I really wanted to like this place but I got salmonella from eating their food. I Would not recommend just because how the owner/ manager handled the situation. When we talked to the manager about the medical situation, he got aggressive and was quick to be rude and made handling the situation much more stressful. Food is fresh and looks great but the seasonings are so subtle it left us both "wanting". IMO they really need to shake them season shakers a little longer and harder. I could not tell a difference between the grilled steak and the seasoned beef sopes. Great to eat to tame the bear mind you, just not memorable. Not looking for heat, just spiced up. The Tamales looked awesome and again were okay in mastication. The masa flavor I so covet from this entree was subtle and the beef filling same as the sopes; just too soft a voice to be heard. We really enjoyed the chips and guacamole. The chips are a unique corn mix and crunchy and we loved their recipe for guacamole. No wine or beer and no unsweetened tea offered, so assumed not available. Only sugary pops and water. The outside table wobbled horribly and the chairs are well over due for the free "Palm Casual PVC" foam seat replacements. (hint!-hint!) Sorry for us both for the "ok" rating. read more

4 stars for good Mexican food at a decent price. I had a veggie sopes, quesotaco, and a Gordita. Everything was pretty good. I put all four sauces on all my food which added a lot of flavor. My favorite was probably the sopes and close behind would be the gordita. Christian got three chicken tacos and he thought they were okay. The chicken was kinda dry and the flavor was lacking. The food was filling, but wasn't anything special. The ladies working there are so sweet and helpful. The restaurant is small and homey and their prices are great. The bill for everything came out to be around $16. Overall I had a good experience. If you are in the mood for some good, cheap Mexican food, this is a pretty solid option. read more

My daughter and I went To Ocoee Taco Company for lunch. We had nachos and queso appetizer. 3 Shrimp tacos and 3 mashed potato tacos. We paid $28.00 for just these 3 items. We just had water to drink. The prices are very expensive for what you get. When we left there we were still hungry. The website reflects much lower prices than what they actually charge. But once we arrived it turned out to be a small place so we gave it a shot. We had to order through a window because of COVID. The food was great. We sat outside and it was ok. A true hidden gem. I've been here a bunch of times and it's always superb. It's a very small place, maybe 4-5 tables inside with an additional 4-5 outside. I believe it's a family run establishment which makes it even better, and you know it's love. It's unassuming from the outside and may be a turn off, but please don't let that deterr you. There are fountain drinks as well as bottled jarritos and Mexican coke. When you enter there is a register and small desk to the right, tables and restroom to the left. Wow where to start, My wife and I came to this place we always drove by never stopped to check it out because it was always empty. But we decided to not Judge a book by its cover and eat here. First impression the guy thats taking the orders has an attitude. Didn't even welcome us in, was mumbling the the answers to the questions I was asking him. Plus he was on his phone, im all about customer service and thats not something the guy knows. We have been meaning to try this little place since we've moved here, it's talked about by all the locals and we see it mentioned all the time online. Even with all that hype, it took us 3 years to make it in. 3 years of wasted time... 3 years worth of tacos I could have been enjoying. Oh, the regret! I read the Yelp reviews, I can't imagine what it would take to please the people that aren't impressed. Is this a 5 michelin star restaurant? Heavens, no. It's just some damn good mexican food... in Ocoee! Locals should be proud, shout it from the rooftops, support local business, esp. when it's this good. Let me tell you why you should *not* be joining my newly formed "Taco Regret Club" (in other words: grab someone you love and get in the car and get your booty in here): We were greeted and ordered at the counter when we came in, it's a small building with only a few tables inside, some outside seating is also available. The menu is on the wall with pictures and the staff was friendly and easy to ask questions of. We were offered a table by a couple who was there to grab their pick up order. Even the customers are friendly! I'll start with the salsa, because this might be one of the best I've had, and I spent 15+ years in central valley California, a place that is saturated in excellent Mexican food. It arrived fast with chips and extra plates for each of us. This salsa was complex, had a depth of flavor and this wonderful vinegary tang that was smoothed out by the avocado chucks generously present in the salsa. It was fresh and so well balanced that I pondered why my homemade salsa didn't taste this good. My family of 4 raved about this salsa, including my daughter who swears she can't stand fresh cilantro. The cilantro was just the right amount, lending it's fresh flavor to the salsa without overpowering it. My husband ordered the fish tacos, my son ordered the chicken quesadilla, my daughter and I decided to split a burrito with seasoned pork and the green enchilada with all the cilantro on the side for Miss Fussy Pants. My son loved his dish, he said the cheese was amazing and so gooey! He can't wait to come back and have it again. My daughter and I agreed that the winner was the green enchiladas, we normally can't stand corn tortillas, always opting for flour when it's an option, but these enchiladas were amazing! The tortillas were corn, but they weren't like any corn tortillas we've ever had. My husband agreed, his fish tacos were all corn tortillas and we all went on about how airy they were. They aren't dense and bone dry like other corn tortillas are. Hubby also said the fry on the fish was light and crispy, just the right amount of breading to not weigh the fish down. 4 sauces were on the table... 2 green and 2 red (a mild and a spicy for each color). Hubby and the kiddos tried them all (I wasn't wanting anything spicy, so I passed on the hots, opting to only try the milds). The green was about what you'd expect for a verde sauce, but I really liked the red. It wasn't like a traditional taco sauce, it tasted more like a vinegar based red drizzle (it wasn't thick). I liked it. The kids liked the hot ones, freaks that they are. So, bottom line is I have 3 years of lost time to make up for, so I'll be back! Was in the Ocoee area starving, and this taco joint saved my life! I LOVE tacos, so when I see a good yelp review on a taco restaurant I HAVE to go check it out! I walked in around 5:30pm on a Wednesday and it was empty, so much I got a little nervous cause there was no cars parked, and I was on the other side of town, by myself... lol I walked it, the place is small, and clean. I was greeted, and the young lady explained their menu and answered all my questions. I ordered a chicken taco, steak taco, a steak Gordita and a bottle water. The tacos are the traditional style Mexican taco, simple small corn tortillas with cheese, onion, and cilantro. I like the steak, it was seasoned better then the chicken. But enjoyed them both. The Gordita was like an arepas style stuffed with steak, cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, that was BOMB! With those three items I felt good, not hungry nor over stuffed. I took two tacos to go and spent $13, not bad at all! I was there for 45 minutes and when I left there was not one parking spot available, and from the looks of it a lot of local regulars go there, which is awesome!
