to try it out. When greeted, the only host / food runner / waitress was a bit distressed probably due to the lack of staff to help at that time. However she was so sweet and went above and beyond to make sure us, as well as other patrons were taken care of during our time dining there. We wanted to try 3 dishes: crispy chicken wings, special all-cuts Pho and the Bun Bo Hue (beef noodle soup, Hue style). The crispy chicken wings were well seasoned and battered to crispy perfection accompanied with sweet tangy chili sauce. Pho had a pleasant aroma and broth was delicious. Although the restaurant does not have sriracha, they do provide chili oil, another type of sriracha-like hot sauce, soy sauce and other condiments which makes it easier for customers to adjust each dish to their liking. The Bun Bo Hue was nice. Tons of broth and noodles. We even asked for some to-go so we can finish the leftovers. Overall food was excellent. The clean modern decor made it pleasant to dine. There is a single stall unisex restroom in the back that is also clean. Plenty of day lighting and tables/booth options. Outside, there's ample parking. A great place for lunch / dinner. I highly recommend The Pho. Thanks to our wonderful waitress for taking care of us. She made the experience very pleasant and inviting.

One of things I appreciated about this place are the portion sizes. When you order a large bowl of Pho, you'll actually get a large bowl of it! They do not skimp on the meat and noodles. There are many places around Burien/SeaTac that does this, you'll pay a premium for a large bowl and the ratio of broth to meat/noodles are off; you get a generous amount broth, pieces of meat and noodles that can be slurped up in few seconds. I ordered this restaurant's large combination Pho, it had large cuts of flanks, tendon, and meatballs; a delicate seasoned broth with the right about on spices such as sugar, cardamom and cinnamon; some places go heavy on these spices but they got it right; broth appearance looks clean, no murkiness or unusual aftertaste; no fish sauce. Service was fair; a young aloof & unenthusiastic person with a poodle-like hairstyle took our order and payment. Inside is spacious, clean tables and cutlery. Apparently they have happy hour where their menu is slightly discounted. I'll come back soon when I'm craving a good bowl of Pho!

The food here is fresh and the portion sizes are great! Got the combo vermicelli bowl and it was so good

Combination vermicelli bowl $17 comes with pork, chicken and egg roll

This review is solely based on a comparison to other Pho restaurants in the surrounding area. Combination vermicelli bowl $17 comes with pork, chicken and egg roll. Tried the Pho tai with tripe. Really great broth! Not too salty had good flavors Combination Com Tam plate $20 (doesn't have an egg like the photo on the menu though!) But quality seems good. Ample parking and the restaurant is very clean. Restrooms are also nice and clean, which is rare at a lot of pho restaurants. Staff are also friendly. The chicken in the vermicelli bowl would be better if it was grilled. But that's basically my only complaint. Oh, and the lack of egg on the rice plate despite the photo showing an egg. Prices are comparable compared to other pho restaurants nowadays

Aside from looking clean and nice, everything else was bad for us. There was a wait list to sign up and after we waited for 5 minutes, a server came out and asked "Who came first?". The patrons looked so confused and someone said "Er, why don't you look at the list?" 1st strike! Then when we sat down and placed an order, after punching in everything, the same guy asked us to actually repeat everything again. We happily did and asked to make sure the beansprouts are cooked. He brought a dish of raw sprouts immediately. Then we asked him to bring it back to cook it. 5 mins later the same dish reappeared miraculously in front or us. We gave up and decide to ask another server to do so for us The pho finally came and boy, broth was so much that I thought I ordered some hot pot. And the first sip was a total disappointment. The browth lacks both the Pho smell and the umami taste. Never in my life I had to put so much fish sauce and other sauces to make it edible. And the bowl had some chips in there, making it dangerous for people who likes slurping the broth. And the coffee was overrated. The ice wasn't well blended

The food was excellent... good flavor, but the service was horrible. The waiters didn't greet us. They just put down the plates when they brought the food. They didn't say anything, as if it were an animal. There was only one table. And they forgot the appetizer and mistyped the order. They didn't give us a refill of water.

Christmas party everyone ordering yummy Beef/Filet Mignon, Chicken or Combo Pho!

We just had a very enjoyable pre-Christmas get together with 15 friends & neighbors! I arranged w Taty Phan & "Monica" for a long table with numbered place settings so guests could go up to counter, order/pay & give seat # - the friendly, efficient staff brought everyone's delicious, hot food right away I brought table decorations, Santa hats/head gear, door prizes & goodie bags - it was a very fun time & easy way to host a party & I'm doing this again here soon Everyone said the food was tasty & the place was clean, nicely decorated & the staff was attentive - we highly recommend!

Steak and flank pho with side order of meatballs
Nancy N.

I ordered my food Togo from Ubereat and my first time experience was decent. I had higher expectations than what I got. I ordered the steak and flank pho, fried chicken rice, egg rolls, and a Thai tea. Let's start with the pho I was a little disappointed. The pho broth did not have an authentic beef smell. The steak cut was thick but I can tell you it was super tender. The chicken rice plate was good that's what my husband said but unfortunately it was not crispy at all. The egg rolls was good but it was over fried, mines was pretty brown brown. Lastly the Thai tea was the least fav, it did not have the Thai tea smell or taste. The tea was not sweet pretty much water down. Will I give this place another try? Yes I will

Short Ribs Rice Plate and #11. Pho Beef Ribs ...

Omg delicious ... excellent recipes to choose from and very good presentation. I tried 2 entrées just to rate them, and also have some extra food at work. I did the beef rib Phò and the short rib entrée. The Phò broth was excellent ... flavorful, delicate and fresh tasting. The short rib was grilled to perfection (not too raw, not overdone) ... with a nice veggie side and a salad. Great spot overall

Upon entering we were warmly greeted and seated with waters and menus. The staff was friendly. The environment is great, the ceiling lights to the tables and chairs are very aesthetic including the music. When we received our order the appetizers were a hit. The calamari is crispy and the spring roll was refreshing. Next for the soups the combo pho has a bit of everything and it was yummy. Bun bo hue is very delicious and spicy that made me like it more. The soup was delicious with the pork hocks. I would come back again! And when we left we received a warm good bye.

Perfect service and the food choices, quality and quantities is perfect too. Each dish was presented well, fresh ingredients and 3 Bros exceeded my expectations. I was in the area, and a Seattle media outlet raved about them. They have their own parking lot and parking in the neighborhood is plentiful. They are on transit. They do takeaway. Almost all of the seating is long, about 16 persons. I have had fine roasted duck soup at a very reasonable price in other reviews. Ducks are small, so a lot of bones. Duck is not cheap. This spot duck was mostly bone and gristle. There is Chinese cultural value in eating meat with bones, but I don't like bones. The skin is an essential in roast duck, but it had been soaked in broth and lost its flavor. I have had noodles at many places. This was wafer wheat noodles. You can look up their menu, it is not expensive, but it is not notably cheap. The Yelp menu photos were nothing like the current, a vinyl shield over paper book of several pages, so are outdated. Inside it was clean, dark, and the staff were fine. But it is a decaying chaos of piles and abandoned decoration inside and tagged outside. I strongly refrain from negative reviews of small businesses. When a major media outlet hypes a dive business, and when their readers are anti-customer reviews, I need to review when I visit. I have sympathy for the family, but I fear the business is not sustainable. Go there and support them! Tung Kee Mì Gia is a dive Vietnamese restaurant with Chinese influence, ample parking, and take out - in person, or order ahead, in White Center. I visited Thai Tom, another Stranger dive endorsement. Tung Kee Mì Gia should get a liquor license and become a hipster hangout to save their business. Maybe The Stranger can help them.

Upon arrival on the rainy day i was offered water or warm tea and opted for both. Nothing better than that combo for me. Ordered my usual... Pho with rare steak, tripe, tendon and added meatballs. Broth is flavorful, as with anything you make it how you want after the initial taste and i only add limes and chili oil with the added basil. Nothing else. Fun fact: sriracha and hoisin are meant to be on the side to dip in, not poor into the broth. Also what makes me come back here is the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. The added crispy crunch on the inside makes these next level with the dark Romaine and just enough noodles to not overwhelm them like other places. A little added tunes whether traditional or not would be great. Or maybe the sound from the TVs playing food videos from around Vietnam would be cool. The silence was actually a could change up with the air conditioning and sound from the kitchen cooking. Great experience and glad i finally got to come in here!

There were a few people picking up at the time we entered, but nobody else dining in. When one of the servers came with our cold waters, we placed our food order right away with her. We got two orders of the Pork Patty Spring Rolls, a Kids Meatball Pho, a Combination Pho, a Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl and a Vietnamese Pancake. After about 5 minutes, we got the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. Every single time we order them, they taste so good!!! Hits the spot whenever we visit this restaurant. Probably our favorite dish, actually. After we devoured the Spring Rolls, our entrees came out - Combination Pho and the Kids Meatball Pho. Then a few minutes later, the Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl came out. I normally like to pour some Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce into my Noodle Bowl along with the sauce it originally comes with. Mixing everything in all of that makes it that much more flavorful for me! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and the service. The Pho broth seemed a little bland and not seasoned as well as before. Other than that, all of the other food items were tasty and to our liking. The restaurant itself has ample amount of space to sit at since there are plenty of seating and tables available. Parking outside is good, there are plenty of spaces to park at as well. There used to be a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, but since that's gone, parking hasn't been an issue at all. They have pretty decent Vietnamese food for reasonable prices and adequate portions.
