Hands down the nicest place to eat in Chilliwack. While staying at the Coast Hotel this summer during the Slow Food bike tour, I decided to be adventurous and walk around downtown 'Wack to see what there was to eat. When I came back to the hotel, footsore, hungry, and unimpressed, I went into Preston's and immediately wondered why on earth I'd wasted my time. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Coast Chilliwack, and it is beautiful. My favourite part was the patio next to an enormous pond full of lilypads with a fountain in the centre. A turtle even popped up while I was eating dinner, just to say hello perhaps. I had a great big glass of BC white wine from the selection wines-by-the glass (9 oz = ~$13) and a creamy and delicious seafood pasta that was generous with the shellfish and salmon, if a bit rich for a summer night's eatin' I'm one of those cityfolk types who appreciates sustainable food, local produce, Oceanwise seafood, seasonal eating, all that sort of farm-to-table stuff. The chef at Preston's really tries to embrace all of that. In fact, he was out at one of the farm tour stops the next day, cooking up Angus beef on the BBQ for a long line of cyclists. Overall, a solid hotel restaurant: good food, nice digs, friendly service - and solo diner friendly.

Their BBQ ribs were delicious, so were the sides, and the service was exceptional! Great view too.

Awful service. Horrible, subpar food. Will not go back. So many better places for fine dining in Chilliwack.

To be fair I had checked that area out as I know it's been revitalized in the last half decade, and the ratings were pretty good. It's a cool space with an upstairs that was not open, with a somewhat industrial look which is right up my alley. Give me open wood beams, conduit, bricks and an industrial floor and I'll move in. The service was top notch, Mackenzie was there when we wanted her, and understood we would be there a while catching up. For a younger server, she showed experience beyond her years, and was excellent. We should have tipped her more, and I hate the preset tip percentages. Typically don't use them, but I had a brain fart today. Three of our diners loved their meals. The lovely K loved the fish sandwich, our friends their B&S classic sandwich and most especially the Prawn Cobb salad. Unfortunately my Honey Thyme fried chicken sandwich was not good. Overcooked and black with a paltry amount of fries, not a good $23.00 meal. Would we go again, yes I would because I think someone just f'd my food up. If I was to get that again and it looked like mine today did I would for sure send it back.

Great food and friendly staff. Excellent happy hour prices. We often go for the fresh oysters…read more Fun and dog friendly patio.

Enjoyed strolling through the pedestrian only areas in the sunshine and found our way to The Offy. Friendly staff greeted and seated us outside, our choice, and menus and water delivered. Our waitress, Leoné,I think, so sorry if I have your name wrong, cheerfully took our drink order. I had a beer, Driftwood, Raised by Wolves. Lovely surprise. While The Boss opted for the Ciao Bella, a limoncello, cava, lemon and soda drink and we both ordered the Offy Salad with grilled chicken. Bright and fresh vegetables, carrot, beet and cucumber with shaved radish and bell peppers with a generous breast of seasoned grilled chicken. The Boss had me help her "get rid of the evidence!" As she couldn't finish. So delicious. All in all, we had a marvelous lunch. Friendly attentive, helpful staff who genuinely seem to want to be there. The inside of the restaurant was spacious but relaxed, inviting and quiet when we were there, outside we enjoyed the sunshine, although shade is provided as requested, and people watching. It got a little noisy at times with the traffic, but we knew that would be the case and it didn't detract from our experience. Great food, great selection of drinks, inside and outside seating. Will definitely come back to try more. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Bartender was pleasant, but not the most attentive- did not provide napkin or utensils and had to go get them from another table. Loved their titty cups, but did not get that cocktail lol. If you're a whisky person, they did not really have whiskey other than the tap old fashion and a whiskey sour. Fries were shoestring, served hot and crispy.
