Axes, Ales, Lagers, and Bears, Oh My... Who would have thought that drinking beer and throwing axes go together? Not this guy. I was curious to check things out though. Perhaps the creative, comedian, actor, Mike Myers was onto something in 1993 with the film "So I Married an Axe Murderer." Don't know the name Mike Myers? He is also the actor and creator of Austin Powers. Speaking of setting the mood, "Baby." The Mighty Axe is a great, low-key vibe with an outdoor, gas fire pit in the front, making you feel at home. Or someone else's house, hanging out in the backyard. You'll never have to wait long for a fresh pint of beer, as the bar is never excessively crowded. You won't break the bank either, prices are reasonable, and service is friendly. It has small-town, blue-collar, vibes, that mike you feel welcomed. We saw the staffing running in and out of the place, picking up food for patrons that were having fun in the Axe throwing area / lanes. These guys really hustle to make sure you're having a good time, well hydrated, and nourished. In the far back of the place is also a section of video games, for those not confident in their abilities to juggle blades and brews. While we didn't participate in any Axe throwing, it was nice to hang out in the front, next to the fire pit and enjoy a few cold brews. The selection of local beverages from Seaward Brewing and with names like Ventura HIghWey make it fun to order and support local businesses. It's a win-win-win situation at the Mighty Axe.

Ryan was the absolute best. I stopped by with my amiga just to grab a kombucha. Service is quick . You can order food from Pizza Man Dan's or Luna Grill and they'll walk it over to you ! Good crowd ! Real fireplace and also electric fireplace for the cool vibes. Too much of a scaredy cat to try the axe throwing . Too much Final Destination movie PTSD for me ;/ They also have happy hour!!!

Haley was so great from the introduction to safety rules and how to play the game ... what a great place, Ryan was very cool and provided the drinks. I'm happy they had a Heineken 0.0 to drink also .. Great fun , we really enjoyed it. First time here and we will be back .

My first time axe throwing and I'm addicted ! Wanted to try something new with my teen girls and even brought along the baby in the stroller. Reservations online were pretty simple. Parking was a challenge due to the mail area being packed. Make sure you plan to come early. I loved that the axe company has an axe coach that takes the time to teach you how to throw. Four of us played for one hour and we were able to play two games at a rate of two throws per each turn. Next time I would throw for two hours instead. There is no food but beer and hard kombucha etc with lots of variety.

Such a fun place to hang out and let loose! There's a bar in front from which you don't necessarily have to play. You can chill in front of the bar and patio area. If you decide to play, you'll pay and sign a waiver. Kids definitely can hang out back too no matter their age, however, must be 10 years old in order to play. They have multiple games to pick from. As this was our first time, we were just trying to get the hang of it. Prior to beginning your game, there's axe master's (can't remember the term) but they help you out and guide you. Super helpful! Games are by the hour and per person at $35

Came here to start off my Bachelor party! Grant greeted us with a friendly smile when we walked in and explained how the whole check-in process works. He was thorough in explaining how to properly throw an axe and how to set up the games for all us newbies. Dustin was working behind the bar and served us while we were playing. The food was promptly delivered and was good (for bar food) and they had a good selection of beer. We had a great time and the one hour we opted for went by super quick. If we had the time, we might have opted to play longer. I highly recommend trying out axe throwing here if you're looking for something different to do. read more

We paid and set up in no time (and forgot her name) and the AXEpert was ready to help us because it was all of our first time. Went on a Monday night, not too busy but my friend and I had a fun time! Ray was the one who checked us in and guided us how to throw the axe. It was my 2nd time throwing axes , it need some practice but overall, the employees were really nice and the DJ! He played really great music. Do wish he was moved in the front instead of being in the back by the games. read more

First timer! I've always heard of axe throwing but have never had the time to get around it. Came with a group of friends and it was such a blast! Charlie was our instructor and he was very friendly from the moment we walked in. He was simple and waited for us to all at least get a hit before beginning which I thought was very kind. There is plenty of choices to put on the board as targets, you can even put a face of someone! Lol the pizza was very delicious and so were the mozzarella sticks! Drinks by Matt were also very good! Bathroom was very clean and all gender friendly. Most definitely recommend this place for friends, or even a first date! Nothing bad to say about this place and most definitely will be coming back! read more

Decided to do a last minute Axe Throwing event on a Friday night and was able to get a reservation no problem! JT & Grant were awesome in setting us up and telling us the safety rules for throwing. I hear of this place every summer but never had the chance til this week. What a great place for kids to enjoy water play. But actually for the entire family too! We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

Mary is a great Aqua Fitness instructor and her classes are always packed with about 50 people per class. She is very knowledgeable, gives excellent queuing, and provides modifications for various levels, even for those of us who need more of a challenge. I have been able to get my heart rate up, get resistance, core & flexibility training here. I've noticed significant improvements in my overall fitness and physique. The pools & facilities are clean and in great condition. Water temperature is about 78 degrees and they have multiple pools to accommodate lap swimming, classes, and a kid's pool. The restrooms are pretty clean, contain 3 private shower stalls, multiple open showers, and a machine to wring out your bathing suit which is a plus. I hope to be back next summe

Only way to access it is by taking Victoria all the way to the end with a sharp right onto San Nicholas before Victoria turns into Roosevelt and there's a small public parking lot at the end on the left. There are bathrooms which are pretty nice for public beach bathrooms and the beach is so nice here! Sand is clean, beach is wide... If the lot is full you can try to find parking on San Nicholas or on Ocean where there are several little beach access points between the homes... Also if you drive all the way down ocean, at the very end, at the last house there's a hidden road that looks like a private driveway but it's not, turn right, it's long and tight, and it will take you to another small beach parking lot!! A hidden gem! There's even a public bathroom out on the sand, a bit of a walk from the lot and very clean! Highly recommend!
