Huge, beautiful space on the avenue! We did the wine tasting with 5 (generous) pours - my absolute favorite was the 'you got this' Riesling. It was surprisingly not sweet and very crisp and refreshing. Second favorite was the 'kook old vine Zinfandel'. Staff was friendly and they have snacks available for purchase plussss fun food popups (I want to come back for a dumpling night!). We found street parking and walked over a short half block.

~ A FANTASTIC ADDITION TO THE VENTURA WINE SCENE - THE NEXT HOT SPOT! ~ Muni is exactly what Ventura's wine scene has been missing- a place that caters to young professionals, families, and anyone looking for a more modern vibe. I've been a member at a few local wineries, but they've always seemed more suited for an older crowd (45+). So I was stoked to learn that Muni, which I've loved in Santa Barbara, was opening in Ventura. The service is always top-notch, and the vibes are consistently on point. There's a wine for everyone at Muni- whether you're a wine enthusiast or just casually sipping. Their sparkling rose, Riesling, and "Good Job" bright red are perfect for those who prefer lighter flavors, while the Grenache and "Make the Time" dark red are great options for bold wine lovers. I wasn't as into the more natural wines (sediment just isn't for me), but I know many people who appreciate that style. The Ventura location is beautiful and much larger than their SB spot, with plenty of seating and a really great atmosphere. I'd love to see more of the quirky, funky, and unique decor I loved in SB make its way to here- it's one of the things that set them apart from other tasting rooms. If you get the chance to have Dave (the owner) or Rhiannon pour your wine, consider yourself lucky- they are amazing people. Becoming a member is definitely worth it, there are some awesome perks. I'll be seeing you here every other weekend ;)

What a great addition to the neighborhood!! I like it so much I joined the club and became a member. They have a really cool laidback ambiance with snacks for purchase. Cheese and meats among other goodies. Plenty of seating and even some arcade games and a connect four. I've been here 3x and have had great service each time.

Muni on the Ave is a VIBE! Decently busy on a Saturday but not so much so that you couldn't get attention from the tasting room attendants. We got a tasting of 5 wines, all delicious! My favorite was the bright red blend but my boyfriend convinced me to get a bottle of the old vine zin instead but it did not disappoint! Easy to drink with a subtle sweetness that isn't overpowering. We also tried some of the cheese they had in the cold box - a variation of pepper jack and some crackers that paired nicely with all the wines! Will definitely be back!

Tasting: $15 (return flight $9, because sometimes one flight is not enough)…read more Wonderful wines and awesome customer service sum up what this family owned/operated winery is all about. Two sisters (Elissa & Holly) married two brothers (Matt & Mike) and started this weekend project which has turned into quite a fun weekend escape. Elissa and her father, Walt, are usually manning the tasting room and are the most gracious hosts. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Trois le Fou Winery. They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $38 - $50 range (before club member discounts). We love visiting the Lester Cellars family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are wonderful, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.

Tasting: $20 (waived with $40 wine purchase per tasting, or club membership)…read more We're wine club members, and regular visitors to the Trois le Fou tasting room in Ventura. It's owned and operated by three retired engineers, Paul, Alan, and Tim, and they make wonderful Rhone and Bordeaux style wines from Paso Robles fruit. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Lester Family Cellars. WINES: Their wines are made in a Rhone and Bordeaux style with two club releases per year (Spring and Fall) with such varietals as Grenache, Mourvédre, Syrah, Petite Sirah, GSM blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Folle Cuvée blends, Merlot, and Merlot Reserve. It's not often that we like every single wine that we try. Their wine club offers "Looney" (4/yr), "Demented" (6/yr), and "Maniac" (12/yr) level memberships, depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $48 - $60 range (before club member discounts), but the quality and care is definitely there, so I feel they're well worth it. We simply love the Trois le Fou family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are amazing, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.

I was very sure I had written a previous review for Trois Le Fou, but it appears to be gone, so…read morehere I go again. Trois Le Fou is a great little winery in Ventura. They specialize in French varietals and produce great Bordeaux and Rhone style wines in addition to their Chardonnay. I personally enjoy all of their wines, but my very favorite is their 100% Mourvèdre. I love it, but also really enjoy their GSM, Bordeaux Blend, and Chardonnay. This winery was founded by three friends, Paul, Ada, and Tim who were crazy enough to start a winery as their second career. Therefore the name Trois Le Fou or the three fools in French. I don't think it was such a crazy idea since their wines are really good. The tasting room is not too big, but they also have a very nice barrel room with additional sitting were special events are hosted. Whenever we visit the tasting room we are always greeted by friendly faces and generous pours. Service and quality are constantly stellar at Trois Le Fou. The tasting room is located in a business park, so there is plenty of parking space. Another perk is that Lester shares their barrel room space with another boutique winery, Lester Family Cellars, so you can visit two wineries without leaving the premises! If you are in Ventura and you are looking for a great wine experience, visit Trois Le Fou. You will not be disappointed.

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

Based on this, wife, dog and I made a three hour drive to the tasting room. Once there, staff stated tastings were paused due to permit issues for an indefinite time.
