Bow & Stern is an elegant-looking restaurant with great food and service. I had their Salmon Cake Entrée, and I thought everything was delicious. It came with a green salad with vinegar dressing that was good, seasoned buttered vegetables that tasted better than expected and pretty piquant mashed potatoes. The salmon cakes were pretty good on its own, even when paired with the cocktail and tzatziki sauce that came with it. I also had their Oyster Shot, which was interesting to say the least. I did have their raw oysters during the Happy Hour period, and they were pretty good for an appetizer. I had their Chicken & Waffles from their brunch menu, and it was overall enjoyable. The coffee there was acceptable, although it is a little costly. I adore the nautical-theme design of the restaurant while still maintaining sophisticated charm to it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves seafood.

Super cool vibe. Love the layout of the restaurant. Service was average, not bad not great... Didn't add to or take away from the meal to put that way. We ordered a bunch of different things for our table and really enjoyed the fresh oysters. The cod and chips were nice and crunchy! Bummer - the sushi rolls were poorly wrapped, obviously not from a sushi chef, but the flavor was great. But I will say that the salmon gravelax was pretty fantastic.

Shrimp ceviche...eh it was ok. Little Avocado and shrimp. Minimal flavor.

After Covid, prices increased 30 - 50% it seems while the quality and flavor went down. I understand they need to make a profit, but quality and taste shouldn't be compromised. Maybe downsize the menu? No amount of lemon/ lime and salt corps save the ceviche and tortillas. Fyi, their bread and butter are so good! But you will be charged. Service was ok.

Popped in to this great little eatery in Abbotsford for lunch today! The service was both friendly and efficient. The ambiance is clean, and super pleasing to the eye. Has a rustic, cozy vibe while still being bring and clean. It was a lovely place to warm up on a chilly afternoon. It's in a great area, close to all the great shops and cafes that Abbotsford has to offer. Fits in well with the surrounding businesses. Menu is seafood forward but many items that cater to the non seafood lovers like myself! ‍ Most tables around me were ordering their fish and chips and they looked yummy! Drink menu had some great cocktails! Happy Hour daily 2-5pm Would gladly come again when in the area!

We stopped in for dinner on a busy Friday night around 8pm and we're so glad to be seated without a big delay. They greeted us at the door, and checked out bc passports and then once seated we were greeted by our waitress promptly. The restaurant was a little loud but they were quiet full and it was a Friday night. If you're intending for a romantic dinner I might suggest you go on a less busy night. But overall the ascetic is fun, welcoming and modern. The ordered both the fish tacos and Cajun chicken tacos. They orders come with 2 large tacos and a side of fries. You're able to get the tacos with corn tortillas if you're allergic. Sadly this was our downfall of the evening. We love that they offered the corn tortillas so that it's an option to those who are gluten intolerant but the issue was within the execution. The corn tacos fell apart while eating them, while in comparison the flour did not. If you're going to grab the tacos with corn get some extra napkins and maybe a set of cutlery as well. The fish tacos are filled with battered house fish, it is a lot of fish which is great. It is just a little hard to eat, for I'm assuming it's the fish they use within their fish and chips. We hope to go back to try more, and hopefully their corn tortillas will improve as well.

A popular gem along one of the hippest streets in Chilliwack is Bow and Stern. This is the perfect spot to catch a good drink and sefood! There are so many great options to choose from and they even have happy hour throughout the week too! The raw oysters were part of the happy hour deal for $1.50 each. And they were FRESH!! And we doubled down on the oyster by ordering the po'boy too and it was the best decision ever! The oysters in the sandwich are so plump, juicy and fried just right! And for some greens they have this tremendously stacked seafood salad!! There were soo much seafood that included crab meat, prawns, and halibut. This is one of restaurant that will call you back for more no matter how far the ride is!

Always a great option, however, they just raised their corking fee to $25/bottle. I guess we'll just make our mussells at home from now on.

Despite being advertised as an Indian restaurant, their menu has a large variety of great menu choices you spend time going through. I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl with the Pisco Sour cocktail. The drink was strong in sweetness, like the name entails, yet still enjoyed the foamy, bitter taste that accompanies it. The poke bowl was excellent. All the ingredients in the bowl compliments each other in flavour. I really liked the rice and the miso dressing in how it adds to the mixture. Although, a few of the ingredients were a little hard like the avocados. I thought the service was lacking when I noticed one was at the front counter during my arrival, and it was not even busy. I did get a table anywhere in the establishment. The interior look was modern yet upscale with expansive space that are divided into three separate rooms. This restaurant is a great place to eat and socialize and lives up to the lounge aesthetic. I would not mind coming back to eat at the Aroma Bistro.

And while there are no shortage of seafood restaurants serving fresh crab on the Steveston waterfront, we wanted to give The Crab King a fair shake. I'm so glad that we did! My wife ordered a King Crab for herself which, after tearing it literally limb-from-limb, eventually declared it to be tied for her favorite boiled crab dish anywhere! High praise coming from such a consummate crustacean connoisseur! For myself and our son, an order of fish and chips, and the grilled chicken sandwich rounded out our order, both of which were crispy, tasty and delicious. Regarding the fish and chips, they appeared to be tempura-battered, and I'm still not 100% sure what type of fish it was. It may have been cod, but it seemed more like catfish, but either way, it was tender, juicy, flaky and delicious. No complaints here! More than anything, though, the employees here went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. Our toddler son, who is normally extremely well-behaved in restaurants, was having a bit of a fuss here and there. Without prompting, the servers brought us a little radio to play music for him, as well as a couple of toys to play with, one of them being a wind-up truck that they gave to him to take home! He loved it there, and still plays with it at home! They even played peek-a-boo with him from behind the counter, soliciting laughs and giggles, for the better part of 15 minutes! That sort of customer service is nearly impossible to find, and should be praised and cherished wherever it is found! Whatever the past may have held for this restaurant, the Crab King is an entirely new animal now, serving up fresh seafood by uncommonly wonderful employees, in a fantastic floating location. They even offer to cook spot prawns and other seafood purchased from the boats docked at the nearby waterfront marketplace, for a modest fee. With all these things going for it, there's no doubt who wears the crown of Crab King in Steveston Harbor!

The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.
