Just when I think the experience can't get any better, they find a way to raise the bar again. Scott has created something truly special with Sustainable Wine Tours. He has curated a one-of-a-kind experience that goes far beyond a typical wine tour. From intimate boutique wineries you would never find on your own to opportunities to meet the winemakers themselves, every stop feels authentic, personal, and thoughtfully chosen. Over the years, I've gained an incredible appreciation for wine because of these tours. The level of wine education, along with the knowledge shared about the Santa Ynez Valley, has been extraordinary. Every tour leaves me with a deeper understanding of the region, the vineyards, and the people behind each bottle. This time, Karina was our host, and she was fantastic. When she realized one of our scheduled wineries was one we had already visited, she immediately worked with Scott to arrange a different boutique winery. We would have been perfectly happy revisiting the original stop, but the fact that they made every effort to create a new experience speaks volumes about their commitment to their guests. The service is unmatched, the hospitality is genuine, and every detail is intentional. Sustainable Wine Tours has created some of our favorite travel memories, and after five tours, I can honestly say this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that somehow gets even better every time. We can't wait for number six.

Cool winery to check out…read more The staff are older, friendly enough. The red wines are really tasty. I love the private-ish tables. I mean you're close enough to hear your neighbors, but still have a sense of privacy with a nice view of the vineyard. Even though it was hot outside, underneath the canopy it was nice.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

Great educational experience on how important it is to keep our oceans clean and learn more about the local islands creatures and climate. Lots of parking but never enough parking spots during great weather. However the parking is free. You can find by driving all the way to the dead end and it's on the right hand side. There is a store to buy souvenirs. Lots of picture ops. Great views to have a picknick and sightseeing. Most importantly this is a great spot to educate our children the importance on a eco friendly environment for our sea creatures and the local islands. There's a auditorium and a short clip constantly running, That's also free. There's a great sight seeing tower that you can walk up and get your stair climb on. There's also an elevator to get to the top as well.

Boat has a snack bar, and restrooms. The trip over depends, of course, on the weather. The channel can get rough, so I recommend you go during the morning when you have the chance for less bumps. We did have some whitecaps, and the ride was very bumpy at times. Be sure to take your seasick medicine, if you are prone, as this can be one ride with lots of motion. The boat worked, got us there, and came back to pick us up. What more could you ask for?
