10/10 execution and service, 7-8/10 food, drinks, and price…read more It's a bold move to hide your business, but the hint was clear enough that we felt confident opening an unmarked door and exploring. The entrance is delightfully well-done, and our faces lit up when we walked into the bar - intricately detailed and authentic enough that a '20s dress code could be reasonably enforced. We were seated immediately, and the cadence of service was immaculate: our appetizer came out just after our drinks, and the entrees appeared as we were taking the last bites of the appetizer. But I wasn't thrilled with my selections. The Rum Punch was served at room temperature and the jalapeño popper chicken sandwich was drier than the description suggested. My partner got the Jalisco Fizz, which she says paired well with the mushroom pasta, and really enjoyed the salmon deviled eggs. At $11-14, the drinks are priced well, but the food is overpriced. The jalapeño chicken sandwich was not a $23 sandwich, and a tempting lobster/shrimp roll was listed at $35. Overall Speakeasy Saloon is worth making an evening of. Dress up and sip on whiskey drinks in the low light with loved ones.

Connor is a genius! I told him I wanted a couple of n/a cocktails and that he could pick for me…read more(I'd like anything) or experiment on me. He chose the latter. OMG! Each used n/a spirits (n/a mezcal in the latter) and a symphony of sophisticated ingredients, which wish I tell you what. Each had a speared dried citrus slice and a luscious ginger bite (or something!) a top. The first had included honey, but it wasn't sweet--just complexified with a little snap to it that the honey smoothed; the second was a little sweeter in tone, including a bit of huckleberry along with the mezcal. (Connor might recall them by my play name for them. Inspired by a book in my hand on collecting meteorites, I nicknamed the first the "Extraterrestrial Visitor" and the second the "Heavenly Visitor.") They were so delicious I suggested he put them on the menu. If he does or doesn't, no matter. Just ask him if he has time to get creative for you. He'll ask you flavor tone preferences, or you can just go for whatever he wants to make, like I did. Again, he is excellent. I enjoyed my lovely drinks with a Caesar salad (another OMG!) which included crispy bacon bits and loads of tiny shreds of a delicious white cheese along with a creamy dressing. It was scrumptious as was the very lovely charcuterie plate. Pistachios, green apple slices, fat outstanding Castelvetrano olives (caution: with pits), a luscious pepper jelly that went beautifully dipped into with their choice of excellent crackers, delicately flavored salami and a prosciutto so elegantly-flavored it could make you weep. And it was lovely enjoying it all on their "porch" on a sunny day.

The place has potential but honestly disappointed. See photo below of the Hummus Platter. Really? Next came the "Baked Brie with Figs & Cherries" - which sounded delicious. No figs in sight - yes, a ramekin of baked brie with a bit of cherry in it, but... uninspired. We also ordered the Stuffed Potobello - and left most of it on the plate. Pros? It was close to our hotel, and has charming half-moon booths. Summary? Uninspired with potential.

Character's is a friendly, good sized pub in Chilliwack…read more They have an awesome cocktail selection, nightly drink specials and awesome service. Twice when we came here, it was getting late ( past 1130 but we still were able to order food! ) While visiting, this was our go to place ! We came here 3 times, and each visit was 5/5! The staff were always friendly and attentive, but never overbearing. They had a huge awesome cocktail selection(including blended frozen delights !) at really reasonable prices. They always had a food and drink special going on. The food was always so very good - we kept coming back ! The atmosphere was super fun and laid back. They played good music at a perfect volume. They also had TVs that showed sports and a smaller one for lotto like Keno. Drinks we enjoyed included - Blended Frozen Peach Belini Bartenders Root Beer Mudslide White Russian Blended Frozen Strawberry Peach Margarita Pint of Canadian with a side of Clamato (my husband said it was the best type of Clamato- he was really pleased) Food selection included Potato Skins ( OMG The BEST Ever !! ) Beef Dip w/ceaser salad Calamari Artichoke Dip Double Bacon Cheeseburger w/onion rings Can't say enough good things about this place. Will defiantly return next time we are in the area.

I've always wanted to do something like this but have been a bit nervous to do so but he made the class fun, funny, and so easy! You have the chance to make 3 bespoke artisan cocktails during this 3 hour class, 2 of their signatures and then the 3rd Aaron let us pick! He made it so easy and explained each step well, also how to use the tools properly along with sharing some great tips on shaking, measuring and also the importance of balance in your cocktail. I enjoyed every minute as well as consuming the cocktails after... each so delicious made with their in house liquors. If I had room I would have bought several bottles with me to take home!

Aaron came out as we were looking for Plan B and let us know the event had just ended and they were open again. (5 loud cheers on the street for sure!) I tried both the Kyoto and Wet Work, enjoying them both. They would even work as a blend of one another. My dad accidentally ordered a chocolate martini instead of an espresso martini, and Aaron made it happen. (The entire table loved it! Take that poured over some ice cream and I'd be far too content!) My brother had the gin martini, and while not a fan of gin straight up, it had a nice smooth finish that I could appreciate.

Enjoyed strolling through the pedestrian only areas in the sunshine and found our way to The Offy. Friendly staff greeted and seated us outside, our choice, and menus and water delivered. Our waitress, Leoné,I think, so sorry if I have your name wrong, cheerfully took our drink order. I had a beer, Driftwood, Raised by Wolves. Lovely surprise. While The Boss opted for the Ciao Bella, a limoncello, cava, lemon and soda drink and we both ordered the Offy Salad with grilled chicken. Bright and fresh vegetables, carrot, beet and cucumber with shaved radish and bell peppers with a generous breast of seasoned grilled chicken. The Boss had me help her "get rid of the evidence!" As she couldn't finish. So delicious. All in all, we had a marvelous lunch. Friendly attentive, helpful staff who genuinely seem to want to be there. The inside of the restaurant was spacious but relaxed, inviting and quiet when we were there, outside we enjoyed the sunshine, although shade is provided as requested, and people watching. It got a little noisy at times with the traffic, but we knew that would be the case and it didn't detract from our experience. Great food, great selection of drinks, inside and outside seating. Will definitely come back to try more. Thank you for a great afternoon.
