Food: the most diverse selection of pancakes and breakfast that you will find in Austin. They truly had pancakes from all around the world. Service: very prompt and professional! Ambiance: busy on the weekends in the morning

Great breakfast diner serving particularly tasty pancakes and bacon. Wait times on weekends can be long so I'd suggest arriving early. Leaving a review to provide a suggestion to the 3 pigs in a blanket dish. Each pancake wrapped sausage is a bit bland on its own and needs some more flavors inside. The following concoction fixed these complaints and was the tastiest bite of food at the table: 1. Unroll the pig in a blanket 2. Smear some butter inside 3. Break up the bacon and sprinkle it on 4. Pour some syrup onto this 5. Wrap the whole thing back up If you're worried about looking like a four year old playing with their food, rest assured the outcome is well worth it. 4/5 would visit again

If you are looking for a place with large servings, reasonable prices and delicious food this is your place. The wait can be long so I highly suggest you join the Yelp online waitlist. Once seated, service is unbelievably fast. If you plan on ordering the Dutch pancake it takes about 40 minutes to cook, so order this immediately once seated. You definitely won't be disappointed. The portions are large and shareable if you wanted to try a few things with multiple people. The berry crepe is extremely fresh and was more than enough for two people. If you are in the Austin area definitely check this place out. They have multiple locations as well.

Ok, I think this is my second review and I must say I think I've figured this place out. 1. As soon as you think about eating here, get on the wait list. This joint is quite popular on the weekends. 2. Expect to be blessed with their choices. 3. You will have the best servers, so treat (tip) them properly. We dined here on the Sunday before Christmas 2025 and it was busy, yet nice at the same time. They offer something for everyone, even "Gluten Free" options. Our serve was the best. I took this shot while he was running around refilling coffee and busing tables. As much as I hate to bring extra business, you have to try this place. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

It's not super often that a restaurant is worth the hype. But lemme tell you, this place is 1000% worth the hype. Staff is super friendly, servers are great, food is great - not like tons of butter fake make you sick kinda great, but like it's good real food and cooked beautifully and the value for what you get is fantastic. $35 for all this and it was enough to feed at least 5. You can't even get that kind of value with fast food!!! Super busy but they keep it clean. I am looking forward to my next trip to Austin to try something else on the menu. Corned beef hash was delicious, pancakes and French toast... chefs kiss! And those eggs fluffy somewhere between regular scrambled and soufflé. And I don't like eggs at all.

Grateful to have always lived near a location of The Original Pancake House - California, Illinois, and now Texas! This location is fantastic. Love that they have the Yelp waitlist option. We added our names to the waitlist before leaving home, and after checking in with the host upon arrival only had to wait for 5 minutes for a table! The wait is otherwise insane. After being seated in a cozy booth, we enjoyed hot coffees and perused the extensive menu. After much consideration, we decided to order the banana pancakes to share, along with a bacon and eggs combo. The bacon and eggs combo came with hashbrowns. The bacon was too chewy for my personal taste, and hash browns lacked salt/flavor. The eggs were cooked per our request just fine. The banana pancakes were the star of our breakfast. Served hot off the griddle, these pancakes were soft and fresh. They came topped with banana slices and were served with fresh butter + syrup. Absolutely delicious and IMO the best pancakes in town. 10/10.

First time I tried one of these was in Vegas and was really happy with it since I love pancakes. Yea this is a typical diner like ihop or dennys but their food tastes good unlike the other places. These are literally best pancakes you can get at a place like this. Really good. I got the original and son got Swedish. They even have lingonberry very impressed. If you are a pancake person this is the place to go.

one of the best pancakes i've tasted in my life! dishes we got: regular pancakes apple pancake combination plate (bacon, eggs, hash browns) the apple pancake is one of their specialties (takes 30 minutes to make), but i thought their regular plain pancakes were the best. nice little hack: they have a yelp waitlist, so i joined about an hour before i wanted to go and didn't have to wait in line there. they do require everyone in the party to arrive before getting seated.

Stopped by this place. Ordered the Farmers omelette, Pigs in a Blanket kids plate, and silver dollar pancakes. The omelette filled up the plate with a bed of hash brown underneath and ordered French Toast so fluffy. The service was great. Coffee was delicious for me. The kids loved their breakfast. The ambience is casual. This place gets packed. I recommend if you want an American hearty breakfast. Next time i will order the Dutch Baby pancakes. Looks enticing.

My friend's last meal before he moved out of Texas. Im very content with the food and the service. I don't eat a lot so im thankful they let me order from the Kid's/Junior Menu. On top of that, they substituted my pork sausage links for turkey sausage. Yay! Zero wait on a Wednesday morning. I'd recommend this place for anyone craving a hearty breakfast

I just realized I have not been here for a long time. I left my review back in 2019, and I was very surprised how everything has been changed. The service from the host area to wait staff was pleasant and very friendly. Food was good, pretty traditional and expected for a pancake place. We ordered Migas and couple of kids plates. Portions were good, solid I would say, bottomless regular coffee was a nice addition. The only thing is, staff should mention if something on menu would cost extra. That would help to avoid any confusion at the end. We got ham with kids menu, I wanted them to try, they did not want it. Ended up paying up charge of $3-4 at the end. Again, no big deal, but since no one ate eat I still had to pay, and knowing cost upfront I may not ordering it. In overall it was a very pleasant experience, I would definitely come back. Ambiance reminded me another broken egg, the only difference this place is much closer to me.

The food was OUTSTANDING! Service was a little rushed, I get it fast paced to get people in and out. But just a little customer service goes a long way too! Still would highly recommend this place!!!

Unfortunately, the kitchen just wasn't on their game this day. We went for brunch and it is a lovely restaurant with some amazing looking pastries. My ratings of the food we got are below. Overall, everything was just okay and not something I would order again. Our order: Salami and cheese - 1/10, not even edible with how much olive oil they dumped on it. Hard cheese and meat. None of us touched it. Frites - 9/10, hard to go wrong here. Nice and crispy French cruller - 7/10, I think this is just personal presence here I wished it was warmed up. Flavor was good but it was a little dry. Burger - 5/10, the flavor is there and definitely has potential but it was so bloody and rare which is not what we asked for. My friend has a gluten allergy and she asked for the burger lettuce wrapped and it just came on top of a huge chunk of iceberg so wouldn't recommend that if you want it lettuce wrapped. Chicken sandwich - 8/10, this was good with a nice crispy chicken. It could have used something sweet to balance the spice though it was a little one dimensional.

We were both starving and this place is open 24/7. I drove by it for 20 years on the way to Avenue Barber Shop. I wanted shredded beef tacos but couldn't get them without cilantro so I chose shredded beef enchiladas (with an $8!) side of chips and salsa. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. She requested soft eggs, as she always does because too many places overcook them. The chips and salsa arrived. I was immediately disappointed. The menu said "we make our own chips." They were thick and yellow and appeared to be run-of-the-mill, out-of-a-bag chips. I prefer the thin white ones. I took one bite of salsa, and that was one bite too many. Cumin. I pushed it all aside. Cumin doesn't belong in salsa. (Sorry. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.) My enchiladas came with black beans, and there was cumin in them. Cumin is overused and abused in most restaurants. I couldn't eat them. The rice was good but the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was not. I scraped most of the sauce off and ate one enchilada, mainly because I just needed something in my stomach. We were still 45 miles from home. I pushed my plate away. I also ordered coffee. One sip of that was all I could stand. Too weak for me. It gets worse, much worse. My wife's eggs were barely cooked. She asked the waiter for some cooked eggs. He took her plate and returned about four minutes later. The eggs were still not cooked. She tried another bite but couldn't eat them. Her bacon was tough as a boot and not chewable. The home fries were average, but by the time her plate arrived at our table for the second time, they were cold. I pulled my card out waiting for our excellent server to return. He asked how everything was (he had to notice two plates still covered with food) and we politely told him. I ate one enchilada and some rice. My wife had two bites of egg and two bites of potato. He apologized and handed me the check. $65. Nothing comped and nothing adjusted. A manager should've been summoned. How does a place like this have any customers? It was our first and last visit.
