Tasting Flight: $20/person for 5 pours (fee waived with two bottle purchase). Comfortable, dog friendly winery located in a business center. Good sized tasting room and very large barrel room, which is used for live music and other events. WINES: Strey Cellars produces sparkling, white, rosè, red, and dessert wines. Natalie poured for us, and allowed us to customize our tasting flight, based on our likes. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and paid just the right amount of attention, so we were able to chat with other customers in the tasting room without disruptions. We tasted a few more than five, and in the end, most of the white and red wines we tried were a little too crisp and/or lite bodied for our palates, however we always recommend you try for yourselves, as they may be exactly what you prefer. We did find a couple we liked and purchased a bottle of the Triple Z (Zinfandel) and a '20 Ruby Petite Syrah (Port style) to take home. Overall, a nice little winery to check out and enjoy an afternoon of tasting and meeting new wine friends.

Put this winery on your must-do list when visiting Ventura. I highly recommend visiting during their Saturday night live music and food events. I had spoken with owner Katie 2 weeks prior to our visit and she was kind enough to give me her number to text if I needed to change the reservation or had questions. The night before, I was able to text her and change our afternoon wine tasting appointment to the Saturday night reservation for the live music and pizza event. It was soooo much fun! The place was lively, the crowd was fun and engaging! The music was a great cover band called Ignition that played a lot of 70's rock. We were sat at our reserved table with a group of 3 other ladies that were friendly and fun too. The dance area was filled at all times. And the food! Pizza Dough Bois were amazing! Wood fired pizza that was sooo good! I got the chorizo cilantro pizza and it was fire!! During the live music events, you can't do wine tasting unless you are in the tasting room. But they did give us a small taste before our glass purchases to see if we liked them. I had the Grenache Rose which was pretty good but then I got the Barbera Rose that was really delicious. The Barbera was a bit sweeter which I tend to enjoy more. Katie and Scott are wonderful hosts. Most fun I have had in a long time!

Came here for a book club meeting. This was my first time ever visiting Strey Cellars. Their back area where the events/book club are held is so cute! They have patio lights making it such a cute environment. There is even a private tasting room. The restrooms are nice and clean. Staff is super awesome! I really enjoy my time here. They offer a variety of different wine options. I went with the Pinot grigio and it was very tasty. They have ample parking and it's a cute spot for some wine or a book club meeting.

Never knew this gem existed. I went here for the first time to attend a wedding. It is amazing for a small venue. Wine was delicious, the atmosphere, the staff! It was a wonderful experience!! If you're thinking of having your wedding here, do it! Everyone will have a good time! Not to mention how beautiful your photos will turn out. If you're not having a wedding, go here! Taste wine and enjoy the atmosphere!

Great place , service, atmosphere and amazing band last night for Strey Cellars Halloween party. The wine is delicious as always. Can't wait to return for another amazing experience.

That was not what I was expecting... at all. This was first wine tasting and Strey set the bar high. I thought wine tasting is standing at a bar sniffing and swishing wine while only speaking with adjectives. Instead, we were escorted past the bar into a sparkling room of music and lights. Live music with Ignition had everyone up out of their seats dancing and signing! Mind blowing margherita pizza by Cali Boiz (?). Katie and Mary were super stars keeping everyone happy and things moving swimmingly. Strey's was wonderfully accommodating with seating and helpful tips. The whole evening felt like a family event rather than random strangers at a wine bar. I tip my hat to the Strey fans who let their hair down abed kicked up their heels. This was the memorable evening out, esp for my first time to the area. Highly recommended!!

This was an unexpected place to have a nice afternoon with a friend to enjoy a nice sampling of wines and live music. The staff was super friendly. I plan to go again.

This is my second time here and both have been for the Disney Princess meet and greet activities on Sundays. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. The wine selection is large and served at good temperatures. The venue is easy to find and clean, music in the background. I think they should have some snacks available and we can really spend more time here.

The wines keep getting better and Natalie has joined the family. It's still our favorite place to while away a Sunday afternoon. We do miss Tawny who stays home usually.

Oh my goodness, this is a really long overdue review. My husband I attended a wedding/reception here. The idea of it being hosted here was pretty hip in my opinion. The placed was elegantly decorated and the service provided by the staff was fantastic. The bride and room placed a caricature artist on the wall facing the bar. The service at the bar was always prompt and all staff members worked with a smile and friendly presence. The bride and groom had the appetizers catered and placed in the room before the wine barrel warehouse area and it was nicely set up. The wine barrel room was beautifully decorated with lights. It gave an outdoor wedding feel but the comfort of being indoors. Dinner was provided by an In N out truck which was also very cool and modern. They opened the delivery entrance area and guests were able to walk out in front to get drinks and burgers. Staff members were prompt at clearing any wine glasses, trash and leftover food from the tables. We really enjoyed this experience and would recommend to host any event here. They were awesome! *please check with them for pricing since all the info I wrote about was from a Guest POV!

Wine tastes are subjective, but for our palates the wines here were SO off/weird that they bordered on defective. We've had many red wines that have had "notes of tobacco". These wines tasted like they had a tablespoon of liquid smoke added to them. We couldn't get that taste out of our mouths until we had some more wine elsewhere. The only explanation for the off flavor we could think of was that the vineyard experienced a fire or perhaps the grapes were burned at the vineyard. Whatever it is, it just isn't right. If you just turned 21 and haven't had any other wine you might like their wines, but if you're a thoughtful, experienced wine drinker you might want to go elsewhere. The tasting room lady was a delight and the facility is quite nice. I hope their future vintages turn out better.

Beautiful Venue!

Love Herzog. Haven't…read morebeen here in so long, but returned recently for a day of wine and eats for a vendor presentation. Herzog provided everything we needed including breakfast, glassware and amazing lunch options. Not to mention adjustments when the weather shifted. A great layout. Best restroom facilities and information about their amazing winery and its history. I've been part of the Wine & Spirits industry since 2012 on an off and more recently back on + Herzog is one of the best and oldest kosher wineries in the world. Joseph Herzog is an amazing man and the VP of HWC, I met him a few times in the past but it's been YEARS. I didn't get a chance to speak with him directly, but he thanked us for coming out and along with the rest of the Herzon team/family was nothing but welcoming and thoughtful. One of my favorite draws about Herzog overall is that's is 100% vegan friendly as well as kosher, making it suitable for so many people. And Tierra Sur is very vegan friendly - some dishes are vegetarian. Do let they know about allergies and restrictions and they'll do their absolute best to accommodate. Their Alexander Valley wines are some of my favorites for sure.

Parking was plentiful and spacious, the weather was lovely (not raining), and the space is beautiful! Upon entering everyone is very friendly and I was able to find the table easily. Both Alvin and EJ were very attentive to our table, always smiling bright and happy to see us, assuring that we had everything we needed, and made sure our taste testing went smoothly. We were given a wine list and we were able to choose six wines to wine taste from the list. My absolute favorite wines were between the Special Reserve Merlot 2023 Alexander Valley and the Sonoma Loeb Dignitary Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma. These were both excellent and smooth, however, ALL the wines that I taste tested were phenomenal. We also ordered the garlic fries, the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the Mushroom Arancini. I personally loved the Mushroom Arancini the most, very flavorful and perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken sandwich was a good portion and easy to share. The garlic fries did not taste very garlicy to me, the creamy sauce on top I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be garlic, but I probably would just get the regular fries next time. Don't forget to take your photo next to the Herzog wine barrels before you leave!

They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. It's located in a business park where they have what seems like a traditional tasting room with a few tables, a "living room" with comfortable seats and a couch surrounded by their barrels, and a "patio" outside with covered seating. We opted for a cider tasting, and as someone who was a little wary, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was so excited to hear that their style is on the drier side. These hard ciders are dangerously good... refreshing, delicately flavored, and you wouldn't even know that they're packed with a high ABV. We tried the Apple, Black Berry Pie, Golden Kiwi, Guava, Blood Orange, and Key Lime. My favorite was the guava and my SO's was the Black Berry Pie. These are perfect for warm weather, and you can even take cans or growlers to go! As for food, there are some snacks available for purchase, and folks are welcome to bring their own snacks (uh, charcuterie plate, anyone?) except when there's a food truck. They specialize in French varietals and produce great Bordeaux and Rhone style wines in addition to their Chardonnay. I personally enjoy all of their wines, but my very favorite is their 100% Mourvèdre. I love it, but also really enjoy their GSM, Bordeaux Blend, and Chardonnay. This winery was founded by three friends, Paul, Ada, and Tim who were crazy enough to start a winery as their second career. Therefore the name Trois Le Fou or the three fools in French. I don't think it was such a crazy idea since their wines are really good. The tasting room is not too big, but they also have a very nice barrel room with additional sitting were special events are hosted. Whenever we visit the tasting room we are always greeted by friendly faces and generous pours. Service and quality are constantly stellar at Trois Le Fou. The tasting room is located in a business park, so there is plenty of parking space. Another perk is that Lester shares their barrel room space with another boutique winery, Lester Family Cellars, so you can visit two wineries without leaving the premises! If you are in Ventura and you are looking for a great wine experience, visit Trois Le Fou. You will not be disappointed.
