This was my first time here and never stopped by to eat because it is always so busy! The parking lot crowded with five thousand cars is quite intimidating! Small, cute, local restaurant that services breakfast and lunch. My favorite is their loaded baked oatmeal. Talk about dessert for breakfast. Delicious, moist, baked oatmeal that is full of flavor (especially cinnamon), topped with frozen yogurt and fruit. The skillets were also a big hit for my family. It was a lot of food, even my son couldn't finish it--and he finishes almost everything. The dining room area is pretty small and the service was quick. The parking lot isn't really a lot. Everyone parked on the grass and some of the cars were blocked in, so other customers had to come out and move their cars. Based on the description, we found a breakfast place we could easily arrive and get breakfast (between 8AM-2PM). We saw that the parking lot was full, so the food must be good. For locals only. This place is tiiiiiiiny. We recently moved to the area and wanted to try all the small mom n pop places nearby.... parking is bizarre, which seems to be the fault of the customers, not necessarily the facility, there are no lines on the ground. The front door opens directly into the dining room, so if you get sat next to the door like we were, you will freeze to death when customers take their time entering and exiting. The menu, super disappointed to have found the only place in PA that doesn't serve sausage gravy and biscuits, or cream chipped beef. The pancakes were good and my husband got the meat lovers skillet which he said was really good. We were not impressed with the dinner options so I don't think we will be back to try that. It's a small, no-frills diner-style restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, they seem to specialize in skillets, which immediately look excellent. But in accordance with my craving, I ordered coffee and the Deluxe Pancake plate - 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links. It was more than enough and a great value for the price, but mostly importantly, it was delicious! Great pancakes, great eggs, and surprisingly, amazing bacon. Like, I know bacon is always good, but this bacon was extra good. The service was speedy, just what I needed since I didn't have too much time to spare, but attentive. Down home goodness you look for when in Lancaster. Nothing beats the home style feel of this restaurant. You don't have to worry how much you order, because no matter what you will leave full. Serving the dish in a skillet is always, in my opinion, genius. The food is sources locally and the service is always friendly and humble. I have never tried a baked oatmeal dish before, and I was amazed at how good it was. very well spiced and the frozen yogurt topping finishes it off perfectly. Hungry? You better be, when you come to the Pantry! Their food is solid and plentiful. This was our first food stop on an Amish country daytrip. I couldn't resist the temptation of the Loaded Country Signature Skillet. True to its name, it came out in a cute little skillet loaded with traditional American breakfast staples: scrambles eggs, home fries, ham...all slathered in cheese (cheddar, I think). The human factor is also worth mentioning. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Wow. There are only a few restaurants open at 6:00 am. I came to the Pantry Restaurant for breakfast at 6:00 am a few days ago so I could get breakfast before work. I got the Southwest Skillet and it was fantastic. After sampling a few other early breakfast places in Lancaster I decided to come back here and see if it was as good as l remembered it or just a one off. Again outstanding ! This isn't a diner by any means. It is one of those rare finds where the menu isn't a clone of every other restaurant. The menu is creative, affordable, and best of all delicious. Upon entering I was greeted and sat by a sweet old British gal who would remind you of your mum. (I think that is what the accent was...forgive me if I'm wrong :X) I tried their coffee and the special which was a baked potato breakfast skillet. The coffee was good and was refilled promptly. The baked potato breakfast came out on a wood cutting board and in a skillet. I personally liked the presentation and gave it a home cooked feel. There was a good balance of cheese, sour cream and bacon. The potato from start to finish was cooked, good job chef. :-D Nothing turns my stomach off more than when I get a raw/crunchy piece of hash brown or country potato. So overall good country breakfast spot which is cozy and off the beaten path a little. It feels like your almost visiting a Auntie for some home cooking. Most recently, I brought my family on a Sunday. It was the most busy I've ever seen it because I normally go during the week. The wait was very short, and the staff, as always, was friendly and accommodating. I ordered my favorite, the eggs florentine. As usual, it was scrumptious. My family members ordered the create your own skillet and the Greek omelette. They both left very satisfied with their meals. Croissant French toast was everything!! This was another Yelp find. I traveled through Lancaster with my family and we were craving breakfast but it was after 1. We got to the restaurant 30 minutes before closing and they still welcomed us! Everything was definitely above average. The scrapple was cooked perfectly. The Pantry serves breakfast all day, so we dropped in for eggs on a day trip to Amish country. Eggs Benedict was solid. Good poached eggs on ham, on an English muffin. Basic and tasty. The hollandaise sauce is more brightly coloured (yellow) than I'd expect -- I think they get it from somewhere else rather than making it themselves -- but it tastes fine. Home fries are fried to crispy on some edges, soft and nicely textured in the middle. Really comforting, solid food. Also tried a bit of the Loaded Country Skillet with ham and sausage, home fries, cheese. Tasty and looked like fun to eat -- not bad at all. Rice pudding was also good, very thick and dense with rice. Place was pretty busy but service was pleasant and helpful. Very reasonably priced. 3.5 stars read more

Breakfast here is pretty good. I had the country skillet and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Usually when restaurants serve large pieces of potatoes they are under cooked but not these. My partner got some pancakes that were delicious. The decor was something you'd expect out of a diner in the country. So why only 3 stars? The service was lacking. We had to wait along time to order and a very long time for the check. Actually, I had to go up and ask for the check and she just shouted $17.43 at me, I kept trying to hand someone my money but they acted like they didn't see me. The things I heard her saying we're just out of this world rude and the other waitstaff we're busting their asses to get through everything. Found this place on yelp while staying in the area. Really did not want to eat at Bob Evans, plus would rather support local and not chains when we can. Ate Saturday morning (10-10-2020) I had the Mexican skillet and my wife had the French toast sampler. I was a little worried when I hit something cold in my skillet but then realized it was that sour cream. My wife loved the cinnamon piece of French toast plus the others. The bacon was really tasty. The food was pretty good we went back on Sunday morning for more. The wait staff were great and super friendly. Helping each other out and pep talking the cooks.
