I've been here a couple of times now and I got to see both their taprooms. They have a main taproom that is sometimes reserved for special events so you would just have to go two doors down to the smaller taproom. The decor in the smaller taproom is awesome. Thanks to the lady that gave our dogs treats. We don't live in the area but we will definitely stop by again for the beer. The beer was amazing and all the staff are great.

My partner and I enjoyed coming here. I believe we came here like 5-7 years ago. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I like to try the non beer options, like the seltzer and barley wine. My partner got the chocolate starfish and commented that it is rich and chocolate, a little bitter. I loved the decor and vibe and if I was around more I'd come more frequently.

Happy 10th! I remember first trying this spot when it was a tiny brewery next door! Happy it's grown! Great customer service! Great beer! Support local !

Can't believe I haven't written a review for Poseidon. It's a nice and fun place to go too. Especially if there's an event going on. I primarily go when there's events and I will say it gets pretty busy. Plenty of space even though at times it might not feel that way. Haha. During events they even block off their back area and set up tables which is nice. Plenty of space back there for my little one to walk and run. They don't have food. They do have food trucks from time to time. You would just need to see their schedule/instagram account if they have someone. They have food vendors when they do events which is why I primarily go then. I would say there's plenty of parking. They are in an industrial part. You might just have to walk a bit. Now about their beer. I drink IPAs. I believe I have had all of them. They are very delicious. Grapefruit is my favorite. Like how they have a variety of different kinds to choose from though. Their Oktoberfest one was really good. Loved the boot. Overall, I come about once a month sometimes more. My family and I have enjoyed coming. We will continue to go.

Poseidon Brewing is located in Ventura on Olivas Park Dr & Bunsen Ave. It's a Brewery owned by a couple, Bryan & Vinita. I've met Vinita, such a sweetheart, just lover her positive energy. Thank you Vinita for being super friendly, very knowledgeable & having the greatest bubbly attitude. Staff are welcoming, Friendly & knowledgeable. I had no idea what to order, but they help you out with recommendations based on your likes. If you're into mermaids, you will appreciate the aesthetics of the place. It's a great sized space to get together with a few friends or several. They don't offer food here but do have food vendors on certain days/nights, so just check their event calendar online or check out their IG or FB. There's also occasional live music, weekly Trivia Wednesdays, monthly Paint-n-Pint classes, holiday festivities & Poseidon beer and cask releases. I recently had a Beer Flight of 4: Pufferfish Pils Washed Ashore Bubblehead Blood Dive Dive Dive! My two favorites out of the four: Washed Ashore had hints of watermelon which made it taste light for a Blonde Ale with 6.2% ABV Bubblehead Blood Orange Pale Ale had a citrus taste to it that was refreshing for a Pale Ale with 5.6% ABV Nonalcoholic Beverages are also available here too. I just realized they have a rotating tap of sparkling water. Will definitely check that out next time.

Literally the sweetest staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Came here for Wednesday night trivia. They are pet friendly and had a yummy Korean truck. The beer is so good. Love dive dive ipa!!

*disclaimer, I did not order beer * Came here for a work event and it was enjoyable. Looked to be two parts of the brewery but it's seemed a bit small and stuff given the amount of people we had. There were a few tables at entry, the the bar which has a slim walkway, and the back that had a few more tables that led to the alleyway. They provided us cornhole which was fun to play with the group. If you go as a group, recommend no more than 4-6. Con was that part of area was next to the dumpster and sometimes the winds cause it to draft in. They did have a pizza food truck that was outside and I wish I remembered the name because it was SO GOOD! Overall, I wouldn't go by myself but I'd go as a group.

What a gem. Not only it's hidden but the beer is very good. Vibes were definitely amazing. Service was on point and it does not get any better. Place is clean and has a very homie vibes.

If you like craft beer, come check this place out. They have a good variety on tap and they also offer canned beer for take out. The indoor area is very spacious with lots of tables and bar seating. I had the Pokers Porter and Crashing waves IPA, both were very good. I'm sure you'll find something you like because they have a good selection. The indoor area is clean with a nice ocean themed decor. The staff were all helpful and attentive, and service was great! Come by to relax and have a beer or two!

My first time trying the watermelon. Yummy!

Fruity pants!!! Yummy yummy in my tummy. Again the staff makes this place smile all day long. Love the service and changing of beers. Relaxing place. Couch is always a plus to melt into. Trivia Wednesday's and fun live music other nights. Food truck feeds the belly. Gios was here tonight. The quesadilla hit the spot

Awesome beer and theme! Loved the sea related stuff. I had the red ale and it is one of the best ones I've had since moving to the west coast. The food truck was great even though it wasn't theirs. Everyone was really friendly. Kind of a weird location, I followed GPS and almost stopped to turn around because it takes you to some kind of commercial warehouse neighborhood but you'll make it I promise!

Surprised it took me so long to discover this business. Especially since I love craft beer. As luck would have it, a musician I follow posted a gig here on a recent Saturday afternoon. I popped in to catch his set and of course quenched my thirst. Poseidon Brewery delivered on all fronts. Beautiful modern facility, excellent craft brew selection, knowledgeable staff and a nicely laid out venue to catch live music when hosted. To quote Arnold "I'll be back."

Great Yelp Event! Thank you for hosting this wonderful evening

The loft is the perfect place to grab a cold one and watch the sunset. We tried their Hazy IPA and a seltzer--both were amazingly crafted and left us wanting another. We didn't get any food this time, but everything we saw others order looked delicious. They have a pizza place they share space with, there were some really good looking pizzas being ordered. The entire bar has a rustic and nostalgic feel, with charming décor inside and out. They offer free parking in their lot, though it is limited. I highly recommend checking out Transmission Brewery--you won't be disappointed.

Note- the upstairs seating is 21+ , but kids allowed downstairs. The summer selection was top notch! Went with a flight - Blood Orange mule, Sal BuenaLimetura, Hardchata, and Sweet T The names accurately match the flavor profile. If you get a chance to visit when Sweet T Is on the menu, that one is a fan favorite! Our group all loved it. Plus Toppers Pizza Is right next door/shared space- so quality pizza and quality beer all in one stop!

The Topa Topa on Thompson is my personal favorite location. All of them are great, and each one…read morecarries that welcoming, familiar energy, but the downtown spot just feels different. No matter which Topa you walk into, you see familiar faces. There is a real sense of family there, and I would hate to lose that. The Thompson location specifically feels like home. When I lost someone very near and dear to me, Topa became a place where I could breathe again. On the worst days, walking through those doors made things feel just a little lighter. Sometimes it felt like I was holding my breath all day until I got there. There is a steady comfort in that space. Mama mia, that kind of place is rare. I have definitely "invested" ;) my fair share into the pool table and the pinball machine. Trivia nights with the awesome host, the food pop ups, Nicks Smash Burgers and Ramos Tacos are the best. Being introduced to new bands and almost always leaving a live show with a vinyl or CD by the end of their set. It truly is a community. Supporting local artists and seeing the same people show up for each other over and over again is part of what makes it special. And the beer is unreal. I was never much of a beer person, but a few years ago they pulled me in with Moo Bae then the Althlone Ranger, and then the 4 and 20. My current favorite is The Tux. Every time I go in, that is what I get. I loved when they had more dark beers too. Topa Topa opened the door for me into the craft beer world without ever feeling intimidating. Once you find a place where you feel appreciated and respected, where you feel known, you do not want to lose that. A huge part of that for me is seeing my regular beer tenders, Mike, Lea, Marie, and Zion. They are part of what makes walking through those doors feel like coming home. The Thompson location is that kind of place. Really messed up what you did. EDIT- This is nothing against the newer employees of Topa, but has everything to do with corporate. What were you thinking getting rid of 15% of your staff? The people that have helped build the foundation of your brand. The people that build the individual personalities of each taproom. The people that we have gotten to know and they've gotten to know us. Like I said before Topa is a family. I get that the craft beer scene is getting smaller but getting rid of family is so dumb. Your regulars have developed a relationship with these people. It's so disheartening to go now. When we go we aren't greeted by these friendly faces that know us. You'd think you'd focus more on your regulars you know the people that actually spend money here rather than the "next generation". Like I said, this has nothing to do with the new workers. They're nice. But the people we've developed relationships could NEVER be replaced. The lovers of topa topa do not like this. And I've already seen on Reddit people are saying they aren't going back.

I usually order a flight so I can try a few different things, especially their special release beers. Two favorites I've loved during special releases are the Ojai Pixie Citrus IPA and Harvest Swoon Sangria-Style Sour. Both are super flavorful without being overwhelming. Their hard seltzers are also a great option when I'm in the mood for something lighter. The Ojai location has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and shares the space with Little Sama, which makes it an easy place to hang out. They also host community events like trivia nights on Tuesdays, which adds to the fun. A great spot whether you're really into craft beer or just enjoy a casual drink in a laid-back Ojai setting.
