This is our favourite Mexican restaurant. It's so good with generous portions. The prices are so good! The owners are very nice and the waitresses are always very attentive. The Chimichanga is my favourite thing on the menu. It's so good. Perfect crispy outside with a cheesy interior. Mmm My second favourite is the potato quesadilla. Honestly, this thing is amazing. It has the best crunch you will ever get in food.. the potato with the cheese together creates a lovely cream cheesy flavour. In general anything you order is going to be pretty good. They have very yummy refried beans and rice that come with most meals. It's a very traditional Mexican family restaurant with all around good food and a nice friendly feel to the place. read more

This place was recommended by several people and we tried it out on the weekend, food service was average, but the quality and overall the authentic mexican meals that were served on galley trays was not what we were normally would expect. We went on a Friday lunch and got ourselves a window seat. We ordered huarache with salsa verde and chicken, as well as beef chimichanga as well as a strawberry margarita. The food was pretty delicious and we were highly impressed with the portion sizes for the price. The salsa verse was nice but it left me wanting the zing a bit, which I had hoped for. Probably the closest thing to authentic Mexican food I've had locally. Was in Chilliwack and a friend recommended this place and I'm glad she did. The portion to price was very reasonable especially with inflation. We ordered a lime and strawberry margaritas followed by beef flautas and fish tacos. Everything was so good and we left so full! The vibe is very Latin and I felt like I was walking in a local restaurant in Mexico. Great place to eat with friends and catch up or families. A very atmospheric restaurant. What we liked the most was the corn chips they served -- they were incredibly flavorful.

It was just okay the food was luck warm waitresses never checked in on us to see how we were doing . I was disappointed because we were looking forward to a hot meal. The best Mexican food we've ever had. We eat here somewhat regularly now that we found it! My son is Celiac and he loves this place, and has never had issues (he's super sensitive to CC). It is a little different then other Mexican restaurants in that they use lots of sauce (I find others don't do enough) . I have never eaten here and been underwhelmed. My favorite new Mexican place! I find you can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant by the flavor of the refried beans and this place has the best I've had in a long time. We had the mole enchiladas and the chicken chimichanga the first time and recently went back and had the quesidillas and enchiladas. We stumbled upon this restaurant on a Friday afternoon drive. Reviews were good so decided to take a chance. It is as close to authentic Mexican as you will get north of the Mexican border. It is not Tex-Mex, or California Mexican but authentically Mexican. I had the taquitos with rice and home-made beans and my husband had the pork Chimichanga which also came with rice and beans. Both were absolutely delicious. Chips and delicious home made salsa came with our water. The restaurant has been here for 8 years and the owner is from Guadalajara. We felt totally comfortable here with their Covid procedures. It is a drive for us from Surrey but we will definitely be back. read more

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Chilliwack. If you're ever craving some Mexican food but Vancouver is too far, then this place will satisfy you for the meantime. I probably won't come back regularly unless I'm really desperate. The food: Nothing "wow" but it's definitely better than Hugo's. The food came out very fast and it seems like all the stuff was pre-made. I loved the refried beans though. The restaurant: Clean, nicely decorated. Has a good amount of tables that can probably fit 30 or so customers. The service: HUGE ISSUE. There is only one lady working the floor and my god was she overworked. She was cleaning tables, taking orders, running the till, and serving food. It was so blatantly obvious that she was stressed and her aura and behaviour showed it negatively. You can see her huffing and puffing and even rolling her eyes (to the point where her eyes were all white lol!!). I observed this couple sitting down and they must have said something about the table not being clean so the waitress took their menus and slammed it onto the table beside them and walks away to get a rag. Obviously the couple left.. if I wasn't so hungry and craving some enchiladas, I probably would have left too haha. read more

This place is pretty cool. You walk in there and the detail to the decor and the design of the tables and chairs is pretty wild! Hand carved and painted Mexican themed furniture bright fiesta colours it's really cool decor and Mexican vibe Mexican music and Mexican staff with HUGE Mexican dishes and authentic Spivey food! It was pretty darn good for what you'd find in Chilliwack I was quit surprised especially compared to what's out that way. The service was reallllly slow. Like they must have been going in Mexican ciesta time because the place wasn't that busy and the waitresses walked by our tables so many times ignoring us and were just going to the back playing on their phones we had to ask them twice like hey can we order or what? I have super mixed feelings on this place. I don't consider it authentic, which is alright since this is Chilliwack. The food? Some of it was good, the rest was *okay*. I had the combo platter, which was 2 enchiladas and 2 something else, every plate comes with rice, small salad, refried beans. I asked for medium heat though? And no heat. At all. My parents had the burrito, and the fish tacos. Mom loved her burrito (and I enjoyed the leftovers) Dad didn't enjoy the fish tacos. Overly battered. Chips and salsa to start. Nice salsa. Came here after a long trip from interior. Was recommended from my own spouse and her Mexican friends. I ordered the Chile relleno and my spouse ordered the huarache with green salsa. Kids ordered the Aztec soup with tortillas And I ordered Pozole to start. Excellent flavour. The chile relleno was very tasty and at the perfect spice level. Everyone else's was also great and enjoyed. Service is excellent and an older non-mexican gentleman handled the table service. Daughter of the owner was also very kind and courteous. Not the biggest fan of this Mexican restaurant. There are much better Mexican restaurants in town. The food comes way too quickly for my liking, you can tell the microwave is their best friend. Once I was in there and it was a nurses's birthday at another table. The restaurant tried to be nice by offering her a shot. She had to go to work right after, so she asked if the shot contained alcohol. They told her that it did not. Well she had the shot and immediately spat it out and said that there was definitely alcohol in there. Then they said... "just a little bit". I've seen a lot of people say Alicia's in town is better, so I have tried it a few times and found the food to be quite bland in comparison. Hugo's is downright boring. The verde sauce is also yummy! The service - even for take-out - was warm and friendly. I will admit, I don't have a lot of experience with authentic Mexican food. I've gone across the border a couple times and enjoyed myself. Fiesta Loca is amazing. It is run by a Mexican woman who absolutely loves to cook and her hilarious German husband. They are always friendly the food is to die for. Tons of flavor and you get a lot of it. I wouldn't recommend takeout because I think the food should be eaten fresh. I recommend the fish tacos. A bonus is you are supporting a local family by eating here instead of a large chain. I love this restaurant but cannot see myself going back. We made reservations 2 weeks ago for a friends birthday and Cinco de Mayo. The reservation was confirmed not once but twice. The girl even asked that we promise not to cancel as it was a busy night. Imagine our surprise when we showed up, a party of 8, at 630 on a Friday only to be told that they were not taking reservations on Cinco de Mayo. So instead of enjoying my favourite Mexican place I'm going to Browns because they were willing to help us. Dear Fiesta Loca thanks for ruining our night. It was also awesome that the bitchy waitress was so rude. Not surprised that this place is open less and less. Do not count on this place for good service or apparently reservations. read more
