Very disappointing. Scammers. Be careful when dealing with Earl's Restaurant. I was given a Gift Card of $100 from an amazing person. Just recently my wife myself and my daughter went to Earl's to have dinner and to use the Gift card at that time. We gave the server (Makayla) the gift card, as we sat down. She said that she would take the amount off of the bill. We had dinner and it was decent just not a lot of food on our plates. I usually don't eat there because I find it very expensive. With the gift card it's not so bad. When we received the bill I didn't notice that she had not removed the gift card amount off of the bill. I noticed the next day when I was going though my credit card. I had been charged the full amount of the bill ($123.81). No problem right? I phoned the restaurant manger to have this resolved, and ask to have a refund of the $100 as they had my gift card at the store. He said they don't under no circumstances give any refunds. The manger said they had the gift card in their safe and I could pick it up and use again for a future dinner or give it to somone else. Now I have to pay twice for very mediocre food ($123.81 the first time and $18.96 the second time). I asked him, if I had not seen that my credit card was overcharged what would happen to the gift card. He said that if it's not pick up, then the server would get it. I guess Mikayla would get $100 extra tip. I called the head office and left a message which said they would contact me within 48 hours. I'm still waiting for that call, which was over three weeks ago. Maybe a lot of you like eating at Earl's but just make sure that you aren't over charged. read more

The food was tasty. I had the Parmesan chicken. Unfortunately it was more delicious paired with the risotto. The chicken alone didn't have much of any seasoning. The drinks were pretty good too. The ambiance was nice and clean. The service was a bit slow but to be a bit expected due to it being Father's Day. read more

My grandma and I decided to go here for lunch, we walked in and were blown away by how gorgeous the inside of the restaurant was. The decor was beautiful. We were sat immediately and we were sat in these big comfy leather chairs, we were there for a while, and my back didn't hurt by the end of it. I ordered truffle fries which were absolutely delicious although a bit pricey side for a side. My grandma had a small garden greens salad with prawns, the lettuce wasn't that crunchy but my grandma still thought it was delicious. Our server was lovely, however, at the end of the service we were kind of brushed past and had to wait for our bill. Although, the restaurant had two big tables that had just come in for lunch, so as a former server I can sympathize. Overall a great experience with some good food, and a good environment with lovely staff. read more

Earls never lets you down! It's a guaranteed hit across Canada. A group of 7 of us enjoyed dinner - the staff was very accommodating and attentive. My dad is 83 years old and hard f hearing and the waitress was very kind and patient with him - I do appreciated that. The food was amazing - one ribeye with mashed potatoes, one pizza, 2 Santa Fe salads with chicken, Santa Fe tacos and the crispy tofu tacos. We all loved our meals and had a great evening together. They put us at a long table with a couch on one side and chairs on the other. Although there were other tables around we felt secluded and had great conversation. I have heard this story but never thought it would happen to me. I ordered food for pick up but when we got back home part of the order was totally wrong. Called the restaurant right away, talked to a manager on the phone. The solution was to give us a credit or make the food again. No real apology. Obviously this really was not a solution. So it was our responsibility to drive back to the restaurant to get a remake or go hungry. After some discussion the manager finally agreed to remake the meal and give us a credit. Seems the least they could do. Got the remade meal but really it was the most bland meal I have ever had. Defiantly not up to an Earls standard. It was just a chicken ceaser salad but the chicken portion was unbelievable small and the croutons we incredibly dry. They threw in some Carlin toast that was hard as a rock. Pretty sad all around, what happened to standards, what happened to customer service. As I said this is not the first time I have heard of this happening from this location. read more

Earls is a chain restaurant that I have visited in the Toronto area and was expecting average service and food. This Earls in the small town of Chilliwack sets a higher standard that other locations can learn from. Our server was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The price point is fair with large portions. The Sicilian pizza was the star of the meal. It was spicy and delicious. I would come back just for this. The Jeera chicken was also tasty and flavorful. Overall, wonderful service, good food, with a slight upscale ambiance made it a great experience. read more

There's a lot of average chain food in this part of town. At Earls you can expect slightly better than average food, with better service that most other restaurants and an upbeat atmosphere. While many head west to the Cactus Club and Moxies for the beautiful women, I'm guessing most come here for the food and ambiance. It's a great place to watch games and enjoy a meal, but be prepared, most of the items on the menu cost more than you'd expect. As long as you don't mind paying a premium, you'll enjoy this place, but don't plan on coming for value. Personally, I ordered the Cajun chicken and had nothing to complain about. It was well seasoned, a large piece of quality, boneless chicken and came with two great sides: a wonderful side salad (that wasn't cheap iceberg lettuce) and pasta with tomato sauce. Enjoyed every bite. One of my buddies ordered the bacon burger, which is more than enough food for even the largest person. From what we saw brought to other tables (and experienced at other locations) there's nothing on the menu that isn't fair to food. read more

I would give earls zero stars if it was an option. I paid $8 for a soup and the small container wasn't even close to full. Every time I go there it is a complete disappointment and waste of time and money. I will never go back. The Earl's at Cottonwood Mall in Chilliwack is, at best a nice place to bring the family for a dinner out. I was by myself so I had an opportunity to relax and scope the place out. I am from Southern California so I may not be tuned into local ways of doing things, so please read this in that context. The service was OK but not professional. I asked for a single malt scotch and the server had no idea what I was talking about. The scotch came but no bread or rolls on the table. I ordered a mixed greens salad with blue cheese dressing in place of the oil and vinegar dressing that was listed on the menu. I was told that" I don't think we have blue cheese". The salad came with the oil and vinegar dressing. No bread on the table to accompany the salad. They don't, apparently serve bread as an accompaniment. I ordered the 9 oz top sirloin medium rare. It was, in fact cooked medium rare. The problem was the meat had lots of un chewable gristle. The steak was tasty but not as advertised on the menu. I realize that Chilliwack is a bit away from Vancouver. The server was not really trained. She tried but her inexperience was overwhelming. I have scratched Earl's off my go again next time I am up this way list. read more

I remember when this location was built. I was excited, as Chilliwack/Sardis didn't have an Earl's yet. I always had to stop in at the Abbotsford location to get the food I liked. I made a couple visits here during the week I was in town. I was pleasantly surprised by a couple of their exclusive red wines. Most importantly, my beloved fettuccine Alfredo. When I was 18, I had never had it before. Earl's in Abbotsford ruined it for most other restaurants, by making it PROPERLY. A cream sauce, not chicken soup Alfredo as most restaurants think is acceptable (yeah, well it's not). I've been to Earl's locations that make the sauce too thin, or not enough on the pasta. Or inexplicably, like the Red Deer location was doing - not sure if they smartened up or not, penne Alfredo. Never liked that move. ANYWAY, holy crap eh? Spit it out Robot! The Alfredo sauce was magic. It was a perfect level of thickness that stuck to the fettuccine noodles the way it should stick. They also sell pan bread, which I've found some locations weren't doing for a while. And their pan bread was almost half the price of some locations I've seen. Went here for dinner with my kids. They have a kids menu and the selection wasn't bad. I had there Bronx burger with the chowder. The soup was good. Just the right amount of clams and potato mix. The burger is a little different. It's a good size but I thought it was a little dry. A little over cook. I feel sorry for our waitress as she got me 8 diet coke refills. I love the bottomless pop deals. She was very good. Always getting me refills before I finish my pop. Overall, I would go back again but for the money it wouldn't be my first pick. read more

That was my favourite dish of all time and I went there specifically to order that and unfortunately they have changed the recipe for that and they don't use the same kind of fish for the beer battered fish any more. Earl's is always a nice change of pace. It's a higher-end restaurant that I can take my children too because it is pretty loud. The food has always been good, I like the Cajun chicken with a warm potato salad. The serving staff has always been great. I don't know if they still have it but I tried their fish taco once and it tasted like a fish stick wrapped in a tortilla shell. I don't recommend it at all. A little bit more expensive than I'm used to for a burger, but it was really good! I also had one of their handcrafted sodas (the elderberry one I think) and it was SO good. I didn't find any better options in Chilliwack, and even with the higher costs, I would most definitely recommend Earl's. read more
