No food here, all ciders. The service is very good. The ambiance is simple. I love the sample tasting, and I left with everything I tried.

What an experience thanks to the owner Blake! We appreciate the time he took to sit down with us for a tasting! He went through what makes a wine vs a cider! He spoke about his business and experiences and walked us through each of the cider he had, including two on tap! The ciders were great if you don't like those super sweet ciders you find in the stores! He also had some unique ciders: one that would make a good spicy mule and another one which was for the holidays! The holiday cider was super tart with cranberries! Great with a nice meal: especially a turkey! They also had a wine cider in a can. We stumbled across this place due to their beautiful website! We were also directed to their tasting room thanks to the local brewery sparks around the corner which carries two of their ciders! You can find their ciders throughout Ventura county! Within Simi valley you can find their ciders at Green Acres. Otherwise you can order their ciders through their website or pick up some at their tasting room! Note if stopping in for a taste, call first to see if they are available! Limited space but the owner will surely make the time for you if available! And definitely worth the experience of having an individual tasting with the owner or a member of his team!

Obsessed with this cute little local cidery!!! The staff is so sweet and the vibe is very Ventura. I did a full tasting with my boyfriend and every single cider was great. The gateway tasted like an amazing apple juice, the hibiscus was 10/10. Unique but definitely made you feeling good. My favorite though was the imperial cascade (I am a beer girl). I literally could drink this all summer. Can't wait for their upcoming expansion and to come back!!! Easy parking and location off market st.

My wife loves cider, I often have a neutral reaction to cider. We were taking a day off in Ventura and I wanted her to have something she loved. The ciders here are by far the best across the board I've ever had. Amazing. We did the tasting, and the two proprietors were fun and helpful. We also like that they donate to charities and witnesses that day them giving cider to the firefighters who were hard at work that day. Their tasting room is where they make the cider and it's in an industrial complex but it has plenty of personality. It was a great, and fun, way to spend some time and to taste some very artistically creative ciders.

Excellent cider and great staff! Very generous during the tasting with just the amount of explanation. My favorite was the Ginger Mule and Winter Mash. It's easy to miss since it's in an industrial area, but once inside it's comfortable but simple.

We stopped in to check out this new place to us and found out that this establishment has been open for approximately 12 years as a winery. And several years ago they got into making ciders! This place is primarily a winery with a spin off of a cidery where they feature approximately 5 ciders on tap. Plus they have ciders in bottles that you can take away. They had one apple cider and several other flavors. As I am a traditionalist when it comes to cider, I stick to the apple cider! It was good but definitely on the sweeter side! I prefer dry ciders! Ciders cost 11 dollars a glass. They have take away bottles of ciders too! Nice item to take to the beach! If you are not a cider fan or prefer wine, they have an extensive menu of wine! The winery/cidery does have a comfy location to kick back within a small space! They have nice comfy seats plus larger communal tables! They also have a venue space where they have their wine barrels! Looks like a nice space to do an event! We appreciate the great hospitality! Thanks Tyler for the intro to this establishment!

The location itself is nice - it's beautifully decorated with plenty of seating options. They had live music while we were there, which was super fun. We sat far enough away that we could still hold a conversation while listening to the music. They also offer food items, such as pizza and charcuterie, which is a plus - always nice to have food while doing a tasting. They offer flight options of five ciders. They explained that the first cider in the flight (I believe it was the sour apple) was the base for all their ciders. The problem was that I didn't like that first cider at all, so it was a lost cause for all the other ciders on the flight as well. It sounds like other people really like their cider, but for me, this one was a loss. They're also part of Four Brix Winery, so if you're not a cider fan, you can also order a glass of wine or try their wine flight. Overall, it was a nice experience between the music and time spent with friends, but I wouldn't return because I wasn't a fan of their ciders.

It was my first time trying mead and she was so patient with giving us samples and suggestions. We tried a couple of the ciders and mead and she recommended we try the honey pineapple slush (pineapple paradise slush)!! It was so good and refreshing, had the perfect balance of sweetness and honey without being too overpowering. The other ciders and mead were great as well, literally can't go wrong and really appreciate that they let you sample different ones! We loved the sun or a beach and pineapple paradise! From the first sip, everything tasted fresh, clean, and really well balanced. Not overly sweet at all, just super smooth and easy to enjoy. And the cider? So good. I came in not expecting much and left a total fan. This was our unexpected hidden gem find on an otherwise hop-forward brewery tour of the area... don't miss out!

Back Patio Cellars feels like you've just meandered into Frank & Jen's backyard, and they invite you to stay awhile to try some cider/wine. This is definitely their passion project, and it shows in how they talk about their ciders/wine and enjoy sharing with people. It's located in a business park where they have what seems like a traditional tasting room with a few tables, a "living room" with comfortable seats and a couch surrounded by their barrels, and a "patio" outside with covered seating. We opted for a cider tasting, and as someone who was a little wary, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was so excited to hear that their style is on the drier side. These hard ciders are dangerously good... refreshing, delicately flavored, and you wouldn't even know that they're packed with a high ABV. We tried the Apple, Black Berry Pie, Golden Kiwi, Guava, Blood Orange, and Key Lime. My favorite was the guava and my SO's was the Black Berry Pie. These are perfect for warm weather, and you can even take cans or growlers to go! As for food, there are some snacks available for purchase, and folks are welcome to bring their own snacks (uh, charcuterie plate, anyone?) except when there's a food truck. Jen mentioned that they don't have a cider club just yet, but they do have a wine club. We're definitely planning on coming back for a wine tasting very soon, see ya there!

Beer tasting flight: $20…read more This was only our second visit to Rincon Mountain's tasting room, but the experience was just as wonderful as the first time. This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

The family vibe of Rincon is so beautiful. The staff are all so lovely. We LOVED the wine...which is absolutely incredible. We'll never not get the Dusty Vinyl and Tempranillo. Both are so bold and complicated while also being so easy. We became members on our first visit and have enjoyed every shipment and subsequent visit. We haven't been able to make it up to the mountain yet but cannot wait. Also the empanadas you can order are delicious and the vinyl that's always spinning at the room sets such a lovely ambiance. Being in an industrial area you expect a low level ambiance but it is incredible. The wine bar in the front vs the room in the back offer something for everyone.
