Extremely disaffected and disappointed by this establishment. Decided to pop by for lunch at 12:45pm on a Saturday afternoon. Ample free parking in the parkade. For a group of six, we were seated promptly and our server got us water as well. The experience went downhill after we ordered. We waited over an hour for our food to be served after ordering and to me, this was completely unacceptable because the restaurant wasn't full and we were just ordering burgers and sandwiches. Onto the food - perhaps a 2/5. The ahi tuna sandwich ($17) was fine. There was not a lot of tuna in it and it was quite saucy but I was starving at this point. It came with a side and chose the Caesar salad. It was almost inedible because of way too much dressing. But one of the worst part of the meal while eating was the flies! Oh god, they're everywhere and we were unable to even enjoy our meal without swatting every minute. The worst part after eating was getting our bills. Our server was either no where to be found or was completely ignoring our table. We tried to flag her multiple times and she seemed to purposefully take another route to avoid us. After waiting another half hour we decided to flag another host to call our server over. We were completely disappointed by the poor customer service. Hostess & server had attitude. Prices were high, no water offered. Had a wait to finally get some. Bartenders mystery drink for Happy Hour tasted Awful - I couldn't even choke it down. Food is excellent. Try the hummus taco sharing plates as well as the tuna poke bowl. These two plates were delicious and tasty. Also if you are into seafood, the shrimp and crab cocktail plate is also well prepared. Services was friendly and caring. Plenty of water refill without asking. Ambiance is cosy and quiet. Only annoyance issue is with the bumble bees. Too many of them. Don't like bees, stay inside. read more

Been here a few times and it's a solid choice, the food is usually good quality. Went for weekend brunch on a nice day, waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. BELCH burger was quite good, a solid 9/10. Potatoes were too well cooked to be edible. read more

Great Caesar's, with a great location! We had a birthday party at Lakeside and it was a good event. Sadly though the service wasn't what it usually was. I'm assuming it had to do with the part size, but things too a long time to get to us. But sadly the most disappointing part of my evening was my meal. Being a pescatarian who's lactose intolerant sometimes makes finding a meal a little tricky. But I was happy to see fish and chips on the menu, but not happy when it got to the table. The fish was very very dark, it was oily and almost looked burnt. All of the food appeared that was deep fried appeared to be dark. The fish was mostly batter which was a disappointment, and the batter on the outside had too much of an oil taste to enjoy. I would go back, but not for the fish and chips! read more

Ah yes, the infamous cultus lakeside beach club. Truly a 'must visit' if ever there was one, great food presented like a price of art. I got the mother clucker when I last visited and other than the y fries having a weird dressing on them, it was a lovely main. Our waitress was very kind and respectful. For a desert I got the ice cream sandwich, a nine dollar dish, presented like a million was put into it. Other than the music being about loud and the place Bringen absolutely packed, it was a nice meal. Five out of five will visit again. read more

We came in around 2pm, the restaurant was almost empty, we were told it would be a wait and they took our name. When I asked why we would have to wait when there were plenty of available seats I was told it was because they were understaffed and to pace themselves ??? I eat out a lot in many different cities and countries and I have never been waitlisted at an empty restaurant. We walked out and will never be back. read more

When in today at 6:00 pm at 6:17 when our drink order hadn't even been taken yet we walked out , several waitresses walked pass us but wouldn't make eye contact and I guess couldn't hear me when I tried to get their attention !?! Went to the restaurant with my family. Our meals were excellent. The hamburgers were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The chicken sandwiches were also cooked perfectly. Would definitely comeback to this restaurant again when I'm back in Canada. read more

The food and service were great at the Lakeside Beach Club restaurant! This place is right by the Cultus Lake and the neighboring amusement parks, so it's a great option for a quick lunch before you hit the lake or a nice dinner after a day on the beach. Awful place. This is my first time ever leaving a review. But I wanted to save another family from going here. I've been here twice, once 5 years ago and once yesterday. Both times were awful. Takes an hour (literally) to get your food once you order, the drinks are awful and so overpriced. They charged me $17 for one drink. A watermelon mojoto. Please do not waste your time. The service was wonderful. The waitress even invited us to stay longer after we paid our bill to enjoy the live music. I went with three others. Their meals all looked spectacular. I chose the watermelon quinoa salad, which was disappointing. It was mostly greens, with some quinoa, 6 pieces of watermelon, and a few other things. I had anticipated quinoa to be the bulk of the salad. I'll try something else next time as I'll definitely go back. read more

Excellent service. Amazing food. We had the garden salad, ribs with a hot potato salad, and our kids had a burger, and chicken strips from the kids menu (the French fries were killer). First off, our server was absolutely delightful and the location is excellent after a full day at the slides and adventure park - so that is the one star. As we were waiting for a table, a man exited the restaurant ranting the food was disgusting while imploring us not to eat there. We had kids in tow and it was late so we continued with our plans to dine at the beach club. The food was expensive and mediocre at best. Dry burger, bland chicken wings and sub par steak taco - cold with not a lot of flavour. While we were eating, the table next to us sent their taco back! I am not a prude... but are blow job shooters in martini glasses filled with whip cream served in a lap appropriate in a restaurant that is described on their website as "family-friendly"? Two different parties in the resaurant ordered the "drink". It made myself and the three young teens in our party rather uncomfortable. Unfortunately we arrived at 9 PM when they had a live band. There were just 3 of us and we were very, very hungry as we had not had dinner. There was a sign that said "seat yourself" and two young girls at the front who appeared to be hostesses. They told us that we might get a table in 15 minutes. They said they were full and couldn't guarantee anything because people had been there since 7 PM and weren't leaving. They said that the kitchen could take orders in 15 minutes. So, after 15 minutes we asked if we could order take-out. Then they said they weren't sure because the kitchen was busy but made no effort to walk the 10 feet to the kitchen to ask. We had to ask them to find out. One did so reluctantly and said that we could order take-out. When I asked if she could make sure the $24 salmon with veggies and potatoes was dairy-free because of a lactose allergy I was told that the kitchen was too busy to make "substitutions". So here are my suggestions to management: If you have two hostesses with a sign that says "seat yourself" make sure they are able, willing and trained to answer questions. Have a policy on accommodating food allergies. Do you or don't you? If you do, make sure that there is a way to let the kitchen staff know and make sure the kitchen staff is able to accommodate them. If you are not willing or able to accommodate an allergy, don't charge $24 for a plate of farmed salmon. read more

This was our first visit to Lakeside Beach Club. We sat on the patio, and it was wonderful. I can't wait to dine outside with the strands of patio lights on. The atmosphere was just what I thought a lakeside restaurant is, awesome music playing outside, comfy chairs, and clean. We were there for a Wing Wednesday special, and they did not disappoint. We had the bbq and the thai ones, delicious, we could have eaten for hours we loved them so much! We than split an order of fish and chips. Ok, these fish and chips were the best we have ever had. We were told that the fresh fish comes in every three days. The batter, out of this world, and cut there french fries!! All dressings, dips etc are made there right on the premises. Their herb plants are on the patio that they use for their dishes. Tonite we had Granville Island beer and yummy watermelon mojitos. I just want to tell everyone to go here! The service, out of this world, very attentive staff! We will be returning next week! And cannot wait to go to one of their specialty nights. I can't forget the dessert, mason jar strawberry cheesecake. To die for!!!!!!! Please go try, you won't be disappointed!!! read more
