Great food and atmosphere. Great service too. Pleasant surprise - their Japanese noodles are fantastic! Wasn't expecting that from this kind of restaurant, but chef nailed it. Easily top three restaurant in Hershey area. James, thanks for letting Mike know. I lived in Japan for three years, so I am a ramen snob; his is better than the local Japanese restaurants! I will definitely be back! read more

Had a great late lunch here on Saturday. My Cobb salad was excellent and the house Chardonnay was actually very good. My date had a shrimp salad that had enormous shrimp in it. Even though there was a wedding reception winding up upstairs, our service was impeccable. read more

Drinks an food and ambiance were very nice. Extensive tap list of local brews and good cocktails. Food was good. I had the tofu curry and my dining companion had the crab cakes. Both were excellent quality the tofu curry was spicy. However restaurant is very over priced and difficult to find. read more

I'm a local, long true Hershey fan and was excited when they first opened up, but honestly this placed was, a still is kinda over-hyped, the food is actually pretty good but a bit over priced, however the drinks are good. The food is seasonal and local when possible which I fully support. The servers are great and the water is cucumber infused, YES! The tofu curry is awesome! They didn't have it when they first opened up, but recently, my mom being a vegetarian, ordered it and I got the veal chops, now I think about it I wish I'd gotten that instead. The apps are great but the artisanal cheese board is load of BS. The cheeses are available at Trader Joes and Whole foods for sure, and it comes out in a small warming tray plate with an inadequate ratio of cheese to crostinis and too many sliced almonds (which are hard to eat by themselves on a cheese plate) and Ocean-Spray Craisins. read more

Stopped at The Mill before a Bears game for drinks and appetizers. It's a really cool space, with several levels... we settled in at the bar "downstairs." I feel like the upstairs dining is more family-friendly while downstairs is more relaxed (i.e., adult). No problem grabbing seats at the bar, and the bartenders were great. They were working very hard (seriously, I sort of felt for them!), but they still remained attentive and personable. We ordered the smoked duck with goat cheese and the calamari as well as a round of beers. Lots of IPAs and porters on draft! The calamari was really the standout. Perfectly cooked and just barely breaded, it was so light. I've been a lot of places where calamari is just ho-hum, fried to death and overcooked to the point it's chewy. Not the case here, so I was super impressed. The remoulade it was served with was a delicious accompaniment, too. I hope to make it back for an actual meal! read more

Fabulous drink menu , amazing menu and very clean . This is my favorite restaurant in Hershey .

Was in the area after a wedding, checked Yelp for a solid breakfast/brunch spot and it seemed by popular opinion this was the place to go. The space is warm and welcoming, high ceilings and a large dining area. I went for the burger - a go to choice when in doubt. If in the area, I'd definitely go back! read more

The Mill is beautifully constructed, striking a nice balance between old and new. The interior is very clean, and the staff is knowledgable and professional. The menu offers a nice variety of fish, chicken, and beef options. Water with cucumber was served with bread. I am not a fan of cucumber and would have liked an option for lemon. The bread was stale. I visited The Mill during lunch with my wife. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side salad. While I am calling it a side salad, the menu actually did not offer side salads; rather, I had to order a dinner salad. I opted for the house vinaigrette over the only other option - blue cheese dressing. The vinaigrette was delicious pairing nicely with the mixed greens, sunflower seeds, apple slices, and skinned smoked cherry tomatoes. While the smoked tomatoes were unique, they were way too potent for the salad. My wife thought that the grilled chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. She really enjoyed her meal. I, on the other hand, found the brisket to be tough and the portion almost non-existent. In addition, the sandwich was made on a greasy rye type bread instead of a grain roll as the menu indicated. Furthermore, there was more horseradish sauce than meat, and the entire sandwich was soggy. The meat flavor was good. The brisket sandwich should be redesigned. Immediately. Both sandwiches came with fries that were very overcooked and not very exciting. Overall, I am giving it 4 stars because of the atmosphere, professional staff, and clear potential; even though it only earned 3.5 stars. While I was not overly impressed, I will give The Mill one more chance. read more

Came here for a bachelorette party dinner.. server said it took so long to get our food because of the tables downstairs but we also had a reservation so that's a poor excuse.. Don't come here for a big party or special event. Took almost 3 hours for a mediocre meal. Chicken was dry. Pasta was nothing special. Took so long to get an entree that I almost forgot that's what we were waiting for. Also thought it was bizarre that they forced us into a limited menu.. I don't know what the difference would be if we were a party of 15 or two tables of 7 or so in terms of producing food. Just shows that the kitchen is not properly trained or equipped for large parties as I have never gone somewhere with a group and been told that we can only have a limited menu. Also wasn't pleased to pay $23 for a pasta dish and have kids from another large party (who didn't seem to have limited menu) running around and carrying on. Everyone who was from the area kept saying how good the food usually was there.. but overall wouldn't come back if I were to ever be in Hershey again.. and it's unfortunate that the dinner set a pretty glum tone for the rest of the night. read more

This place gets five stars for ambience. From the exposed beams, hardwood floors throughout and the brick-work, right away you get a feeling that this place is like no other in the area. I especially love the three separate levels, each with their own bar. An added benefit is the loft off the third floor. Our party of four started off at the third floor bar. The bartender was extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable regarding wine selections. Next we moved to the second floor for our dinner. Our server was very nice and accommodating. My first critique was when our food was brought out. Our food was placed on a stand and then the person left. Our server then came out and noticed our food sitting on the stand and proceeded to serve us. She was not very happy that our food was left unattended and neither were we. Two people in our party ordered steaks. One was ordered medium rare and one was ordered medium. Both steaks came out rare, with the person ordering the medium steak having the rarest one. I ordered the Ahi Tuna bowl. Although the tuna was cooked properly, I found the food to be lacking in flavor without the presence of the chile vinaigrette. I feel the dish should be able to stand on its own without the sauce, the sauce should be an enhancement. Overall I really love this place. I will definitely come back here. I strongly believe these are just the growing pains of a brand-new restaurant. I would recommend this place to others. read more

I grew up just down the street from The Mill, back when the building it's housed in used to be the office for a coal and stone wholesaler. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the building had been completely renovated (still using the original brick and stonework) and turned into a restaurant. Naturally, I had to try it. I wasn't expecting anything special, just a typical American fare style menu. What I got instead was a unique setting, a menu catering to a more refined palate, and outstanding service. A word of warning - if you sit outside, you will be inundated with noise, as the building it directly in front a very busy railroad. Again, I grew up mere blocks from the building, so the noise didn't phase me much, but if you're upset by that sort of thing, you'd do better to dine inside. I ordered The Mill Standard Burger (Half-Pound Certified Angus Beef, Brioche, Bibb, Tomato, Porter Cheddar, Bacon, Dijonaise, BBQ - $12), an order of the House Bacon (a thick cut of chewy bacon with a side of cornbread and a honey glaze - $8). Both were quite good. But the dessert was what really blew me away. I ordered the Campfire Cake, which is a marshmallow sandwiched between two slices of graham shortbread crusted with chocolate hazelnut crunch; on the side were two wedges of what I originally took to be baked apples, but which are something called sour apple gelée, which was so delicious I would have happily ordered just a plate of it for dessert instead. The prices are bit steeper than you're going to get at the standard sit down restaurant, but I think it's worth it. read more

I have been going to The Mill when visiting Hershey park for both summer visits and around Christmas for a few years now. The food is without fail, amazing. Sometimes you eat a meal and it's incredibly clear that whoever created that meal for you truly cares about what they are doing in the kitchen and takes pride in what they are making for you. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. Their drinks are made well and overall I don't think you can beat the quality of this food at their price point. Even if the food was more expensive it would, without a doubt, be well worth every penny. The service is always super friendly and the staff really makes you feel welcome. Overall it's a great restaurant with a great vibe and if you don't drop in when in their area you're making a mistake and missing out. read more

This place has a great ambiance to it. It is very warm and inviting walking in. There are three floors. The main floor has a bar and the lower floor has a bar too. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was attentive and friendly. Water and bread were brought to the table. I ordered the sweetheart signature cocktail and it was sooo delish! I ordered the scallops with cheese grits and pickled squash. I got to say the scallops were done perfectly! The grits were very good as well, but the squash tasted like pure vinegar and the added greens to the plate just seemed like they were an after thought trying to fill the plate. I much rather of not had them on the plate. If you are going to add a vegetable make it a nice one. Asparagus would have been lovely! The clovers on the side of the plate had no business being there either. My friend ordered crab cakes which came with potatoes and once again something that resembled sea weed. Overall the dinner was fantastic with the drinks and atmosphere included. The seafood dinners with one cocktail/ beer a piece was $74.00. I thought the food was worth the price but they should really re-think their vegetable pairing with the meal because that was disappointment. read more

I really wish I liked this place more but really all that can be said is that it is unbelievably average. All dishes lack flavor. They flash fry their calamari so it is soggy and rubbery. The steak was so bland. Love the ambience and service but just truly unimpressed by this place :/ read more

This place is so hit and miss. At times excellent and other times disappointing with food. The one thing they are consistent with is their lack of customer service. When we were there the other night, food was great but refills on drinks were next to impossible and getting anything took forever. Tonight I had a reservation in the dining room and the host told me she could only sit us in the patio. I told her I would go somewhere else then and at that point instead of trying to work with us, my phone alerted me my reservation was cancelled. What really upset us was the people before us didn't have a reservation and she told them to hang out for a few minutes and she should have a table inside for them which they said they didn't care where they sat. The simple solution would of been to give them the patio table reserved for us, that we didn't reserve, and give us the table they were going to have inside for the people without a reservation. The place was dead inside too. Obviously this was too much for the host to handle or she didn't want to since she cancelled our reservation immediately and was not apologetic in any way. Done with this place! read more

This was one of the best meals I have had in Hershey. We ordered appetizers (Bacon and Stuffed Potatoes) and both were delicious. I had a nice salad with an italian dressing - nothing to write home about - but it was fresh and tasty. My guess had the strawberry in puff pastry - said it was nice. We shared an entree - Brisket and Mac & Cheese. Some of the best brisket I have ever had in Pennsylvania. The BBQ sauce was robust and the meat was tender. The Mac & Cheese could have been the star of its own dish it was so good. Plus, the mojitos were some of the best I have had. I look forward to the next time I get to go here. read more

This was our second time visiting The Mill-Hershey. This time for lunch. As usual, the drinks were good. My husband and I both ordered "The Mill Burger". Unfortunately as you can see from my picture my burger came back nearly burnt to a crisp. The char on the burger was so overpowering and what made it worse was I don't think they season the meat patties since neither of our patties had a taste at all. The sauce they spread on is such a thin layer it was hard to notice it. We were sitting in a booth in the lowest level where a new bartender was in extensive training, which made me not want to send the burger back Incase she got in trouble for not noticing how black and crunchy the outside of my patty was. And we would've been more inconvenienced waiting for a new burger since it took us 25 mins to receive the first set. All in all, we like the place they just don't know how to season their food. Which is crazy since the fries had a ton of salt on them! Maybe this is just a place to come for the atmosphere, appetizers and drinks. read more

First impression: The interior is super chic, rustic, very clean and trendy. (Big plus) On this visit decideded to dine at the bar because I was solo and its was the time inbetween lunch and dinner where the restaurant sort of resets between crowds. I was greeted with a super friendly greeting from the host and bartender. The menu was simple yet held many options. I choose the brisket dinner. It was served with mac & cheese and asparagus, both were made very well! For $27 the portion was totally worth it. Not THEE best brisket I've ever had but I'd def order it again and recommend it to others. I had the pleasure of trying the spirits during my visit as well. The long islands were awesome (Thx Christine !!! ). I'll definitely visit again, and update my review. I look forward to bringing family and friends here to see what they think. read more

What a great spot! The ambience is calm and relaxing. They have low lights and trendy furniture. We ordered the calamari and it was very flavorful; full of banana peppers. I loved the crab cakes. Went there tonight for dinner with friend after long day in Hershey's chocolate world . Building is very old but restored. 4 stories, each floor have bar and dinning area. Also outside dinning patio.Server Chad was very pleasant, personable person. Food - mixed experience. Hamburger soup was very good, reach, testy. Could have little more spices. IPA clams -didn't like at all. Little over priced on my opinion - level of the food not up to the price level. Not gonna run back again. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant from the great reviews and atmosphere from the pictures. Atmosphere was definitely nice and the hostess/wait staff were great but the food was mediocre. My kids ordered the chicken tenders and grilled cheese which actually tasted better than the entree I had ordered. We did order the charcuterie board which was great. My husband had ordered a steak which he said was OK, nothing to rave about. I had ordered the scallops in some tomato sauce- which I wasn't thrilled about. Portion sizes were decent, just the flavor was lacking. We also ordered the chocolate cake to share- it was moist but was not a fan of how it tasted, my 2 year old enjoyed it though. This was the first time we tried this place, it could have just been what we had ordered that disappointed us. read more

Justine and Amy are fantastic in the bar! The food is absolutely out of this world! Loved every minute!

Get to the bar early for happy hour and have a few jalepeno margaritas (at half price) to start your visit. Very good! For dinner wife and I both had the scallops and they were delicious but there could have been more for the money. Seems to be common though to give you 4 decent sized scallops in the higher end places today. Especially in a touristy area. Solid 4 stars but can't go to 5. Not sure we'd go back for dinner much but we'd sure be regulars at happy hour! read more

Our daughter frequents The Mill for special dates & night's out & never has a bad thing to say........she absolutely loves it. So, when trying to select a venue in Hershey for my brothers/wives & Dad to celebrate 3 June birthdays, this seemed like the obvious choice. Unfortunately, after this experience, we do not share her enthusiasm. We sat at the bar when first arriving & ordered drinks. The bartender was great & gave us a rundown of the possible food choices for the evening . Went downhill from there. What we loved - our server was pretty good. Bread was different but good (think flat bread/cornbread combo). What needs work - wait time for food (ours was easily 30 minutes+), nothing "wowed" our party of 8 w/our food choices (many were lukewarm to cold, mashed potatoes were runny, couscous was over cooked & pasty, etc), value for price (I ordered scallops, which tasted good, expecting 6-8 since the dish was $32. Instead was served 3, 1/2 dollar sized scallops over a mushy, pasty bed of couscous), Was asked specifically if we were celebrating any occasions but nothing else was offered or done for our celebration. Decided to give one last try and ordered dessert. Honestly, smallest brownie sundae I have had in a restaurant. So, would I go back again for another try? I guess everyone deserves a second chance. read more

Overpriced and the food was just okay. And thr portion was small. You can get better food with what you paid for.

One of my favorite finds while in the road. The restored building is beautiful and cozy. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and where it is sourced. I ordered a couple of small plates and the food was perfectly executed. A couple simple classic plates are turned up a notch on the flavor wheel.
