SERVICE: Fella's at the front door were fine. It's 21+ so bring your ID of course. Our waitress (no clue of her name) was super cool and helpful. White female with tats, I think shaved side, and about 5'7...if this helps. Either way, again, very attentive. She brought me a box for my food, kept checking in, just good service. ENTERTAINMENT: It's a bar that has been remodeled. I never seen it in the past as this was my first time at Q Club. What I hear is that it's better because the bar is now accessible all the way around. There are tons of tv's all along the walls (no volume). There too is a good DJ jamming away. I do appreciate their range of music from hiphop, reggie, etc. to satisfy the varied crowd. However, it sucked after a while because I don't like that much reggie LOL. So I sat and waited for the next genre to roll through. All good, personal problem. Oh, there was a jinga game set up on a table, if you care. VENUE: Like I said, it's a bar. Not upscale nor below, but right in the middle. I appreciate the enclosed, outdoor space located in the back. Though built for smokers, it's still nice to have a spot to run off too if you need some air, private conversation, etc. Place could use some new chairs, etc. but hey, one thing at a time right. Can't fault them for those little things. Hope they gather enough funding to complete additional repairs. I was actually surprised with how clean the bathroom was, I mean, for it being a bar. I was shocked! Parking is free and in a small/moderate size lot. Not sure what we would do if the spot were packed. Overall, this is a cool spot to hang out at after hours. Note, we arrived around 9pm on a Saturday. Crowd seemed cool and respectable to each group in the space. Oh, and I appreciated the variety of ages 30-70! FOOD: It was ok tasting - not horrible, not amazing, just fine. We had coconut shrimp and regular fried shrimp with fries. Margarita's were basic bar drinks so nothing special about them. The entire bill was about $60 (food + 3 drinks). WELL: I will definitely return. I hear they have karaoke on Mondays. Maybe I'll see ya'll there. read more

Overall not bad, the service was good parking was not an issue and it appears to to have the potential to be a fun spot. I went to shoot some pool and we did not have a problem getting a table. The price seems reasonable I really don't know given I have not paid to shoot pool in a while. The people seemed nice and there were a lot of people hanging out. I would not say this is a spot for eye candy but there were plenty of local women. Yes I would recommend for some pool and beverages. I do plan on visiting again when in town. read more

Great place for food. Get the shrimp tacos with their hot salsa, can't be beat. Gets crowded late on weekend nights so be prepared.

I've recently re-discovered this spot and am so glad I did! The food is perfect when that late night craving hits and I've had weeks where I'll order the popper taco days in a row! we was charged for a the Nunez and Peña fight, we went to the club just to catch it so it was fine 15.00 a head. As we walked in we found a table and was told that server would be with us shortly. 20MINUTES later the came to charge us for the fight and give us wrist bands which was put on to tight and when was asked to get a new band bc it was uncomfortable out on by the waiter. she said she had to ask her manger. we also asked for waters which we never got. We got tired of waiting and order 3x liquid marijuana from the bar. they was not good at all and when brought to the attention of the bartender they made us different drinks Which we assumed took the place of the poorly made drinks. nope they charged us for drinks we only tasted. i would not be going back here unless it's Just to shoot pool. read more

Today we went in to have drinks, hear some music and play pool. 6pm on a Saturday and NO ONE is there except 2 guys watching the fight. So we ask to play music and they say no because the fight is playing. Even though there's TWO guys here. We usually pay a hefty tab and tip well so that was a complete buzz kill and sucked. Every time we come here, that's what it's like. No music, maybe 7 people in the bar, dirty, dark and boring. Never changes. Definitely don't waste your time here. Unfortunately today I didn't have a good experience. Our server was super distracted. (I realize it was a Dodgers game but still...) He took our order, repeated back to us, and only came back with half of it. Once we got the bill we noticed he never put in the rest of our order ‍. We tried to get his attention a couple of times. Last night my husband and I dined at Q Club and we will not be returning. We were traveling and staying in Oxnard overnight and wanted to watch UFC fight night. We found Q Club through the UFC Bar Locator tool and we took an Uber from our hotel with the intention of having a date night and drinks. My husband called in advance to confirm they were showing the pay-per-view event and the gal that answered the phone was less than enthusiastic, almost rude. My husband was ready to call another bar but I convinced him we should go to Q Club due to the proximity to our hotel. We arrived early around 5:15pm and the place was nearly empty. There are several TVs and plenty of seating options throughout the lounge. We seated ourselves and it was not long before our waitress, Sarah, greeted us and took our drink order. We ordered several items off the menu as well as beer and mixed drinks. Throughout our visit, Sarah was very attentive and provided us great service. Around 6:15pm, a big guy came to our table and asked if we were staying for the fights and when we told him we were, he asked us to pay a $10 per person cover charge. I know it's not uncommon to charge a cover for pay-per-view events, however, it seemed intrusive to have staff demand a cover when we had been there for an hour, were not advised of a cover charge at arrival and had already ordered over $50 worth of food and drinks. I would suggest in the future they start charging covers earlier or at least have the waitresses advise guests that a cover charge will be assessed later in the evening. We ordered onion rings, taquitos, bacon wrapped shrimp, and DUI nachos. The food was reasonably priced. It was good but not great. In reading some of the other Yelp reviews, I wish we had ordered the wings, tacos, and ceviche instead. The DUI nachos were cold upon arrive. We figured the kitchen probably made that item first and everything else afterwards. It was a generous helping of fries topped with steak but unfortunately it was cold. The drinks were good. My husband ordered two beers and I had the Mango Paleta mixed drink which was great. I ordered a watermelon mixed drink but didn't enjoy it as much as the Mango Paleta. This, of course, is just a matter of preference. The most unfortunate aspect of our experience was the bartender. From the moment we arrived, we noticed her cussing like a sailor behind the counter, dropping f-bombs like they were going out of style. We weren't even seated at the bar but she was so loud that we could hear her from where we were sitting and over the noise of the TVs. Now I know this is a 21 and over sports lounge and I don't expect Mary Poppins behind the counter but her demeanor was outright crude. I don't know her name but she had long hair divided into two braids. Her behavior even caught the attention of the guests at the table next to us because they asked us if we could hear her and I was like, yes! The final straw was later in the evening when I saw her take a bottle of whipped cream and dispense it directly in her mouth. She did this several times in full view of customers and it grossed me out. Even though I wanted to order a strawberry daiquiri, I decided against it because I didn't want any drink topped with whipped cream after seeing her eat whipped cream directly from the can. At one point she even can-fed whipped cream to the other bartender, a guy with a mohawk. Her cussing and overall behavior was very distracting and really ruined our experience. I was so over it that we didn't even stay for the main fight and even though we probably would have spent twice as much, I decided we had spent enough time and money by that point. Q Club has a lot of potential and is a good space. Unfortunately, for us it just fell flat. read more

Went on a Sunday evening. Decent full sized pool tables and one bar sized Diamond pool table (that was out of order). The full sized tables are rented hourly at $12 per hour but the small table was a coin operated one. There was only one bartender that was taking care of the whole place so the service was super slow. Food was typical and edible bar food. Loved that they had lots of TV with different channels setup in the main sitting area. Nice and cozy smoking area in the back. They have an extensive list of sports team attires that they do not allow here. I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area. read more

Although this review has the same amount of stars as my previous review, I wanted to write an update to inform everyone that this place hasn't depreciated it's quality as a prime sports bar. Since my last review I've visited this place a handful of times and never has it let me down. The owners, Jose and Aaron, are determined in maintaining a jovial atmosphere for patrons to enjoy some good beer, a nice pool game, and quality pub food. The Q Club is one of the few places in Ventura County where you can watch a boxing or UFC match, or a football or basketball game with a friendly congregation of fellow sports connoisseurs. Moreover, the bartenders are beyond friendly and amicable. More importantly, they have one of the best happy hours in town that extends into the weekend! Can't beat that! read more

QCLUB Nice local billiards bar that's why I gave it a three stars I should've gave it one because I asked for Coors light draft gave me a stout IPA I still like it just wasn't what I ordered and the service was mighty slow I ordered a drink it took about 15 minutes to get my drink which was wrong and then to get my license back after playing pool also took quite a bit of time maybe they were understaffed or overworked. However the staff was very friendly it was a great atmosphere I go again except for this time I want the right drink and I would like it a little sooner. So I'm giving this bar a one star because the last two times I've visited the same bartender was working-Jazmin. I went to the bar alone the first time and she walks right up and all she said is "what did you want to drink" and then I tried to ask how her day was but she walked away too quick and only EVER came over long after my beer was done to ask if I wanted another. there was only a handful of other guys there and she ignored me the ENTIRE time. I watched her give them A+ service while I sat alone at the bar just staring at the wall just staring at the wall... so I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. But no. I went again tonight and this time the service was even WORSE! It was not busy. But a lot of seats at the bar were taken. She constantly walked to the guys next to me to ask if they were ok and asked about their day and then to tell them happy hour was gunna end if they wanted another drink. All while ignoring the fact me and my friend had empty drinks... and any time she wasn't talking to the guys she was behind the bar chatting and laughing with another girl who walked in for work. I sat there for 8 minutes waiting for her to finish talking so I could have a beer. And just decided to leave and go to another bar Instead. I mean if she wants to spend her whole shift talking at least make sure EVErYONE has a drink. I was empty. I would recommend you do the same and leave - not waste your time IF she is working. (Can't speak for the other bartenders) If you want good service and friendly conversation go to the Thirsty OX down the street-their bartenders were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable drinking at a bar alone. Not to mention they actually deserved their tip. PS- as a prior bartender - majority of the time FEMALES are the best and most consistent tippers. Reminds me of an upscale dive bar with delicious food great service! Different types of seating from large booths, tall tables, bar seating... Large TVs with multiple games on. Our bartender was Carla, and was literally the reason I came in. When I called to ask about happy hour, she was very happy to tell me about their food specials as well as daily. So now onto the food- there wasn't a thing that I tried that I didn't love. We had the fish and chip special, potato skins, Mexican churros, as well as a traditional margarita.
