Such a charming place! The wine was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it's an amazing venue for celebrating special moments. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful winery! I have been to this place for a few times, every time I had a memorable experience. The white wine is perfect for summer days, the red wine is perfect for winter time. Service is phenomenal, they keep checking on each table to make sure you have everything. The winery and tasting area is just gorgeous and relaxing!

Such a beautiful winery! The place is pretty sprawling with several seating areas to choose from. We sat overlooking the vineyards in a prime seating area, despite not having a reservation. They have a wine membership program, like so many of these places do nowadays, which made our tastings discounted from $30 to $6 a piece. None of the wine really stood out to me except for the El Camino - a red blend with syrah and grenache. The Albariño was also pretty good. They are dog friendly and offer small bites like chips and popcorn. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Normally when I go wine tasting, there's some wines that I don't like - I loved EVERYTHING on their wine flight! So good, such a nice transition to the next wine also. Smart plays. The service was quick and frequent which was appreciated. The land and sitting area - omg, BEAUTIFUL! I love how they strategically placed all the tables under shade or trees. No matter where you sat, you were comfortable. Just enough space to keep a conversation with your group and stay out the way of the others. The ONLY con - is there was no charcuterie board with how nice the establishment was I just knew there would be some good board selections. The snack boxes we ordered were good but a board would've set it over the top! Other than that - LOVED IT! **UPDATE** outside food is allowed, bring your own boards if interested as Ventura requires them to have a kitchen!

I've been to this winery a few times and it's become my favorite! It's very secluded and the area around is stunning. There is so much space and everytime I've been there it's not that crowded. They have great wine and a relaxing atmosphere. I wanted to give a special thanks to the staff (I think their names were Carl and Henry) for hosting my sister's engagement this past weekend. They went above and beyond to make sure she was surprised and made sure our group of 20+ people had everything we needed. They have great event spaces and since they don't serve food you can bring in your own meals. It was such a great day - thank you!

I feel I'm in paradise whenever we come! Nestled in the canyon among the vineyards, oaks and other trees Lots of beautiful seating areas among trees and under vines. You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. They have water stations. You can do tasting flights, glasses or bottles. You pay as you go. You can reserve online for 2-3.5hr slots for bigger groups and the others are walk ins. Service is so friendly, there is plenty of parking. It's a perfect place to come sit and relax and enjoy the weather and wine. They have goats! They don't sell food. So bring your own! Check the website for all of their options for reservations and any other questions. I personally don't think the membership is worth it unless you are planning to take bottles home. It's only 10% discount on bottles and tastings. 50% off bottles to take home. They don't offer discount on reservations or anything else. And make sure to sign up for membership before coming otherwise you cannot get discounts.

Their website recommends a reservation but outside of the warmer months I don't think it s necessary. We came on a weekend in December and it was fairly quiet, we paid for a reservation but it wasn't needed. We had a great time and ended purchasing a membership. We brought our own snacks and enjoyed the day with our wine.

This little winery was so cute! Came here at 4pm on a February Saturday & it was bumping. We didn't make a reservation since it was only an hour before they closed and we were able to get a seat right away. I would probably recommend making one, if you wanted to come during the middle of the day on the weekend and especially if you had a party larger than 4. They have waiters that come to your table to serve you. Since they were busy, it did take a little longer to get a drink since they only had 2 waiters who could take orders on the entire property. They had a food vender who was making fire stone pizzas but unfortunately they were all sold out by time we came. They didn't sell any other food on site which was a bummer. My friend got the flight of 6 wines for $30 and I got a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for $15. The flight was 2 whites and 4 reds so if you like reds then the flight is the best option to go with. The sauvignon blanc was good so I ended up getting a bottle for $35. Overall the winery was a fun and cozy vibe so definitely would come back.

We absolutely loved our experience at the winery. My only complaint is that sometimes it was hard to get an order in. My boyfriend and I split a flight so we could decide what we wanted glasses of. It took forever before we had someone take our order. But otherwise beautiful spot we would come back. It feels pretty private and you get a gorgeous view!

Food? Had wine for the appetizer, wine for the entree and for dessert, you guessed it! Wine Carl was awesome answering all of our questions and superb with the suggestions. Elegantly decorated to the season holidays and just the perfect place to spend the day. Will come back for sure. Thank you team! Bravo!

Unbelievably beautiful space. The perfect place to gather outside with a big group and enjoy some wine and views. There are many diverse and delicious wines available on the menu, and the prices are reasonable. There is plenty of outdoor seating -- mostly picnic tables and some areas with chairs. There is an area with cornhole to play and a lot of the space is grassy/shady area too. We thought we'd be very hot but were comfortable the whole time. You can bring your own food, and it seemed commonplace that folks brought picnics, which was really lovely. The staff was super welcoming from the get-go. They were friendly and checked in often to see if we needed anything. Overall highly recommend this place!

This is a beautiful and peaceful location. The trellis seating is somewhat private so you can enjoy your wine and relax, while taking in a view of the vineyard and hills. There ARE bees that fly around you constantly but as long as you ignore them they really don't do anything. If you have pizza delivered though I assume they'd be more of a bother (you can order pizza be delivered from a local restaurant). Our favorite of the 6 tastings was the Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall a great experience and would like to come back

What a lovely place!!! Did a girls trip here for the holiday weekend and it absolutely did not disappoint. Our reservation got us the cutest little cabana with a gorgeous vineyard view. Having the shade from the sun was also lovely. The service was excellent and our wine tastings were delicious. So many good photo ops here!!

The setting is beautiful in the mountains of Ojai. Recommend taking a picnic basket with food or munchies, they do not have food.

They have two great options. They have a four choice wine tasting, which allows you to choose any 4 from the current list of 8. Or, you can indulge in the full monty which is where you get tastings of all wine currently on the menu. They are both very good values when comparing wine tasting rooms. The air conditioning was on, and we were happy. The music, the wine, the vibes and there was a wonderful employee working that day (I'm sorry, it's only been 24 hours and I cannot remember his name) Anyway, the whole experience was great. Great local artwork all around the tasting room and a fun painted upright piano. Our tasting host was very friendly and provided short tid bits of information of each wine. My husband did the $19 four wine pour tasting and I did the $36 Full Monte pouring of their entire eight wine tasting. I enjoyed my first Grüner Veltliner white wine, 2024 Grunay (a hint of sweetness yet still crisp to the tongue and a light body). I also enjoyed their Tempranillo red wine, 2023 Taransay (well balanced medium body, slightly on the drier side but not too much, and had some nice tannins), this is the full glass I ordered after the tasting. I was not a fan of the 2021 Soay (Red Blend of 70% Granache, 15% Petit Verdot and 15% Petit Syrah) - I really wanted to like it as I typically like this blend, however there was a strange aftertaste that reminded me of water that was rinsed in dried rice. From 4PM - 6PM on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a local musician. Today was a singer-songwriter who played both acoustic and electric guitar and was accompanied by a lovely bass guitar player. They performed a few lighter versions of rock music and a handful of originals. Overall, great value and good music.

He's an Ojai local with a kind calming demeanor. He spun some vinyl, gave us some tips about Ojai, and poured our wine. I loved how he gave us alone time to sit with each other and really taste the wine instead of talking over every sip and trying to sell us what to think. I like white wine, but I cannot drink it because it always makes me slightly nauseous, but Josh assured me that this white wine would not do that. I could tell the minute I smelled it that I was going to be fine. Instead of that stainless steel I smell in white wines, I could smell fruits and florals. I've had organic wines in the past, but this winery goes way beyond that. The Naturalist is a pure winery, and that is quite rare in California. I had a hard time choosing my favorites, so I joined the club and I figured they could pick which four they'd like to send me every season.
