Good Stuff. Great menu and daily specials. Chicken fried chicken and sweet potato fries were great, but my friend's chicken and BACON waffles were amazing. They came with a spicy maple syrup (or plain if you're not into spicy). They offer Brown Gravy, Cream Gravy or a Jalapeno Gravy on their chicken fried steak or pork chops or chicken. Burgers looked pretty awesome too. We will be back to try something else soon. read more

There are so many amazing things about this place. First, the food. Everything I've had here is super rich and flavorful. Second, the service is helpful and friendly. This is a pretty solid restaurant. We went during happy hour and got great prices on beer and wine. I got the Shrimp and Grits and my friend got the Chicken Fried Chicken with Jalepeno Gravy. The food was amazing and the portion size is great. I had enough to take home to have a small lunch the next day. The Gouda Grits were probably some of the best I've had. I have been to Omega grill several times. Today I had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It was very good. We ordered chocolate cake for dessert and I was disappointed. It wasn't anything special and it tasted like something you get from the grocery store freezer section. Gonna try the carrot cake next time. read more

I had the chop it salad and a cup of the French onion soup. Both were very good! The portion sizes are huge! Had I known this, I would not have ordered both. I could not finish my meal. I will definitely come here again to try other items on the menu. I think the prices for the portions you receive are great! They also have a couple of 8th Wonder brews (Intellectuale and Alternate Universe), which is one of my favorite Houston brewery's. So they should get an extra star for that. Excellent Menu selection. The space has been completely renovated and looks amazing. Modern yet cozy. I had the shrimp and smoked Gouda grits, which were amazing . The shrimp were perfectly cooked. I travel to the Spring / The Woodlands area several times a year. Had back to back trips and wanted to try some new places. I came to The Omega Grill based on the location and more importantly, the rating and variety on the menu. I got the Queso and Chips, the Chicago hot dog, and onion rings along with a drink. I got seated right away ahead of a wave of other folks which is a good sign. Drinks were topped off without asking, always a plus. The dip was really good and I kept going back through the end of the meal. Chips were freshly made in house and also good. They could have used a quick shot of salt when they came out, but no loss here. The dog was solid and all of the ingredients were fresh and nicely proportioned, which did not leave it a mess, which it easily could have turned into in the interest of some culinary delusion. Again, nicely appointed and handled. My only complaint, if you can call it that, was the onion rings. I can't put a finger on it and maybe I was just jaded by seeing beer battered rings at a previous meal at another place and that is just what I had my mind set on. These came out breaded and a little on the cool side. They were comparable to Sonic maybe in quality. Others may feel different. I received excellent service. We had dinner last night at the Omega Grill, the food was Excellent! Everything tasted Fresh from the Onion Rings Appetizer, to my Chicken Fried Chicken Dinner. It all seemed to taste like it was made from Scratch. We were taking bets weather the Texas size bread was baked on the premises or not. Awesome hidden gem. I had the chicken pot pie and it was one of the best I have ever had. The garden salad that came with it was huge for a side salad. I ordered the Italian cream cake for dessert and it was really good. This place is really about a 3.5....I just rounded up. The strip this place is in doesn't really do the look of the place justice at all. The place is beautiful. I ordered one of their specials that was a bacon waffle burger. I was sad to notice there wasn't any kind of secret sauce on my burger.... aside from that there was no bacon nor bacon flavor to be found. My waffle also tasted kind of generic. The meat patty itself was tasty and the overall portion size was massive. I also would have preferred seasoned fries or something more unique. This place would have been a 5 if I could have tasted the bacon and if I had some kind of sauce. Went for lunch today and had the French dip sandwich, absolutely delicious! Small, clean restaurant. Menu has a variety of items to select. Bathroom is only one stall so you have to wait out in hall until person inside finishes. It was a little too sweet for my taste. Bay leaves and thyme stems were left in the soup so that was a little unappetizing. My sons burger was good. The service was really good. Fried Pork Chops, onion rings, kids meatball sub, cheese dip were C+~B. Shrimp and grits, poblano corn chowder were B+~A. Personally I wouldn't recommend it to family and friends until I give it a second try. It must have been a bad day at the Omega this Saturday afternoon. It took over an hour to get our food. When it did arrive it was obvious that the waitress had forgot to put out order in or the cook was incompetent. My burger was was seated on the outside but completely raw in the inside. When I. complained, one of the employees maybe the manager was dumb enough to ask me if I had ordered the burger at a certain temperature. I told him I had not but a reasonable expectation would be that the meat is as least somewhat cooked. Most likely every won't be back at least for awhile. read more

I'm giving four stars because it is family owned and I support that, our waiter was nice, happy hour wine was only 2.00 and my hot dog was pretty delicious. We came on a Monday around 5:15 and there was probably three tables total. We ordered the onion rings. There were four onion rings for 4.00. So I guess that's a 1.00 per onion ring?!? They weren't huge or anything so I was a little confused by that. I got the fork and knife hot dog! It was delicious!! My boyfriend got the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy.
