Honestly, I expected a better experience at 9Plus KTV. The service was disappointing, and the prices were way too high for what you get. As soon as you walk in you are transported into a cool dark space decorated with neon lights. We booked a medium size room from 4:30pm to 9pm. Any time before 8pm cost $30 and hour and $60 after that. All the room fees can be used for drinks and food so essentially the room is free. We compared this place to a few other karaoke places in Flushing and heard this one has pretty decent food. Of course the food prices are a little higher than your regular restaurant establishments but you're getting the karaoke experience. The food here is actually pretty good. There's a good assortment of items to pick from. The room has a good sound system and you definitely can't hear your next door neighbors. Songs were easy and straightforward to pick. You walk up to a panel and you can pick what you want. Service is quick. If you need anything they come right away when you push a button. We celebrated a friend's birthday and they allow you to bring your own cake. They roll in the cakes on this neon lit up cake stand and go all out. What a fun place ! I came here for a friend's birthday and it was such a great time. The place is super glamorous, clean and spacious. There's a parking lot right in front and they have different size rooms depending on your group size. We were 15 people and had drinks and food. I only tried their chicken wings and they were eh but I was mostly impressed with how nice their kareoke space is. I am not giving 5 stars only because the karaoke song selection machine was in Chinese and a little hard to navigate . We had to tap the staff a couple of times to get songs we wanted. I had my room decorated ($128) and the song list was on a touch screen. It was a great ambience and there was a private restroom. This was the large room. I was worried there wasn't going to be any english songs but there was a good variety of recent songs (ex: sabrina carpenters short n sweet album, APT, etc.). Imo the system was not difficult to use but you did have to keep switching from searching first name (which would be letters) to ABC (which lets you just search normally). I had 160$ food credit with the room and the prices were definitely expensive considering the food quality. If you go beyond your food credit, it's extra. but if you spend 40$ over you can stay an hour longer since the food price is included with the room price. I had the popcorn chicken ($22) and the parm truffle fries ($18), they were both okay. The fried rice serving was not a lot and I was going to order the stir fried noodles but apparently it's the same portion as the fried rice but smaller. Sprite, Cola, and Ginger Ale were all ($6) and water was ($5). I had to keep calling room service for the ipad back to keep ordering. This is just most of the menu below, I did not order any alcohol which would've been in the ($238-$8,888) range. I also brought my own cake and they asked when to serve it and they brought it out on a pedestal with sparkler and candles. There was a small performance that was enjoyable. They also had a cake knife, plates, and forks. The food is pretty decent. The one that stand out are the fries, which tasted and looked a lot like mcdonald fries. service and ambiance is good. I do not like the song selection they have. If you know only chinese songs, you're in luck cause they got every chinese song that exists. But their selection for English songs is a bit lacking save for the popular artists/songs. I can not remember when was the last time I went to a KTV. It must have been over ten years ago while I was visiting Taiwan. While I was in NY, I got the chance to experience it again. This is a very typical KTV place. It gets very busy on weekends so calling ahead and making reservations is strongly recommended. You walk into the "box" and a big screen TV is in the middle of the room. Next to the TV, there is this all computerized system where you get to pick your favorite songs. They got a huge selection of songs from different periods to different languages. Even I get to pick some of my all-time favorites from way back. The sound system is pretty decent, or should I say loud. The food menu is pretty good. We ordered some of our favorite Taiwanese food and they tasted nice. I like how we had a few microphones to pass around. The lightning inside the room we were in was just right where it kinda gave off a intriguing karaoke vibe. The tv was giant and had a screen on the side to select the songs. I loved the whole room and how nice it looked. The couches were confortable and spacious. We ordered from beer and small bites for our group. The fried chicken, French fries and sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious. I didn't not love the spicy wings too much. The only criticism I truly have is the language that the computer is set up to select songs. It is extremely difficult to use since I do not understand the language it is in and we had to keep asking one of the workers to come over to find songs for us. For a karaoke experience to be successful, I want to be able to select my own songs without having to look for a worker to translate. The service is not good, and they are still chasing for tips! The main customers are all Chinese, but they are the most discriminated against Chinese. On a rainy day two weeks ago, our family of four sang here for three hours. During this period, I went to the bakery next door to buy some pastry bread to make breakfast for my son the next day. When I entered the door, the little girl at the counter did not allow me to bring it into the room. I explained and told her that we had ordered food that exceeded the minimum consumption standard, but they still did not allow me to bring my own food into the store. Messed up my reservation and the supervisor blamed it on me. I showed him the messages with the rep as proof but he won't do anything. We ended up having to stick with the wrong room. He also tried to kick us out 15min earlier so make sure to check your arrival time. The pool table in the room is ok but I recommend bringing your own pool cues as theirs were curled. They charge $3 for coke and $5 for water but your room charge can cover for food charges. The VIP rooms are big and have their own bathrooms. They also have good covid preventions. This place is the new gem of KTV! The decor is very edgy and techno feeling. Servers are very nice and they all suit up like body guards.
