We were immediately seated, but unfortunately, it was a by a very large party, so we found it difficult to talk to each most of the night. We tried the following: - Pacific Octopus: OK. The octopus was a bit chewy, which means it was probably overcooked. I found the addition of the lamb merguez, although tasted fine, a bit confusing. I felt the dish had too many ingredients, and it muddled the flavours. - Beef Tagliatelle: OK. Well cooked, but didn't really like the five spice or the sweetness of the dish. - Smoke Pork Chop: OK. The pork was a bit overcooked, and the jus was far too salty. Service was satisfactory. We had no issues. Overall, it wasn't great. Maybe my expectations were too high. I often find hidden gems during my travels, and was hoping this would be one of them, but it wasn't. I appreciate the effort in designing their dishes, but I generally felt they were too complicated and too salty overall.

On the first call, a young man took the booking, confirmed the patio request, and then asked for my credit card over the phone for the 30 dollar no show fee. I declined and asked that he email me so I could provide it securely. No email arrived. I called again and spoke with a woman who assured me everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was told a patio reservation was impossible because they "do not do that." Fair enough, except the patio had an open table for eight. When I asked if we could take it, I was told it was reserved for a walk in. In the three hours we were there, that table remained untouched. Either the walk in was exceptionally punctual in not arriving, or the explanation was simply convenient. Now to the food, which unfortunately did not redeem the plot. Every steak ordered at our table was overcooked, and service pacing was inconsistent. Dishes arrived in scattered intervals, with one meal landing after the rest of the table had already finished. Even on a busy night, timing is part of hospitality, not an optional add on. I can forgive a kitchen having an off moment. What was harder to overlook was the lack of professionalism on the floor. A server's skirt repeatedly rode up to the point that her buttocks were visibly exposed while bending and leaning, including directly outside the glass beside our table. My niece, seated by the window, turned toward a noise and was met with an image no family dining experience should include. My sister discreetly and politely notified our waitress, as one would hope someone would do for them. The issue continued multiple times afterward. There was no manager on duty. We were given the owner's number, and I left a voicemail. If I receive a response, I will gladly update this review. As it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Between the reservation contradictions, overcooked steaks, erratic pacing, and a front of house standard that fell well below basic expectations, the experience missed the mark in ways that were both avoidable and unnecessary.

They lost a star as I noticed it was made early and sat under a warmer. When I got it it was warm, not hot. I was asked if I wanted rice with it and I said no. Same order from another person but wanted rice but came with lettuce instead. The beef dip was good and in fact there were no complaints from anyone. I know it is a policy in most restaurants that all the meals are to be brought to the table at once. The cooks should have better timing so all food is hot when served. He brings the drinks and there is no head on the Guinness, there is none of that carbonation in the beer. So he takes our food order and my husband comments on beer and the server said that the beer was poured correctly. That they poured half let it sit then poured the rest. My husband said ok but there is no head? And they replied well I don't know it was poured correctly and left. Ok not overly impressed but I've eaten the food. It's my cheat night. I have a pulled pork sandwich with Caesar salad. The table next to us gets their food. The one woman at the table picks at her fries and is commenting how bad the sandwich is. The wellington came with a béarnaise sauce and demi-glace, and they were fantastic condiments to help compliment the entrée. The wellington itself was great; it was cooked medium-rare, which was recommended by the waitress Danielle, the beef steak was juicy and delectable while the pastry part stands out with its mushroom aioli in flavour. The service was excellent, and I commend their positive efforts. The interior of the restaurant is traditional, yet very classy and mildly lit, which I like in a restaurant. Overall, the Bavaria restaurant is an outstanding establishment with that is very much worth your interest. I hope to come back there very soon.

It took longer than usual for our meal and when my potato crusted cod was cold I mentioned it but told her not to worry I'd still eat it.
