Service was excellent and really the main reason Paramount gets 4.5 stars.  I felt comfortable there.   We had some tweaks to our reservations and shout out to Sam who was happy to oblige and laugh at my five year old daughter's jokes.   We spent a lot of time in the lobby waiting around and Eric was always there to give my my daughter a high five on the way in or out.    They also offer an area for cars to pick up/drop off people .... so you don't have to park next to the curb on the street, put on your hazards and pray someone doesn't hit you. We could comfortably stretch out in our room (traditional King room)   I could hear people moving around but not enough to mess with my sleep.  Maybe I'm not the one to ask.  On the way home, I fell asleep on the plane near a crying baby (not mine).   I can sleep anywhere. A lot of the poor reviews on Yelp are about the valet parking.   We took Lyft and walked around a lot so we avoided that aspect of the hotel.  Valet parking is $45-$65 a night, so prepare yourself for that. No microwaves in the room ... prepare for that too.  Yep, still have single ply toilet paper. WiFi setup was a little annoying.  I had to login with password every time I turned on my device.   Pro tip:  Water is available for your reusable bottles in the fitness center. read more

Great rooms, staff, and location. Eric the valet was super nice! Thanks for making our brief stay in Seattle so lovely. We will be back.

I attempted to book this hotel. And I did. However, I went to the hotel's website and without any notice whatsoever they flipped me to a website, Reservations.Com. They do not have free cancellations. This is a SCAM. Do not book this hotel for this reason. I am stuck with this reservation and am boiling mad. Also, Reservations.Com will not allow changes until you're within 7 days of travel. This is BOGUS. read more

After 30 + years traveling I can easily say the Paramount is the worst hotel experience I have ever had . The manager could care less what you have paid for. He will blame it on booking.com (we didn't book through them). When you ask him to correct the booking to what you actually paid for he will literally kick you out of the property. I am not kidding. At 1:00 am after flying for 24 hours you will be walking throughout downtown Seattle trying to find a room after you already have paid for one. This is the level of service the Paramount offers. There are many many options in downtown Seattle. Save yourself a headache and avoid the Paramount. I have experienced better service at a Motel 6. I would highly recommend avoiding at all costs. Update: Fighting to get my money back. I never even stayed at this hotel. Now I have to file fraudulent charges on my credit card to even hope to get my $400 back. That's not counting my legal fees. All for a room that wasn't even what I paid for. They keep blaming booking.com (I have never used that site in my life). Stay away!! read more

We were off to enjoy a wonderful weekend in Seattle when Mother Nature had other plans. Mid flight to Seattle we were redirected to Oakland and were unable to make it back to Seattle. In fact due to the 15+" of snow caused 60k people to loose power , 100's of canceled flights and prompted the governor to declare a state of emergency. My wife and I contacted the non helpful service desk to ask about canceling our reservation. As they stumbled about them upholding their cancellation policy we asked to speak to their GM Kyle. As it appears he's been unable to make it in, apparently he's excused from his daily commute due to weather but those traveling across the country are held to a higher standard. Today is day 3 of us trying to speak to management there. I truly feel bad for the front desk as they are upholding an absurd policy with no management there to support them. I understand adhering to a strict cancellation policy to flaky patrons but absolutely all of this was out of our control. The customer service from paramount is more than enough for us to take our business elsewhere. Our airline graciously gave us vouchers for the inconvenience that we are planning on making it back to Seattle, but we will most definitely be staying somewhere else. read more

Myself and friends stayed at this hotel over the weekend and it great. The hotel staff was top tier( very hospitality & great with answering any questions). We reached out to the front desk for assistance and they came to the room right away. The room was very clean as well. They do have a lot of things in the area that are within walking distance which was great. read more

BEWARE. BE VERY AWARE. We were awakened this morning by the sound of loud hammering that seemed to be coming from the room next door or across the hall. Called down to the front desk and was told that renovations were being done to a nearby room and that the work would continue to the next day. I was extremely disappointed that no notification was provided at check in about this scheduled morning renovation work that would occur over multiple days during our stay. Needless to say we are NOT looking forward to the rest of our stay here. Very unsettling to be awakened unexpectedly by such loud noises. read more

Excellent hotel for the price and location! The Paramount is conveniently located to everything a tourist might want to see. Literally, in the middle of everything. You're about 3 blocks away from the Seattle Monorail, which takes you to the Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP Museum, and Chihuly Gardens). You're also walking distance away from the Downtown shopping area, Pike Place Market, Capitol Hill, and Pioneer Square. The hotel is not a huge hotel (not compared to the Hilton, Radisson, Marriott, etc.) but I actually liked it a lot because it's not that big. I didn't rent a car, only caught a taxi from the airport to the hotel, which was about a 25 minute ride. The hotel rates were also pretty good compared to the other hotels in the area. Service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and super friendly. As soon as we arrived, there was an older man that greeted us and gave us so many complimentary booklets on what to do, where to go, what to see, and where to eat. At first, I was skeptical about him, but then noticed that he was just being...friendly. The lobby was also cozy with some couches and a fireplace. The hallways were super quiet, the beds were super comfortable and the rooms (both spacious and clean) had a flat screen TV, coffee maker, small fridge, and free working WiFi!! Nothing better than working WiFi! They also have a small gym that you can use, free of charge. We did not have lunch or dinner at Dragonfish, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, but we did have breakfast there. The food was fine and reasonably priced. Overall, the Paramount is highly recommended if you're visiting the Seattle area. It's a great hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. read more

We stayed here while in Seattle on a multi-city vacation. I had never been to Seattle before and was excited that this hotel was close to most of the things we wanted to see. We left our car at the hotel for most of our 2 night stay, and either walked or took Uber. Everything was a short or long walking distance away. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive to any concerns we had. Our king room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side but was okay for only 2 nights. Wifi was free and adequate for our purposes. Parking was valet only and reasonable for a city hotel. There is a private lot across the street that is less money but I don't think there are in and out privileges. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the room service menu. The restaurant is Asian and the room service offerings were very limited, especially for those who are not adventurous food-wise. read more

Got a king room with a "city view". Found three pubes the first 30m of being in our room. One in the unused bath, one under the blanket and one on the bathroom wall. When we were sleeping in the next morning the housekeeper walked into our room. Good location, friendly staff but I feel like my room wasn't clean and my privacy wasn't respected. read more

As others have said, this is an excellent downtown location. It's close to shopping, food and within half a mile walking distance to pike place market. The day before we arrived, we received a text asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay more comfortable. Immediately upon arriving, they were super friendly and informative. The room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 4. Will definitely recommend and would stay here again! read more

We stayed for one night. The room was comfortable. However my disappointment was with room service. It took us quite a while to get our order in that morning. We actually never spoke with the restaurant and had to give our order to the front desk who was not knowledgeable about the menu. Once our order was delivered, it was not correct as a result. Otherwise it's an elegant hotel. read more

Horrible room experience. Booked on booking.com for a night in the city. Bunch of hidden fees and $53 to park overnight. That's crazy. $53 to park a car overnight??? Bed was horrible. Pillows even worse. Room was $129...ended up being $225 all said and done. Place is a joke. Food was absolutely terrible too. Ordered room service. Burger was disgusting and chicken tenders were dry and burnt. Definitely won't ever be coming back. read more

Very fun spot downtown. We showed up super late (11pm) and the staff was lively and ready to serve! Very fun vibes inside... great fireplace and awesome lobby. Room was very clean and the views were epic! read more

Awesome location. Close to eateries and near Pike Market. I really liked the shampoo dispenser instead of using multiple small bottles. The ice bags are nicer than an ice machine. The concierge was really sweet too. read more

I went to The Paramount and they charged me $58 to valet park my car (no self park option) and then they scratched my car and denied responsibility. The valet guy said they couldn't have scratched it because the hotels don't have white walls but the entire hotel and parking area is full of white walls. I would give this hotel a zero if that was an option. Very disappointing experience. If you go to The Paramount, at least don't park there. read more

Nice and cute hotel located on 8th Ave, which is a short walk to Pike Place Market and the other restaurants/shopping areas around Seattle downtown. The rooms are nice and clean but kinda small. The staff are nice. I'm not that picky with hotels as long as it's clean and doesn't have bugs. :) I'd stay here again. :) read more

Had 3 enjoyable nights in a very nice boutique hotel! Updated motif in rooms give them a fresher more modern feel & quality throughout room...fixtures, stone floor in bathroom, etc. Towels thick and plush, room service left room immaculate every day as requested. Room was very quiet and bed comfortable. Windows even open a little to get fresh air, although the air was fresh in the hotel. The icing on the cake is when I forgot my beard trimmer. I called the hotel and they said there is a place to enter lost & found details on their website. Lo and behold, 5 min after I completed the online form, they replied that they had found my item and would mail it as requested. This was 10 days after leaving the hotel. Only negative is that I was on the 10th floor, so I thought I might get a view. Unfortunately, it's just of the building across the street. Recommended read more

We had a work conference at the Seattle Convention Center, and the Paramount Hotel is *very* convenient to it - just literally a couple blocks away. It's boutique-y, cute, has great, lotion/shampoo/conditioner in the room (I love those kinds of things!), nice service, a good restaurant in the hotel (I had room service breakfast before heading to my conference each day and enjoyed it so much - great coffee!). And I loved that the hotel is so close to shopping (H&M within blocks!), restaurants (Cheesesteak Factory is around the corner, Ruth Chris steakhouse is across the street), coffee shops, Pike Market (5-6 blocks away) - great location!! And it was a quick cab ride to the Space Needle too where we had dinner one evening. It's clean, relatively quiet for being downtown, there's a gym, business center, newspaper in the morning, a cozy fireplace lobby with comfy chairs. If I were there for a conference again or wanted to hang out downtown during my stay, I would pick the Paramount again! read more

We had the pleasure of staying at the Paramount during our week long visit to Seattle this past week. We felt the room was well priced and in a central location that certainly made walkability in our trip a huge convenience. The room was clean and and well taken care of, the odd thing was getting a handicap accessible room (with two physically capable adults) it felt a bit uncomfortable because the arrangement of the vanity and shower. The location of the room was the second floor overlooking the busy back alley where the garbage truck came by at 4 am a few times, very annoying. The rooms are not soundproof unfortunately, we found ourselves hearing everything throughout the noise, including the showers of the above neighbor at weird hours of the night/day. Overall the staff was polite, helpful and accommodating; the room wasn't ideal and probably damped the experience for us more than anything. Probably could see ourselves returning here if we had to, but would want to try Capitol Hill or other surrounding areas to avoid the construction near the bridge that also made movement a bit difficult, but that is just being nit-picky. read more

Easily one of the best stays I've had in a hotel. Top notch customer service right when you enter the door and everyone is extremely nice and helpful. The room was great and they give you convenient times for cleaning. There are plenty of hand sanitizers around the hotel and it's close to everything in Seattle. When I comeback, I will definitely stay at this hotel! Nothing but a great experience! read more

I don't know what we did to deserve such an incredible experience!! The hotel we had booked was over sold and cancelled our reservation. I found this one last minute and while it was a higher priced hotel, the area was exactly what I wanted. We got in at 10am. We knew we wouldn't be able to check in, but we headed to the hotel anyway. Eric checked our bags, made arrangements for a car to the airport the next day and set a wake up call. We came back a couple of hours later and they just about had our room ready. Eric got our luggage and took us up to the penthouse. I didn't reserve the penthouse, but it was available and they upgraded us. The decor is modern, fresh and comfortable. This place is true luxury. I've stayed at a few high end hotels in Seattle and this one is hands down the winner!! Update: I had to add to my review once I crawled into bed. The linens were absolutely the finest quality. The bed was so comfortable that I did t want to leave. I preferred this hotel to The Fairmont, where I stayed the last time I was here!! read more

I stayed here one night during a Family trip to seattle in November and would stay here again. My only complaint would be the rude over the phone customer service from a lady at the front desk(i didn't get her name). I booked through Hotels.com mobile, so i wasn't able to see check in/deposit information. I called in a couple days before to inquire about the deposit amount, the lady who answered did not sound happy at all, and was very curt. I asked about the deposit, she answered my questions quickly and i said " perfect thank you", she replied back with " okay" , and HUNG UP. I honestly started searching for a new hotel because at that point, that's the only reflection i had of the hotel at that time, and it wasn't good. I decided to keep my reservation and I'm glad i did, the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and the check in process was quick and easy. The Hotel is about 8 easy walking blocks from pike market and very central to any shopping and places to eat. read more

The staff was very friendly & attentive since we walked in! We arrived on THANKSGIVING day and they handed us a list they had made of places around the area that were open to eat and gave us plenty of tips on how to get around. The hotel is REALLY close to pike place, it's within walking distance of many of Seattle's attractions! The only thing is, if you're renting a car (which we did) they don't have free parking so it was pretty pricey keeping the car at the hotel every night we stayed there. read more

The Paramount Hotel is a great boutique hotel in downtown Seattle. The location itself is fantastic. You're near the convention centre if you're there for a conference, a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market and the waterfront, close to shopping downtown, near the transit tunnel if you're going to a sporting event and just off the I5. The room itself was a decent size - not huge, but enough room for a couple of people to get around. Bed was comfy as well! The bathroom felt a bit dated, and the water pressure in the shower was fairly weak. Those really were the only negatives of our stay. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly! It's pretty standard now I feel, but always nice to get a text to see how your stay was going (in fact over four nights we got two). Overall, would recommend a stay here! read more

Very nice hotel and hotel rooms. Service staff are very pleasant and professional. Worst couches in the world though. There are more comfortable couches at IKEA. Kind of weird given how everything else in terms of furniture are comfortable. Also, worst breakfast restaurant. It's a dive bar turned into a sushi bar with a breakfast offering that is an afterthought and employees who are not morning people. Fortunately, the Daily Grille is a 5-10 minute walk. Other than the couches and bad restaurant, it's very nice. read more

The Paramount Hotel, Seattle, WA. Stayed: August 6-9 The Paramount Hotel is a lovely hotel located in downtown Seattle. The staff was professional and helpful; the room was very clean and a good size; the location was terrific; and there was plenty of secure parking both at the hotel and nearby. While the restaurant did not survive COVID - when we stayed there was not restaurant - there are lots of great restaurants nearby so it wasn't an issue. Without a doubt, we would absolutely stay here again and will recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. read more

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, and a nice central location. We stayed for 2 nights before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer Train trip. The staff are well-trained and know the drill (luggage, etc.). Have stayed here a few times. Prices were high over father's day weekend. Booked a 2 day stay to see a couple shows. Stayed in room 813. Tried to take a nap between shows for an hour. Very loud humming coming from mechanical equipment on roof outside window. Missed the nap because we needed to change rooms because of the noise. New room was much quieter but, coffee gear wasn't reset and bathtub drain was clogged. Small rooms, small bathroom for the price. I'd suggest that if you stay here, try to avoid the side of the building with room 813. Staff was completely accommodating, just wish we hadn't been put through a room change when we would have rather been asleep for a little bit. Depending on the situation, I'd probably stay here again, I'd just lower my expectations significantly. read more

Man its been a while since i stayed in an actual hotel. Being the OCD clean freak that i am, i try to avoid them at all costs. But, The Paramount...was definitely clean. Not like pristine clean, but enough to give me a certain level of comfort, and for $100+/night, i expect nothing less! Staff was friendly, especially the older gentleman down by the coffee in the lobby, who I think left at one point to go comb his hair! He was cool though and hooked up a few brochures for some local museums. Even up on the 7th floor, it was quite noisy at times. I mean, youre in a downtown area hotel, youre going to hear horns and sirens etc, but i could have done without the roadwork jackhammers! I was also mystified by the coffee and mug for sale in the room. I think the (small bag) of coffee was like $15 and the mug was like $7, but they have complimentary coffee in the lobby. This, is still a point of confusion for me. Overall, i probably would drop $100 to stay here another night. Both for convenience and for relative cleanliness. read more

The hotel was nice enough and not overpriced. My only issue was that they gave us a fifth through floor and our only view was a flat wall of the building next-door and the roof of another building. One thing I didn't like, though they had a parking garage in the building, they still charge you $50 a night even though you have a room. I wasn't crazy about that. I understand charging for parking, the $50 a day when you're staying in the hotel is a little out there. read more

This was our first trip to Seattle and we literally had no idea where to stay or which area to stay in. We decided to stay in the heart of downtown for convenience purposes, and it was definitely the right decision to make! We did not rent a car this trip, instead we chose to walk everywhere and this hotel was perfect for doing just that. It's location is close to everything. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff was amazing and very friendly, when they saw us come back from a days outing, they made sure to always ask us where we went for the day and what we ended up seeing. The room was comfortable, clean, no complaints or issues whatsoever. I only wish they had a Jacuzzi to soak in at the end of the day. Complimentary morning coffee and newspaper in the lobby and ice water in the afternoon & evenings are a very nice touch. Tips: if you plan on visiting different attractions, get the City Pass, it will save you money. We ended up seeing the space needle, the aquarium, the museum of pop culture, Chihuly Gardens, and took an Argosy cruise with this pass. We also went to the Skyview observatory, which was amazing. Pike's Market was an absolute blast an we went there every day. Places to have breakfast (and I believe I have reviewed these on Yelp so feel free to check them out): Biscuit Bitch (fun place), Glo's Diner, Bacco Cafe, and La Creperie Voila. Lunch/dinner: Assaggio Ristorante, The Fisherman's Restaurant, Brooklyn Steakhouse. Dessert: The Pie Bar. Pike's Market has a ton of great food there, we ate there often. read more
