The omelets are good but the place overall is nothing special. My omelet felt greasy and the coffee wasn't good. I wouldn't be back.

We ate there twice on vacation. Usually places in tourist towns with good reputations disappoint. However, the Omelette Factory was GREAT!!! The service on the second visit was suspect, but not enough to ruin a great breakfast. I had an omelette the first day, but the pancakes I got on the second day where beyond description. They were so good. Only the homemade strawberry jam and English muffins were close. I even bough two jars of jam to take home with me. The price was cheap for what you got. Just don't eat a midnight snack before you go!!! read more

Pros: Large menu with lots of choices Friendly wait staff Cons: Two hairs in our son's breakfast Cramped space, basement area Not super clean Food ok, not great by any means Definitely would not go back again Rude owner read more

WOW What a place!!! First off 40 omelettes on the menu is crazy. I had a western the first morning, and my wife had a standard breakfast. The wait staff was amazing. Donovan and Donette are the most genuine people and so friendly. They made my wife a special Jamaican breakfast our 2nd day in Maine. The french toast was so good, thick toast, cinnamon, and not too sweet. We can't wait to go back and see everyone and have a great breakfast!!! read more

This is one of those places where judging from the outside, you're not too excited to go in, but you do anyway and you're not disappointed with the result. Cute little shack-like restaurant sort of on the outskirts of the busy area of town. The first time I came here it was really busy (good sign) and I just watched in aww as the chefs cracked the eggs so fast, it was crazy. I came here again at a quieter time. Even though there was hardly anyone in the place, my friend and I were seated in the back area by ourselves which is nice. So many times you go to restaurants and they seat you on top of each other because its easier for them. It was also good we were in the back because some of their staff is ahem, a little loud and brash when "talking" and it was pretty roudy in the front (especially for only having a few guests!) But I digress. Their food is awesome and they give you huge portion sizes. Perfect place to go if you're going outlet shopping that day - you can fill up at breakfast and skip lunch. read more

Delicious, filling breakfast before a day of surfing. Try any omelette with the homemade sweetbread, you can't go wrong. Lovely service too!

Great place for breakfast if you visit the Ogunquit area. Great Omelets and the variety is tremendous! You need to get there early to avoid a waiting line and seating is a bit cramped. read more

Love this place!! Food is great and so is the staff!! Small and cozy as well. No reason to go anywhere else for breakfast while in this area! read more

This place is really a hole in the wall. It's kinda tight in there, but you'll get a seat. The food was decent and good proportions. Not singling this place out, but everywhere I went in Ogunquit, they didn't have Splenda. Not sure what that was about. read more

The best omelette I have ever had along with a piece of incredibly awesome home-made sweet bread and an English muffin.

This place blows our minds every time we visit! Delicious coffee and baked goods! And the omelettes? WOW!!! The New England omelette is my favorite! And if it's not all gone? Get a jar of blueberry freezer jam to take home read more

Glad we found The Omelette Factory our first day! Skipped the hotels included breakfast and had ridiculously good omelettes every morning for the 3 mornings we were there! Couldn't eat again until dinner every day! Stuffed. Friendliest chef, waitresses and owner. Loved it so much my gf bought me a shirt to take home to tide me over until the next time we visit! I can still taste the homemade strawberry jam! read more

This restaurant is amazing! One of the most delicious breakfasts I've ever had. The prices are great, and the food is just phenomenal. I got the burrito omelette, and my boyfriend got the corned beef hash omelette. He doesn't normally like omelettes, but both of us finished the entire thing, and they are huge! Everything is fresh and presented beautifully. Parking can be tricky, and there may be a wait, but it is worth it! read more

The menu lists any kind of omelette that you can want. The waitress was attentive even as busy as she was. My only issue was the small cup for coffee. read more

Tiny hidden breakfast spot. You have to wait outside which for us was okay because it was a beautiful morning. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait but was hardly even 10. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was yummy and came out super quick. Servers stay on top of coffee refills. Great little find! read more

Very very small and crowded. Uncomfortable chairs. Excellent omlettes and french toast huge. Home made blueberry muffins could have been heated or toasted but tasty. read more

Always good. Service too. One of us will usually have an omelette and the other either waffles or pancakes or something so we can share. Definitely worth it. And the lemon poppyseed cake is delicious. As are the blueberry muffins! read more

Fabulously creative selection of omelettes, plus really awesome pancakes and other usual breakfast items. Really enjoyed the vegetables julienne omelette. Service and prices also awesome. read more

We went there the second week of August 2012. The service and food were good. However we thought the omelette was a little greasy. The wait time on a Saturday morning was about 15-20 min around 10 AM. read more

Very good omelette, not good coffee. Also, when paying the bill, the man at the register shorted me $10. I hope it was an honest mistake.

Delicious omelettes with about 40 different filling options. Staff was amazingly friendly and super funny, adding to the great vibe of this place! Would highly recommend read more

Menu is limited to omelets but they are all great! Homemade sweet breads were excellent.

Went on a last second decision and glad we did. Yes the place is small but the service, staff and food were very good. I got the eggs, ham, beans, toast etc. I really enjoyed But I wish I would have gone with the omelette as my girlfriend did and she said it was amazing. I would definitely go back. read more

We were on a vacation trip and our hotel was very close to this place. We saw the reviews online and thought we would check it out the next morning. We are so glad that we did. I got the Three Slice French Toast w/ corn beef hash and my partner got the Jubilee Omelette. French Toast: You could smell the Cinnamon coming from the toast right off the back. and see that the egg wash mix they used was well applied. The flavor was amazing and the syrup just complemented it even more and didn't take away from the flavor. Corn Beef Hash: for all you true corn beef lovers, I am sorry but this corn beef hash was amazing but then found out it was from a can, still the best hash I've ever had. Jubilee Omelette: Its just like the veggie omelette but with more veggies, my partner had them had squash, the omelette came out and it was so fluffy and just looked amazing. Cheese was kind of pouring out, and some veggies were sticking out. It has so much flavor, and the veggies were cooked down just right. They weren't over cooked nor mushy, however they still had a little firmness to them and it all worked together. It also came with a sweet bread, which kind of just reminded me of a pound cake with corn bread flavor. It also had a half english muffin, which was buttered up beyond belief but tasted amazing because it was toasted. When you walk in the place looks really small, but they have two rooms, so its not as small as it looks but not a big place. The front room was a little dark, and the back room was nicely light up because it had a lot of windows and just felt homey. Our service was nice and was very great with suggestions, which is why my partner switch from the veggie omelette to the Jubilee. We both are defiantly going to go back and experience this diner again. If you are staying more central in town the trolley stops really close to the place so you can take it up and down back into town. read more

My partner and I visited Ogunquit in mid-September and the Omelette Factory was a short distance from our cottage. We were very glad to find it. We went late to avoid the crowds and could not have been happier with the food and atmosphere. We went on 5 of our 7 days there. My partner had the #20 and ordered that one each day; I tried something different each day and was rewarded with something delicious each time. He claims never to have had such a delicious omelette; and I was just plain relieved to know that I was going to get something good each day. Your grandmother could not have given you better French Toast. On two of those days we brought two of our friends and they were delighted. Our waitress each day is a lovely woman who could be considered the archetype waitress: fast service, fast-tounged, and fast mind, all with a great sense of humor. The owners were warm and welcoming. You can see the chefs making the food and they have the magic touch. read more

Hadn't been back to the Omelette Factory for a few years even though we go to Ogunquit every year. ...the family doesn't do breakfast, ugh. Got them to go back this week on the last day of vacation. After several $100-$150 meals each day, the best meal I had all week was my Lobster Benedict. Every bite was amazing. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaisse didn't overpower the taste of the lobster. I mmmm'd my way around for an hour afterwards. I will fight my travel companions if we don't go there the next time we are in town. read more

Home of the BEST omelette in Ogt! They have a variety of choices or made to order. My 11 yr old loves the French toast and bacon. Get there early & enjoy! read more

Can't say enough about this place. It was truly one of the highlights of our honeymoon! We ate there three of our five mornings (the other two we were way up in Booth Bay or we would've been back! Loved sitting at the bar to watch Bobby work his magic in the kitchen. All of the staff is great. Thank you! read more

Crazy good breakfast joint. I'm not typically a breakfast eater but came here for an omelette, of course. Fast service, super fluffy eggs, delish fillings. Small space with big clientele spells a bit of a wait outside occasionally, but don't sweat it. Wait it out, you'll love it read more

Delicious jam. Best omelette I've ever had. Friendly staff. Too many tourists but other than that it was one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. read more

This lovely quaint little place is actually between a 4 and a 5. The staff is friendly and their customers even friendlier. I ended up meeting two families as I was waiting for the food. The omelette was superb even though it was simply cheese and sausage. The bathroom...a little scary with their bizarre wallpaper but who actually rates a bathroom? read more

Little cozy breakfast place with a huge menu, from omelette, pancakes, muffins, waffles, French toast....Good coffee, great food, fast service, decent price. Enjoyed watching those two guys making the food while eating my breakfast. Everything looks so good! read more

If I could eat here everyday, I would! The omelettes are huge and stuffed with goodness. The hashbrown potatoes are perfectly cooked and the French toast was absolutely divine! read more

My husband and five year old daughter went there today based on reviews. I purposely wanted to get there before 1 pm as they close at 2. So we arrive at 12:45 and are greeted with scowls from the cook, and that "oh great more people to serve" from the host and the waitress. It was as if we had walked in just before closing. Then we are told the grill was shut off so no French toast etc. My daughter had come for the French toast and said, "where did my French toast go?". Based on her cuteness they said they would cook the French toast in a pan. So that was nice, but why shut of the grill at 12:45? So they bring our eggs and clearly burnt toast. That was what really ticked me off, it was black. And they didn't bring the side of bacon. When we went to pay I said there was no side of bacon which he just crossed off the bill and rang it up. No apology just "get out of here already". So we leave feeling bad. Is good food worth that? And we're nice people, no complaints about the toast and a 20% tip. read more

Flew in from Baltimore and went straight to the Omelette Factory early on a summer saturday morning. This place has incredible breakfast options (I had a western omelette). I love the hometown feel of this joint even with the Maine accents LOBSTA! Boy I could go for some right now. Ill be sure to return to the omelette factory on my next visit to Ogunquit. read more

We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but that's understandable because the place is small & popular. It's kind of quaint so it might not be to everyone's taste, but we liked it. The omelettes are large and my husband said it was good. I just had a bacon and egg sandwich and it was very tasty. The service is quick and our server was very pleasant and funny. It seems like there were a lot of regulars there, always a sign of a good place! read more

My friend and I just ate there yesterday. We custom ordered our omelettes which meant we got to choose 5 different ingredients. Our omelettes were absolutely scrumptious. Our omelettes were fluffy, big, and best of all they weren't greasy. Kudos to the cook, Bobby! We did not have to wait; we arrived at around 11:00 AM. Service was pretty good; both the owner and waitress checked in on us. We are heading there again today before we return home. read more

Really friendly staff (all of them) and great food. The outside of the place is very unassuming but it turned out to be a great hidden gem. My wife and I came to Maine on our honeymoon and didn't really know what was in the area. They were all going above and beyond trying to help us find our bank. We liked it so much we went back the next day. The omelettes were packed with our chosen fillings and the egg was fluffy as can be. They were served with homemade sweet breads and homemade jam. If we ever make it back up this way we will definitely have to stop here again. If you guys are reading this, thank you. You guys are awesome. read more

EXCELLENT!!! Tiny basement restaurant that used all the space efficiently. Cute, clean, lots of windows, very nice service and GREAT HUGE omelettes. great price! Highly recommended. read more

Omelette Factory is the best breakfast in Ogunquit. I have been going for several years. They have lots of different tasty offerings, but the omelettes are large, fluffy and delicious. The one that is called the selfie, one of 43 omelette choices, allows you to pick any five fillings besides steak and lobster. The food is phenomenal and the service is always quick. The staff is nice too. I strongly recommend The Omelette Factory. read more
