    Spring Egg Rolls

We got there near closing and we did not feel rushed. We dined in. We did the fresh spring roll, lumpia and crab wonton and a small bowl of shrimp pho. Very tasty.

Vegan review: Local Vietnamese restaurant, overall, I give it a 7 out of 10. Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere, with good music playing. Food: I've ordered their Tofu banh mi, Veggie pho with veggie broth, and fried rolls with veggies. I definitely enjoyed the fried rolls and the banh mi, those are staples for me. The pho was delicious regarding flavour, 10/10 but the noodles were pre-cut and I wasn't the biggest fan of that. Nonetheless, that wouldn't stop me from ordering it again!! Drinks: The Sweet Tea(s) are out of this world!! Sooo delicious. The Lychee sweet tea is the perfect amount of sweet, and the passionfruit. It appears they use real fruit as well, making the flavour ten-times better.

First time there and not my last!!! Great pho! The flavor was just right! The portion size was great for my large pho. Egg rolls were fresh and good. Customer service was excellent. Really clean place. Thanks guys.

A good place to crab Vietnamese food if you're in the Des Moines. The food is good and isn't terribly over priced. The service could be a little slow at times.

Dirty restaurant with an angry combative owner, no thanks. Also, far more expensive than other better options in a short drive.

The menu is huge, with plenty of Greek, Jordanian, Turkish, Yemeni, and other classic Mediterranean entrees, sides, desserts, and drinks. I got the hummus mix, a chicken shawarma plate, and Karak tea. Everything was fantastic! The portions were huge so I have plenty of leftovers for future meals and snacks. The hummus was absolutely a standout, with delicious ratios of creamy chickpeas and tangy tahini, garlic, and fresh veggies on top. The Karak tea was a perfect balance of sweet and spiced flavors, absolutely a must try if you like chai or similar spiced coffees/teas. The shawarma plate had fresh veggies, even more hummus, and tons of chicken and rice. Everything was well cooked and delicious. The service was very fast, and the employee I talked to was so friendly! He gave me a free maple donut to snack on while I waited for my to-go order. It paired very nicely with the delicious Karak tea. Inside, the restaurant is very clean and home-y with nice decorations and lots of tables. I will 100% be back here! The menu is large with plenty of vegetarian options alongside the typical meat shawarma plates, gyros, and sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of donuts, sweets, and American food if someone in your group isn't a huge fan of Mediterranean. The parking lot is small and it can be easy to drive past the turn in, but don't skip it! I will be back!

It's not your standard Indian you find everywhere, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, etc. It has those but it has so much more! It's a large place and the service can be slow because of it, but it is well decorated almost upscale place that has a ridiculously good (albeit expensive) weekend buffet. A la carte midweek is also phenomenal. You won't feel like you are in India per se but your mouth might think you are. I just went there earlier this summer and there was a line to get in before…read morethey even opened, so I'd be surprised to find out why they'd close such a popular location. Anyways, my friends and I showed up before opening and managed to be first in line but the line quickly grew to about 7 or 8 parties within a couple minutes. They opened on time, but told us the buffet was not ready so they seated us and asked us all to wait at our tables until it was ready. Everyone who was seated would watch new parties enter, walk towards the buffet, be told it wasn't ready, and then go sit down; this continued for about 15 minutes and by the time the food was actually ready, it really became a show seeing people rush to line up to get plates and crowd the buffet tables. I think it would have been less chaotic and confusing if they had just kept us in line outside while asking us for patience as they were delayed in getting their buffet ready for the day. Then it could have been better traffic management at the buffet while they seat people entering the restaurant. The food, however, was good. There were a ton of options and the dishes were separated into various categories to keep vegetarian dishes together, chicken dishes together, etc. There were also good dessert and salad options, plus appetizers. Was it the best Indian food I've eaten? No. But It was the only Indian restaurant I've been to where I've had access to so many options and opportunity to try dishes I don't usually get to try at smaller buffets with more mainstream items like butter chicken, tikka masala, etc. Overall I'd give it a 3.5. Check it out if it's still open!

The dining area and bar was packed but found some spots and hob-nobbed with locals at the bar. Got a drink, oysters for wife and some shooters. The oysters in the shooter were as pictured, plump, tasty with some cocktail sauce - loved them. Was thinking of another round when found wife wasn't so happy with the sad dozen micro-oysters she was serviced. Somehow, I realized the second level resturant was serving better oysters similiar to what was being used in the oyster shooter and we relocated to top level of the resturant. What a difference, different menu, was a fine dining experience - just what we needed so stepped up to the next level. Another dozen oysters, a few more oyster shooters, another round of cocktails, watched the beautiful sunset, fantastic service from the staff, we were totally relaxed and amazingly happy. Definitely will be back and promised my wife 2-3 dozen oysters the next time.

The restaurant has beautiful views of the water and the marina. Service wasn't particularly warm, but efficient. We wanted to take advantage of the rhubarb seasonal desserts, so appreciated the suggestion to take home the desserts from the price fixe menu. We didn't care for the rhubarb cocktails (much too sweet) but they were taken away without any comment and removed from the final bill. My parents love the chowder, and enjoyed it. I didn't care for the consistency. The shrimp cocktail was a fun retro flavor. Crispy celery, creamy sauce, and the shrimp was cooked well. We all ordered the sole almondine and substituted roasted potatoes for the rice. The potatoes were good, as was the accompanying asparagus. The fish was breaded, and topped with ground almonds which were warmed in butter. The bottom piece of fish was unfortunately soggy, and I prefer an almondine sauce when it's made with sliced almonds. It was a little flat tasting. But overall, the dish was good. The desserts were average. The sugar crust on my father's creme brûlée was too thick and flamed a little too hard. The slump was tasty, but the ratio of filling ro cake was unbalanced (too much cake). The cheesecake was a good texture and the rhubarb sauce was nicely tangy. Overall, a mice evening and worth $35 for a 3-course meal.
