Always a fun time here when we come to see Ignition play! They're great and have quite a following! We get a kick out of the "over 70 crowd" who are faithful fans and love to dance! Four Brix offers a very large venue for this with plenty of tables and chairs *but you definitely need to make a reservation at least a week in advance when they host these popular bands. The new owners are super nice and have brought their gifts and talents from their Santa Paula winery! Thankfully they still have our favorite blackberry cider!! So good! We just happened to stop in on the weekend they were celebrating their 10th anniversary. It was a lively crowd, with live music in their barrel room. We opted to sit in the front tasting room and had a wonderful time. There were a couple of high-top bar tables up front and then a whole lotta tables in the barrel room (not sure if this is always set up this way, or just for the anniversary). SERVICE, WINES, & FOOD: Michelle poured for us and was super sweet and very efficient, especially given how busy it was. Tastings are currently $15 per flight of five wines. We tried one white/rosé and four reds. We also tried a flight of the ciders from Pier City Ciders. Not experienced with ciders, but I enjoyed these more than the wines. They sell snack items like cheese and charcuterie boards. We ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza which was okay. We thought the sauce was a little too tomatoey/acidic. TIP: $15 for two tastings with Yelp check in. Overall, a fun experience and I would probably return for the ciders. Wines are subjective to an individual's taste and these just weren't in our wheelhouse but give them a try. You may like them. read more

I found this winery on Yelp and we decided to go. Glad we did! It's a nice quint winery which offers tasting of both wine and cider. I must admit the cider was delicious. So much so that I bought some to take home. We walked in and right away we were greeted with a smile and welcome. We were seated and proceeded to taste the wine. The prices are very reasonable. They also have membership and lots of activities that go on at the winery. That night they were having a disco party with music, food and wine. Looks like a place I'd frequent regularly if I lived close by. All in all a very fun experience and I will be going back when I'm in the area. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I easily would!!!! Thank you Michelle & Four Brix Winery for a wonderful Saturday filled with great wine & amazing service! I emailed them on Friday to see if they could accommodate my group of 8 for a very last minute birthday celebration. The response was super fast & I was thrilled my group could be accommodated so last minute. On the day of, we hit some traffic & ran 30 minutes late as a result. We called the winery & again, they were more than accommodating. When we got there, they had a table & chairs set up for my group. There was WONDERFUL live music playing & a delicious pizza truck on the premises. The pizza was SO DELICIOUS. Our group got some wine flights & cider flights. All of their wines were so delicious & the ciders were amazing as well! Michelle was so wonderful - she kept checking on our group, making sure we were having a great time & enjoying our wines. Came across this winery as the top rated winery when we were in the Oxnard area. We didn't know we would get to experience a live band and it was really cool. They had wine tasting at the tables and the only problem was not having a container to dump wine or offering new glasses. I don't want to drink the remaining particles that wine leaves behind (9/10). The pizza came out really quickly and tasted good (8/10). The restrooms were really nice and clean (10/10). The staff was not wearing masks. read more

My first time visiting here happened to be my first time coming-hosting a baby shower. Our server Michelle was so incredibly helpful and friendly. Had a really nice time at Four Brix today. Tyler was a great guide as we enjoyed flights of their wines and ciders. We especially loved the 2017 Pinot Noir with grapes from Sta. Rita Hills. We also loved the 2014 Scosso with grapes from Paso Robles and a lovely blend of 64% Sangiovese, 26% Cab Sauv & 10% Merlot toast will pair nicely with a range of foods. The Viognier and ciders were all way too sweet for my taste, as I prefer a medium sweet-to-dry palate and finish, but anyone who likes sweeter wines and spirits would love them. The cider could also use more effervescence to help with the finish. They had snacks that we didn't eat and a nice selection of locally made jewelry and handicrafts. We came here for our holiday party. The service was wonderful! Michelle was slammed and managed to make us feel so welcome! All of the ladies working were so friendly and helpful. The wine had a lot of sediment but was just ok. We really loved the cider. I had the blackberry and it was really yummy. Very cozy environment if you are in the area towards the front. Great little winery tucked in the back of this industrial area and you wouldn't even know it's lurking back there. They have food to tide you over while you try their Blends that are quite interesting and intriguing. Whites emulating Portugal to taste like Sauvignon blanc and zin blends that melt my heart. If you find yourself passing through or hanging around Ventura, maybe heading to or from LA and you are looking for some good wine and an urban wine, experience, then stop in to Four Brix. First thing is the location. When I say "urban" it's not so much located on a main street with restaurants and other wineries book ending it. Instead it's in a commercial building district (one of those office parks) but don't let the surroundings fool you. The tasting room is cute with tables and lots of different items for sale. The couple that owns is are super nice. They have heavy red selection which were decent. They don't have much white and do have some interesting sparking white wine however they were not providing tastings for them. The cider was really good and I'd recommend the tasting of those if you get a chance! The owners told us that every Friday evening they host a live band in the back area which is huge. They life up the doors and a food truck appears. They also make their own cheese/meat plates along with pizzas/flatbread on site. read more

I had a great experience here over the weekend! I came here with my boyfriend and his family for all our first times. They have excellent wine, super friendly staff, and a great tasting room. We did the standard $10 tasting which gave us the chance to try all of their wines. They only had one white wine on the menu, which was surprising to us. My boyfriend's grandma only likes white most of the time but she didn't like the white so she tried the reds. She liked most of the red wines. My boyfriend and I tried all of the wines and we really liked two of the reds! We ended up buying two bottles after our tasting which included the Zeductive and Petite Sirah which were our favorites. My family and I were greeted and treated with such great service. Karen and Gary opened up the back of the brewery as staff member Michelle gave us a tour of their production area as it is harvest time. We got to taste samples of grapes right from the bins as they continue to ferment and even pound and smush the grapes. Pretty fun and interactive for my family members as they are fans of Four Brix wines. The back of the winery also serves as a beautiful event space, although not set up during the time of our visit, they were equipped with beautiful polished cherry/mahogany chairs, tables, and a stage -- a very nice setting for a wedding, company party, and so forth with the beautiful background of their branded wine barrels stacked high. The main room and tasting area invite you in with its warm ambience. They also have an area to shop decked with fine accessories and bling, knick knacks for home - candles, charcuterie and cutting boards, as well as souvenir glasses. We sampled their fine line of wines from cabs, cavs, sirahs, malbecs... you name it. Our tasting experience was broken down even more as their team gave us a bit of wine education at each sip. All very knowledgeable and passionate about their product, this visit to Four Brix made our stay delightful and tasteful!
