I've been a patron of Bravo since it opened, and have spent a lot of time and money in the restaurant over the years. Tonight, after arriving to have a birthday meal for my daughter visiting from overseas, we were turned away by the staff, because one of us was not wearing a mask. That person had both a provincial and federal medical mask exemption. They did not care - they refused to accept this. Bear in mind how ridiculous this is. The mask would be worn from the door to the table only, and then, while dining, the mask would not be required. So, for the sake of one person not wearing a mask for about 20 seconds (in and out), this unyielding and inhospitable restaurant turned us away, lost our patronage, and bitterly disappointed a visitor on a special occasion. This type of arbitrary behaviour is worthy of an appropriate response. So, my family will not be going to Bravo again, ever. They do not deserve loyal customers. read more

My wife and I decided to try Bravo last night for our wedding anniversary dinner. Before I even get to the food, the service was top notch. Our head waitress was kind and had great/honest recommendations. The drinks kept flowing and there were a combination of 3 people who took care of our table. The atmosphere in there is top notch, quiet, private, romantic and cozy! The food was out of this world. Wow the seared Yarrow meadows duck, apple and parsnip purée, with fig compote is amazing at Bravo! I am not a fan of duck but this blew me away. The purée was a nice compliment to the seared duck and was not too overwhelming in apple flavour. The service was also fantastic and welcoming. The waiter/waitress were friendly and approachable. We took friends to Bravo for dinner as a thank you gift. Our friends really enjoyed their meal but we found it was not up to the usual Bravo standards. The service was amazing. If I could give our server 6 stars I would. She was that good. The ambiance is terrific as usual and we were able to converse nicely with our friends even although the restaurant was full. We brought our own bottle of wine and our server kept it topped up during the course of the evening. Our friends shared the scallop appetizer and they said it was very good. My husband and I had the calamari and it was not one of the better calamari dishes. I found the calamari to be overcooked and the calamari was tough. For entrees my husband and I both had the rack of lamb and our friends had beef tenderloin and chicken with pasta. They both enjoyed their meals but my husband and I thought there was a lack of seasoning on the lamb rack. You could have the lamb rack with 3 or 5 chops. I ordered the 3 chops and my husband ordered the 5 chops. On each of our plates 1 of the chops was so small that it was more like 1/2 a chop. They tried to compensate by putting what looked like a bit of roast lamb on the plate. It was a cheaper cut of lamb for sure. For the price of the rack of lamb it was not good value at all. We didn't say anything to our marvelous server as we do not like to make a fuss while we are dining with others. For dessert my husband and I shared a mixed berry cheesecake. It was 3 mini cheesecakes and it was very good. Our friends shared the pineapple upside down cake and they said it was excellent. We will return since Bravo has always been one of our favorite restaurants in the area and we hope that our poor dining experience that evening was just an anomaly. read more

Bravo is definitely Chilliwack's best restaurant. If you are in town and looking for great meal, Bravo is unlike any you will find in Chilliwack. The service here is great and the martini selection full. But the food is really what keeps me coming back. Next time you are in town try the fresh gnocchi, or the handmade porgies. The duck dish is a personal favourite for mine, but heck-make sure you try the features for the week, seasonal, fresh and divine. read more

I wasn't expecting much walking into this place, but that was an error in judgement on my part. Everybody who works here knows exactly what they are doing and will tailor an amazing evening for you. They were nice enough to take us even though it was late and delivered 5 amazing courses, one after another. Each course went on to impress every person at our table. This is by far the best restaurant in Chilliwack. You will not do better in Vancouver. The beef tenderloin is my favorite. The potatoes au gratin are the best I have had anywhere. The wine menu is extensive and an award winner. Menu is well priced and service is good. read more

Promptly asked if we could hold and the phone was put down, not even put on hold. Listened to him chat in the background for with others for 8 minutes before we finally hung up. Excellent food! This restaurant rivals any restaurant found in downtown Vancouver. The wine list was superb and I wouldn't hesitate to say better than many downtown restaurants. We went on a Sat night and the place was packed. Food was divine, portions were good sized, martini was ok but the wine list made up for the mediocre martini. Our only complaint was that there was a very large party near us who were having very loud (and at time inappropriate) conversations and walking past us to get to the back door to outside to smoke regularly. We were trying to have a romantic dinner and found this rather disruptive. Had we been seated elsewhere in the restaurant (in a booth at the front), I doubt this would have been an issue. read more

The food at this place is some of the best that I have ever had. There was nothing bad about Bravo. Even the bread is incredible. I had the Chicken Penne - wow. My wife had the salmon and loved it and our friend had the duck and it was amazing. The service was great even though they were busy. To top it off the place looks incredible. Do not judge it by its storefront, it is like walking through a magic portal as you enter the restaurant. I seriously can not say enough nice things about this place. I have family in Chilliwack. We decided to go out to eat, so we stopped by Bravo. As soon as we stepped in, we were met with extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Steak is my favorite food, so naturally I went with the ribeye. As someone who has been to many steakhouses in Vancouver, the ribeye I had at Bravo was bar-none the best steak I have ever had. I can say that with 100% confidence. If you are in the Chilliwack area, you must go to Bravo. The chef is gifted in his ability to create original and exceptionally delicious dishes, and the other staff are wonderful. read more

Where to start? I've been going to Bravo since it opened. Every meal has been fantastic and it keeps me coming back. During one such dinner with my parents, tickets for the annual New Years Eve party were on sale and I told them they should get some. They had a BLAST! Aside from that, this place serves up the meanest cocktails - the barstaff know what they're doing! Lets talk about the food: the mussels are always delicious here, excellent appetizer option. Their Osso Bucco is impressive. Its a giant piece of lamb shank stewed to perfection. Rack of lamb is also a thumbs up. They had a pork cutlet on the menu once served with a housemade apple compot which was phenomenal. I rarely order porkchops at restaurants but I'm so glad I did. Dessert is also a must. The upside down pineapple cake is divine. Your best just getting the trio plate and trying little bits of all their signature desserts.... wish they had that for the entrees! I'm looking forward to my next trip and trying the Bison shortrib or maybe wild salmon on crab potato mash. Oh these guys also have a very very impressive wine list. One time, they no longer had the bottle we wanted in stock and brought us up an option from their cellar.... it was Orin Swift Papillon 2008. My first time at Bravo and it did not disappoint, lived up to the Yelp reviews. The food was excellent! Had the beef tenderloin and it was cooked perfect (medium rare) and this is the best piece of meat I ever had. Just melted in my mouth, so soft and with great flavour. This used to be a great, happening place that was fun to go to and the food was incredible. It has changed in a big way. Last time we were there, the waiter was terrible. When he brought out the birthday girl's dessert, we asked if it had peanuts in it because she was allergic. He said he didn't know and the cooks had gone home (it wasn't even 10 p.m.). He suggested that I (sitting beside her) try it and let her know. He also hovered over us (along with the owner/manager) in what felt like a strong encouragement to leave, even though we were the only people in there at 9 p.m. on a Friday night and were still ordering. They even turned the music off on us. Horrible experience and I won't be going back. It feels like the owners have given up. read more

The place has always been our favourite place in town to visit. For its class and delicious food. Tonight maybe was a one off. But it felt very unorganized and unprofessional. Not being greeted at the door, getting seated at the bar for our table for our 645 seating which we showed up early too. Then the hostess asked us where we were sitting as she had no idea where we were sitting. And after one drink the empty glass sat on the table the entire meal. The food was better than average, although I had the prawn and snapper dish- the snapper was over done ,everyone else enjoyed their entree. My biggest complaint was a few of the servers were not so friendly ,we had at least 3-4 servers,which isn't a huge deal breaker,but we wanted some dessert and no one came back to take our order! read more
