You wouldn't expect wine of this excellence from an industrial business park in Ventura, but you'd be wrong! The tasting room decor is inviting, the tasting room associates are knowledgeable and the wine hit every one of our taste buds. It's as if I were able to go to every one of my favorite California wine regions, picked the best grapes from each, and made the best wines possible from that fruit. The winemaker is seriously in my head, so much so that I had to join the club read more

Fermentation House - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Ventura, California

Just recently came here with a big group of us. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and wine tasting was on the itinerary. We had just finished visiting Plan B Cellars and made our way to Four Brix since it was nearby and I personally had heard good things about them. Four Brix is allocated in the business buildings in Ventura behind the Target. Kind of a strange place to have one, but not typical at all. I was a bit unsure of their tasting roomat first since it had looked small and we had a group of 9 with us. I didn't think there would be a table for us. But we were immediately seated to a table that was perfect for our party! I forgot the nice lady that helped us the whole time we were there, but she was amazing! Super enthusiastic and really helped us enjoy our first visit. We all enjoyed a flight along with some pizza and a cheese plate. Only downer I would say was, I wish the cheese plate had more options. Worth $20, I could've bought more cheese, crackers, and fruits at Whole Foods. The and staff was nice enough to bring out one of their sommeliers to explain to us the difference between Syrah And Sirah which I thought was good stuff! Always fun learning new things. We ended up buying a bottle and sharing it with everyone. And yes their wine was good! We bought the Zeductive which was delicious. It was a good time with the staff and with my friends. The lady was also very nice with us using all our Axxess cards and brought our checks individually. Can't wait to come back here again and enjoy more of their wine. read more

Really fun live bands and dancing they have some Friday nights. Wine is pretty good but DON'T get the rose (bitter and weird blech, also had funny crystal sediment at the bottom; perhaps we got the bottom of the barrel?) read more

Great place for an afternoon experience in Ventura county. Wine, food and music in a cool industrial setting what else's can u ask for!

Oh my Sangiovese.... I had the opportunity to try a sneak release of Four Brix's Sangiovese. All I can say is don't wait to get yerself some. These small family run winery make delicious small batches, usually around 100 cases. Soon to open Pier Side Ciders. A must try. Yes they are delicious also. Both white and red wines, all delicious. Friendly and fun staff. Did I mention the Pizza... yummy as well. read more

Great Vino's! Visited this winery due to their reviews and agree this is a great place to enjoy some good wine! They have a few whites but mainly reds so this was my vibe. It was really hard to decide on what to purchase because everything was so delicious! Ended up with a GSM and their Rose champagne! read more

Love this place! It was delicious! I became a member and glad I did. Very quaint and a great vibe!

Don't let the outside discourage you it's a lovely little winery with an exceptional cider list and tasting menu. I forget the name of the 2 ladies who helped us but they were welcoming, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back for the mojito cider read more

We have always had a very positive experience in all of our past visits to Four Brix. This time, unfortunately our tasting pies were no more than one single sip. We had no explanation of what we were drinking, and no one asking our opinions of what we had tried. We will be back, but based upon our past experiences and definitely not this one. read more

Friendly and knowledgable staff and a fun atmosphere. I wasn't a huge fan of most of the wines in my flight, but I did like a couple enough to consider buying a bottle. It's a great stop with out-of-town visitors, a date, or a wine lover in the mood for a fun stop in Ventura. read more

Wow! What can I say here? My girlfriend and I kind of wandered in on the recommendation of the nice folks from Cantera. We were immediately and simultaneously impressed with the decor. This is a very fun comfortable place to hang out. Lauren and Karen immediately welcomed us to the winery. I don't think I can cover everything, but the wines are very good, the cheese plate was wonderful and the folks here are tops. Four Brix is doing it right in a arena where many try and hit some high notes, but fail to bring the total package. Four Brix has delivered the total package. My girlfriend and I can be pretty particular when visiting new venues so for both of us to be so impressed is quite something. I don't want to divulge too much, but in the future... look for cider. :) I hesitate to share this review as I don't want this place to be over run, but it would be unfair to keep this to myself. read more

Love this place, came from Downtown LA to Ventura to check this place out. Live music love it. Staff is awesome!!!

Friends of ours got (re)married on Friday night, so a fair-sized group of us descended upon Four Brix for multiple bottles of wine, laughs, and custom pizzas provided by a food vendor located outside. I thought the whites, reds, and bubbly were all very drinkable and fairly priced and I appreciated that the server/owner charged us member prices since we were sharing the bottles with members. It can be very loud, though, so sit close to those you want to have a conversation with or, if you're like me, talk to whomever happens to be closest. =) read more

Four is for the four couples that came together for their love of wine. Brix is a unit of measure in the wine making process, making Four Brix Winery an accurate description of the endeavor in this nondescript commercial part of Ventura a real find. Treasured by locals and a fierce fan base, Four Brix offers a strong selection of finely grown wines from grapes sourced in areas of California in the finest tradition of the European regions that inspired them. I prefer the Scosso, inspired by the riderless horse in the Siena horse races. read more

Loved my experience here! The owner was so kind and OMG the DOG :) Shirah is the sweetest little Australian Shepherd who will give you nonstop hugs. Gary gave us all the details on the wine and I really liked that these were all blends (something that I haven't had much exposure to). If i was ever visiting oxnard again, I would definitely come back! I used a yelp deal and then bought a bottle of riesling that we later had at the house which was delicious and not too sweet. the Zeductive was AMAZING. Im not a huge red wine fan, but this changed my mine.. My boyfriend really enjoyed The Temptress. Such a lovely place. THey also have boardgames.. and water available for drinking. There is a private room in the back that you can rent out as wel, I think. They are very knowledgable about the blending process and asked us at the end if we wanted to retaste one in particular! read more

If you want to relax with your friends with some great wines go to Four Brix. The price is reasonable for five pours; my favorite was Zeduction. We loved the ambience, the wine tasting and the flatbreads. The space is large but not so much to lose that comfy feeling. Owners are the sweetest couple who made our birthday celebration special. Now that we found out about Friday music nights, 6-8 pm, we will be back. read more

Just a warning if you enjoy a wine tasting experience and we do! We understand restrictions during this time, and Probably my fault for being anxious that a winery in Ventura was open for tasting, but teeny tiny (very!) pours made for a disappointing experience. If we had a total of 2ozs total for five tastes-I would be surprised-barely enough for a qualified "taste". Wish I had seen someone post like this, so putting it out there for those who are escaping while we can-there are much better choices in the area. read more

Literally the best place ever. They have events. They have wine tastings. And great membership deals. Robin and Kay are the coolest. I learned a lot about wine and had an amazing time drinking awesome wine for my partner and I's 2 year anniversary. HIGH recommend. It's worth every penny. read more

Great gray band and venue. Dancing was great although a little warm inside. Was hoping for some beer.

So many positives about this winery. First and foremost the wines are delicious. Some of my favorite wines are from Four Brix. I became a member on my first visit and still pick up a few bottles in-between. I'm partial to red, but I even like their Smitten (gotta come in to find out). Second, it's local. We love the fact that we can visit often (and we do). We bring friends and family and they, too, love the wine. Third, the people are warm and friendly. Always fun to visit. Very genuine. When you do come visit, it may not be what you expect from a winery or a tasting room, as it's in an industrial center; however, I think they've done a great job with the tasting room and once you step inside, you don't even think about it. read more

Lovely customer service and she even gave us recommendations of places to go around town! Great experience, just wish I could join for when they have live music! The wines are awesome as well so we definitely will be coming back! read more

One is generous ! Customer service is lacking. I travel to ventura county for work. I love to try wineries, found Plan B and it was great and then Stray what a delight these were. Customer service was Excellent and we heard about this winery. The band was ok but the middle aged lady Michelle was rude and inattentive. Stood there listening to her talk to others about her life and supposedly her husband in the band. She acted like a jealous woman claiming her "husband " stood there for 9 minutes while she chatted to everyone else. Finally we ordered a glass of wine and she said I suppose you also want a new glass!! Upon ordering our 3 glass she ignored us again this time for 4 minutes. As she ran around and was just ignoring people. I suggest you teach her customer service because she needs to learn it!!!! She is not good for business even though she thinks she is! read more

A little disappointed in the older"ish" woman who is dating/married to someone in the band! Extremely RUDE and disrespectful to other women coming to listen to band! We had a company get together at the winery and we will never be back! Not pouring even an ounce and hateful! If we wanted a musician instead of the men we are married to it certainly would not be a weekend band. Pick your employees better and the bands. read more
