We had a large table set up for our group and everything looked really nice. The food was really good. We ordered steak and eggs; chicken and waffle; salmon and several other dishes. Everything we tried was delicious. The drinks were great too! I had an espresso martini and it was really good. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I visited Oasis Cafe on Northern Blvd. this evening, and while the staff was very attentive and welcoming, the experience itself took an unexpected turn. We were greeted at the entrance and directed to a table at the very end of the outdoor seating area. Unbeknownst to us, what started as a peaceful table for two soon turned into a dinner party--with some very uninvited guests. Once the clock struck six, a swarm of mosquitoes decided to join us at our table. I spent pretty much the entire duration of my visit swatting them away. By the time we left, I had acquired six mosquito bites. As for the food, my latte was good, the hummus was average, and the calamari was our least favorite. I thought I was going to enjoy a nice dinner outdoors. Instead, I ended the night as dinner. The staff was lovely, but unfortunately, the mosquito situation made it very difficult to enjoy the experience. read more

Beautiful Atmosphere, Disappointing Service. I discovered this establishment while visiting the area and was immediately impressed by its atmosphere. Although I did not dine in, I noticed how beautiful and inviting the seating area looked. The ambience is exceptional, offering a peaceful respite from the busy surroundings. The selection of cakes, pies, and other desserts is impressive. The strawberry cheesecake was enjoyable, though it did not stand out as a highlight. My main concern with this place is the service. Unfortunately, the interactions with staff left me feeling as though my presence was an inconvenience rather than welcomed. Had been years since I've been here and it was such an amazing surprise to see how amazing it has become. The outside patio section makes it feel like you away on vacation. Walking into The Oasis Diner was a bit confusing. There's a bakery at the entrance. The bakery items looks so delicious but I need a full breakfast. I looked around and saw an upstairs that I'm ed to a beautiful and luxurious dining area. As we entered the dining room to be seated, I started hearing smooth jazz which created a romantic vibe. The reason I decided to give a review on the appearance is because I think the establishment of as some fine qualities, which I did mention. I do think improvements are needed that would most definitely influence me to dine in would be, having a clean table to sit at. I said to my plus one, you picked the dirtiest table to sit at. We sat at a cleaner table as the staff member places the scannable menu on the table. I picked the menu up to bring it closer and there was a long strand of hair. I immediately came to the conclusion that if they do couldn't keep hair off of the table, the may not be able to keep hair out of the food. My first time at Oasis and I enjoyed the experience. There was not a long wait to be seated the hostess was friendly. The ambiance is nice good music. The waitress promptly came to the table with ice water and took our orders. We ordered sweet and spicy buffalo wings, ice matcha latte, and a Mediterranean kiss for drinks. The food and drinks where good. Wings had alot of flavor and the drinks are not watered down. Went to eat at Oasis after a buy one get one free entree coupon came up on TLife which led us to Entertainment which listed Oasis and voila our coupon. Ordered our food and let the waiter know about the coupon. He had no idea what it was and then the manager came over to ask to see the coupon. Then she came back again and took a picture of the coupon. And then she came back a third time to tell us that she sent the coupon to the owner and the owner didn't know what it was and they would not honor the coupon. She told me that the owner said that it was the previous owner who put up this ad and they had nothing to do with it. To be honest we have lived here for over 20 years and Oasis is a neighborhood restaurant. If it wasn't for this coupon I would not have known that they have regular food at this place. I always thought it was a cafe and dessert place. We ordered chicken breast and our chicken quesadilla and a Greek salad entree to serve as the appetizer. So basically we had three entrees. The owner could have honored the coupon and at least have given us the salad on the house. But instead the manager offered dessert on the house as a show of good faith. To be perfectly honest I really didn't want dessert. I would have rather have just had the salad on the house but it was probably not her call. The food was ok, nothing great. Stopped into Oasis Cafe and grabbed a burger and it really hit the spot. The burger was juicy, cooked right, and you could tell it was fresh. Nothing overly fancy, just a really solid burger done the right way. The bun held up well and everything tasted balanced without being greasy. We had a pleasant experience here for brunch today. I really like the outdoor seating area. There was plenty of shade so it wasn't super hot. We had the margarita pizza to share. I had the 718 sandwich with truffle fries and I really enjoyed it. The girls also ordered the chicken quesadilla and wings, and they liked their food as well. I also really like their coffee, it was frothy and delicious. I am so glad they extended their food menu and I would love to try other items on their menu next time, like their pastas! You can pick anything at random and you'll enjoy it! The service is deplorable. Employee answers the phone like it's her own "yeah, hello" - like be more professional girlypop, this is a job so maybe throw in the name of the establishment in there. Reason I was calling in the first place? 5 delivery drivers turned away from picking up my order so I inquired - "oh yeah I cancelled that on uber"... it's not cancelled if there are delivery drivers still heading to pick up the order. Hidden gem in my neighborhood. This cafe is super cute, extensive menu. A little pricey but everything was very good. The outdoor area is a tropical oasis, feels like you're on vacation and not on Northern Blvd. Service was a little slow, there was only 1 waitress on a busy Friday afternoon. The pizza was a large shareable portion, 718 panini was very tasty, I ordered medium and it was a little over cooked. Nutella crepe was huge and delicious. Came here for a quick lunch with a friend on a weekend. I've stopped by here before after seeing the beautiful display of desserts and baked goods and realized there was a whole restaurant inside! Finally came for their food - they have both indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted for indoor for the AC. Seating is very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Their menu offers salads, pizzas, burgers, paninis and grilled meats. I got their chicken souvlaki with a side of Greek salad. Only complaint is the chicken was a bit dry. I love when you go to a local place and it lives up to the social media aesthetics hype. I came to Oasis with a friend to have drinks and dinner. The vibe is 100 percent Mediterranean by the water relaxation. Decor is amazing and drink and food presentation were great. You'll definitely get the picture you want here. Service is okay, they don't rush you so that's nice. I tried the halloumi (fried cheese) which I've never had before. It was pretty good as an appetizer. The Greek Salad and Chicken Souvlaki were as expected, nothing special. I really enjoyed the white sangria. It was great to sip on while chit chatting. After we finished dining we went into the bakery to get some sweets and bread to go. the traditional Greek bread was so good and citrusy/sweet. i will definitely give them another try. I went on a Wednesday afternoon and decided to sit in the back since it was pretty empty. We ordered two coffees, which were mediocre at best. The waitress never checked in on us, and when we asked for the check, it took about 10 minutes to get it and another 20 minutes before she came back to pick it up. Eventually, we had to walk up to the counter and pay ourselves. We chose not to leave a tip because she barely served us. the only thing she did properly was take our order. To make matters worse, after seeing the no tip, she sarcastically said, "Wow, thank you for the tip." I have never encountered a more unprofessional or rude waitress. What exactly was she expecting a tip for? It wasn't even busy, so I can't excuse the lack of service. This was easily the worst service experience I've ever had. Ordered their Spanikopita Spinach pie several times and it doesn't ever disappoint with it's perfect flaky delicate crust. I love their packaging with their logo and everything is always packaged so securely. The last time I ordered their strawberry tres leches cake and a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Freddo Espresso w/Cinnamon. Both were amazingly fresh and delicious and the cinnamon on top of the Espresso was a perfect addition. Always high quality food when ordering from here. Oasis has been updated since my last visit, a beautiful outdoor patio cafe set up as well as a full on bar scene in the back of the place. I know there were tables and such, I didn't know how large of a dining room they had. If you like the music and the younger people scene, that's in the rear. For a quieter laid back cafe experience, stay in the front. Lots of fresh goodies in those display cases which I drool over. Given I'm usually stopping in with my kids in town, we're always buying the cupcakes and cheesecake. The tirimisu is a classic favorite as are the Greek cookies by the piece. This visit was with my friend post dinner so drinks were in order and something sweet. She got the Greek galaktoboureko and I ordered an assortment of cookies by the piece and a mini cannoli. The one thing I had to order on top of this, the Affogato. Delectable - scoop of plain vanilla ice cream drowned in a shot of espresso. My favorite. I had always came for brunch but decided to come for dinner on a Saturday night. There was over an hour wait but we decided to wait. Their outside patio area is more beautiful at night than during the day. They have string lights all over which gives the outside area a fun and elegant ambiance. I ordered chicken souvlaki with a Cesar salad and their espresso martini. Their martini was ok but tasted too much like orange which threw me off. I then ordered their Lolita drink which was delicious; it was sweet and refreshing. The Cesar salad with pita and tzatziki sauce was that but their chicken skewers lacked so much flavor. I had to drown the chunks of chicken to give it any type of flavor. Our server was ok; wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. Had to call him over several times for more drinks or water instead of him coming around and checking in on us. To his defense, it was a very busy night. Value wise, Oasis Cafe has better value than Martha's Country Bakery. I would definitely come back for the Napoleon cake. However the three other cakes/desserts we tried are not great. My friends and I stopped by after dinner because the cafe seemed to have a great variety of desserts. The spot doubles as a restaurant with additional seating in the back where you can order entrees. There were so many options for desserts and they all looked so delicious. We ended up grabbing two desserts: the Opera and Fruit Napoleon. Our server was really nice and quickly got our order together. They were both delicious! The Opera was very rich and decadent but not super sweet, which I liked. The Fruit Napoleon was refreshing because of the berries (blackberry and strawberry) and cream. It was flaky and creamy and really delicious! We all shared the two desserts and I feel like it was enough for 4 people with leftovers. I paired my dessert with a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Freddo Espresso, which was strong and really good. It wasn't very sweet but it wasn't bitter either so it paired well with the desserts for balance. Overall, this was a great spot with a good variety of desserts for a decent price. It's a NO for me moving forward. I honestly dont know if there's been a change in management or what, things have definitely gone downhill. I went today to pick up 5 slices of cake and 1 slice of pound cake. The 1 star is for the pound cake it was tolerable. Upon arrival the customer service was HORRIBLE no one acknowledged me, as if the restaurant was crowded in which it wasn't (not a problem). I visited for good cake honestly, and not customer service but let's just say I was not wanted there . The chocolate cake all 3 slices purchased were dry and stale to me, the cheesecake slices also had a funny taste as though they were not freshly baked . Very disappointing, but such is life . I don't know what morons they have working there but I got 40 dollars worth of pastries to go and someone packed a saucy flan just in a large box without any saucer or paper underneath ANY of the pastries and the flan was dry and everything else soaked up the flan sauce and tasted wet.
