What they have on tap changes out but I've always been able to find one I like . Staff is super friendly and helpful in helping to figure out what's good. They have tvs and seatings to enjoy your drinks with some entertainment on . There's outdoor tables as well.

Great little beer bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great customer service, Carla is the best! So funny and upbeat she really is a joy. Small menu of great beers. This place is a must try.

Haha so these people bent my actual, real state-issued ID in half so it is no longer usable bc they took a "pro class on ID reading" So now I have to pay to get a new ID. didn't even offer to help me out. This is a true story guys. I'm so shook Would give 0 stars but I had to give one to share my story lol. Rip in peace my money and my ID

Stopped in for a few after meal beers with a friend. Seating was pretty open, more of a com and get it kinda place, but still had some good beers there.

Great beer! Very nice service and quite relaxing vibe the only cons is sitting outside is really chill right now. Taco beside was delicious too.

This older women came out screaming at customers. I don't recommend. The bar at pizza man Dan's has better service.

Good selection of beer. Service can be improved. They do not let people have tasters.

The axe throwing itself is $35 per person but it is worth it if you are looking for a fun activity or destressor (lol). If you opt out from axe throwing they have other options like card/ board games as well. Side note: They don't have food vendors but there's lots of wonderful food options around the area walking distance. In regards to the drinks, every beer/ alcoholic drink they carry is intentional and they rotate based off season. Every time I've came I've had a wonderful and welcoming experience with the help of Ryan, Marshall, and Mariah. Definitely recommend!

It was a slow night for them. As we arrived at the bar to check in and I have to say that there was not much joy in are presence. My husband presented the Groupon and she immediately said, "Yeah, were not taking those anymore" and mentioned the manager or owners name. My husband immediately showed her that the Groupon had not expired yet. She fiddled looking in the computer and eventually allowed us to sign the waiver and Ray led us to our lane. Listen, if the place was super busy and they were swamped, I could see why they would be bothered by a Groupon hassle. But that was NOT the case and the fact of the matter is, they did not apologize for doubting the validity of the Groupon. It was more like we were an annoyance that we came in at all. Didn't ask us if we wanted something to drink. Ray was excellent at his presentation and instruction, but we were the only people throwing at the time and I was having issues with even hitting the board with the metal part of the axe. Just a helpful hint for the throwers, you will have to get someone back over there by asking if you need anymore help. They are not going to volunteer to help you again. All and all it is a fun environment, but I doubt we will be going back anytime soon. You want to spend money in an establishment that wants you there. Not one that acts like you just pissed in their Cheerios by showing up. Fun place to try, but frustrating if you can't throw the axe correctly to make it stick to the wall.

We expect a certain standard, a level of care that borders on obsession. So when I catch Evan Williams--respectable, questionable, but barely twelve bucks a bottle--making an appearance behind the bar, it feels like a breach of trust. A quiet betrayal under low lighting. The illusion only works if the details hold up under scrutiny... and that pour? It broke the spell. And then comes the real offense: discovering that your Old Fashioned--the crown jewel of any respectable cocktail program--are built on bottom-shelf, dust-collecting bourbon. That's not just a letdown, it's a slap in the face. A cocktail like that deserves reverence, not shortcuts. And as if to twist the knife, there it was--a massive can of red maraschino cherries sitting shamelessly atop the bar, like some relic from a dive that's given up on finesse. It wasn't just a misstep. It was disrespect. In a place claiming the speakeasy mantle, details like these matter. They're the difference between theater and parody. The cocktails did not warrant the $15 price tag. Moreover, I would have paid more had I know the class of bourbon upfront. What ultimately redeems the space is its ambiance. The low flicker of the fireplace, the soft embrace of worn leather sofas, the curated hum of music floating just above conversation--it's seductive, even soulful. The room itself is small, intimate--the kind of place where you're bound to recognize a face, or at the very least, feel inclined to invite a stranger to share the sofa and maybe a story. And then there's the setting--tucked beneath a historic relic, a basement bar built into the bones of old Americana. The building dates back to the early 1900s, echoing with a past that deserves to be honored, not phoned in. That's exactly why I expected more from the cocktails. A place with this much atmosphere shouldn't fall flat when it comes to what's in the glass. It's a mismatch--a beautiful stage, but a script that doesn't quite rise to meet it.

I came on Sun. afternoon, and it was super quiet and chill. I got their unique Shakerato- a shaken espresso served in a sleek martini glass. The shakerato was so good and elegantly presented. Pastries are from Cafe Ficelle. The lead barista is of the school that takes pride in crafting each drink and not letting the machine automatically do all the work. The brother sister owners bring their culinary wine and beer experience to their cafe, but they invested into learning about coffee. Sips uses Beacon roasters who actually train cafe baristas on how to produce the best shots using their beans, so it's a true coffee collaboration. The cafe vibe is bright, airy and cozy. The owner was there and we chatted for awhile- he said they are ultimately happy to be a neighborhood local cafe- they're not trying to be Starbucks and be super high volume. They want to serve the East end of Ventura, which does not have a lot of mom/pop style cafes and restaurants.
