The food was delicious and was filling, none of wanted or needed to get more after the tour was over. The amount of walking and sitting time is well balanced, it was probably like walk for 15 and sit for 20. Our guide was a long lime local, very knowledgeable and had answers to just about every question asked. What we really liked is that the tour was small only 6 people, and by the end of the last stop we were sipping wine with our new tour friends and the whole tour enhanced our visit to SB.

This year we took a friend with us who hadn't experienced this event before. She was amazed at how well we knew our way around the various neighborhoods where five gardens were featured. One reason for that is having been on the tour so many times. Even with that said, there were several homes in areas that were a fresh surprise to us. Camarillo not only has an amazing climate, but also areas where lots were sold initially with plenty of elbow room. We toured several gardens this year sitting on an acre or more of land. The homeowners have done a beautiful job of filling those spaces with many landscaping delights. There was one more modestly sized yard at one location. That was absolutely charming in how they used the space, including a waterfall cascading into their swimming pool and a wonderful seating area to one side that captured a relaxing tropical vibe. We sat there for a time listening to the rushing water, and also to the musician who was providing entertainment for the that home. Delightful! Another home on large lot had extensive food plantings - veggies and fruit trees. They were arrayed in such a way that it was practical, but also visually beautiful. Several large artichoke plants were especially striking. Their outdoor table was set with decorations crafted from the vegetable garden. So clever. All in all, it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon to be inspired by homeowners with not only green thumbs, but a sense of joy in embracing their precious garden spaces. The usage of succulents and other waterwise plantings is encouraged, and there are great examples of that style of gardening to embrace.

It's a school bus that has been redone on the inside to provide you ample with space and room to hang out and relax during your trip. Also the seats have been moved to face inward so that you can hangout and talk to people with ease. Second the owners. The owners are simply amazing. They were so nice. They made you feel welcomed the minute you board that bus. And what can I say about meatball. That bulldog is hands down the best bulldog ever. On our trip we went to 4 breweries. They all we really nice and they provide you with more than enough beer to satisfy your cravings. We started off at Ventura then went to Carpinteria and finally ended at Santa Barbara. I will definitely be back. This was a fun experience. I can't wait til I board again

I didn't really know what to expect going on this beer tour but what ended up happening was such a…read moregood time. My boyfriend and I (he was the one that convinced me to go!) met at the start location to get a ride from Santa Clarita to Ventura.( They said they have tours that start in Ventura as well.) We drive up and see this amazing modified school bus. This bus stands out in the best of ways. We saw one of the owners standing outside the bus, she greeted us and then we went on inside this beast of a bus. The inside is even cooler! I swear, I have no other way of explaining other than it's like a limo. The seats are facing each other so it's easier to have conversations. The lighting is so chill, I was already excited. As we walked in, the other owner welcomed us aboard the awesome brew bus and we took the last seats next to each other. When we sat down we met their most wonderful mascot the english bulldog, Meatball. He was so nice and well-behaved. ( I figured mascot as they have meatballs face on their awesomely designed bus) The ride up wasn't long and they played nice music so it went by even faster. Once we arrived, we found ourselves at the Anacapa Brewing Company where we officially met everyone on the tour. We were given a flight of tasters. It was perfect because I love trying all kinds of beers, but not a whole pint each. Once everyone got the flights on the table, everyone started talking to each other. So any sense of awkwardness i had, disappeared at that moment. Were then boarded the bus and all headed Surf Brewery, which was another great place. Different tasting beers than the first place and another great atmosphere. We were given a piece of paper with 4 beers to choose from for your flight. We chatted it up with other people that were on the bus and we were just saying how much fun this was. The third place we went to was in Carpinteria called Island Brewing Company. When we walked up to this place, you can see the train tracks and a beautiful view of the sky slowly setting. We got to have a tour of how the beer is made there and loved being able to go behind the scenes. After we were given our flights of beer, we went outside were we could put our beer down and watch the sunset. As the sun was almost down, we went onto the bus for one last place. Pure Order Brewing Company in Santa Barbara which was not far at all from where we were. We hopped off the bus to find we were in a pimped out garage with such a cool backyard with games to just chill and hang out. We were given our last flight of beer. They were good too. What I realized was whether you go with someone or just by yourself, you will have a good time. For a day, you get to hang out with a group of people that just want to have fun and enjoy all kinds of different beer. The owners are amazing and you can tell how much they want us to have fun and stress free. I will definitely be going on this again. They told us that they have other breweries on their tour as well, which I thought was super cool. Consider me a fan guys, I've officially warmed up to beer thanks to Brew Bus 101.

The staff at the wineries were friendly, welcoming, and - most importantly - poured great wines. We got to try everything on the tasting menu, and sometimes a bonus. Paul was a great driver. He brought a great lunch for us, and completely matched our energy and mood for the day. We would highly recommend this tour. Great educational experience on how important it is to keep our oceans clean and learn more about the local islands creatures and climate. Lots of parking but never enough parking spots during great weather. However the parking is free. You can find by driving all the way to the dead end and it's on the right hand side. There is a store to buy souvenirs. Lots of picture ops. Great views to have a picknick and sightseeing. Most importantly this is a great spot to educate our children the importance on a eco friendly environment for our sea creatures and the local islands. There's a auditorium and a short clip constantly running, That's also free. There's a great sight seeing tower that you can walk up and get your stair climb on. There's also an elevator to get to the top as well.

These are 60 foot boats. They have benches all around for sitting along the way over to the…read moreChannel Islands. There are some protected seats on the inside. Boat has a snack bar, and restrooms. The trip over depends, of course, on the weather. The channel can get rough, so I recommend you go during the morning when you have the chance for less bumps. We did have some whitecaps, and the ride was very bumpy at times. Be sure to take your seasick medicine, if you are prone, as this can be one ride with lots of motion. The boat worked, got us there, and came back to pick us up. What more could you ask for?
