We went for the meet a princess event and I was super impressed. Very cute place and event for the kids. I've been wanting to go back for all the cool events they had coming up. Such a fun memory for my 4 year old twins.

Mary went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! She's wonderful. Where have I been ??? I'm an Oxnard local and had never visited. Here with my friend, Jess! We loved the service and the wines!!! Mary described each wine we tried to perfection! She genuinely enjoys her job and I loved her attention to detail! I have been to a couple of cellars where I haven't been treated the best and Mary is truly a breath of fresh air! Chill spot. Plenty of natural light. Cool seating options. Oh and I got to use my twism discount! Awesome! We can't wait to attend some classes and visit when they have live music! I just had a great time with my friend, Mary never left us unattended and I'm happy to support this place again! I left feeling happy! Mary is the best manager. She took the time to give us a tour of the entire cellar!!! She explained the different events they host and the ability to rent the space for private parties! This place is a 10/10

Strey has been open approximately for 10 years. My husband and I ended up coming here for a wine tasting practically when they first opened. Katie, one of the owners had helped us with our tasting and was always so nice, professional, and made great tasting wines. We hadn't been back for over 5 years due to the pandemic and simply being into wine, not being into wine, and now back again. Recently, we ended up coming by Strey for a tasting. We met Scott, the other owner and Katie's husband, who greeted us and gave us a tasting of 5 excellent wines. Plus their wine tasting menu has expanded to include sparking wine (it's only called "champagne" if made in a region of Champagne, France), white and red wines as well as dessert wines. There are also several wines to look forward to come back for a tasting for, try a glass of, or buy a bottle of. My husband and I shared a tasting, and agreed that all the tastings were delicious, although I personally favored the red wines on the tasting list (the Pinot Noir and Petite Syrah blend). In general, I tend to prefer red wines, but the white wine were also delicious! Plus, the winery has several events like an ugly Christmas party, bands that come in throughout the month, glass painting, and several other events! Also, Scott let us try a teeny bit of their dessert wines - and we found ourselves having to buy a bottle of our favorite! Strey is an excellent place to try out different wines, converse, and relax. Thank you to the owners of Strey for making this a comfortable, pleasant, and delicious experience for me 10 years ago - and even now!

Tasting Flight: $20/person for 5 pours (fee waived with two bottle purchase). Comfortable, dog friendly winery located in a business center. Good sized tasting room and very large barrel room, which is used for live music and other events. WINES: Strey Cellars produces sparkling, white, rosè, red, and dessert wines. Natalie poured for us, and allowed us to customize our tasting flight, based on our likes. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and paid just the right amount of attention, so we were able to chat with other customers in the tasting room without disruptions. We tasted a few more than five, and in the end, most of the white and red wines we tried were a little too crisp and/or lite bodied for our palates, however we always recommend you try for yourselves, as they may be exactly what you prefer. We did find a couple we liked and purchased a bottle of the Triple Z (Zinfandel) and a '20 Ruby Petite Syrah (Port style) to take home. Overall, a nice little winery to check out and enjoy an afternoon of tasting and meeting new wine friends.

Put this winery on your must-do list when visiting Ventura. I highly recommend visiting during their Saturday night live music and food events. I had spoken with owner Katie 2 weeks prior to our visit and she was kind enough to give me her number to text if I needed to change the reservation or had questions. The night before, I was able to text her and change our afternoon wine tasting appointment to the Saturday night reservation for the live music and pizza event. It was soooo much fun! The place was lively, the crowd was fun and engaging! The music was a great cover band called Ignition that played a lot of 70's rock. We were sat at our reserved table with a group of 3 other ladies that were friendly and fun too. The dance area was filled at all times. And the food! Pizza Dough Bois were amazing! Wood fired pizza that was sooo good! I got the chorizo cilantro pizza and it was fire!! During the live music events, you can't do wine tasting unless you are in the tasting room. But they did give us a small taste before our glass purchases to see if we liked them. I had the Grenache Rose which was pretty good but then I got the Barbera Rose that was really delicious. The Barbera was a bit sweeter which I tend to enjoy more. Katie and Scott are wonderful hosts. Most fun I have had in a long time!

Came here for a book club meeting. This was my first time ever visiting Strey Cellars. Their back area where the events/book club are held is so cute! They have patio lights making it such a cute environment. There is even a private tasting room. The restrooms are nice and clean. Staff is super awesome! I really enjoy my time here. They offer a variety of different wine options. I went with the Pinot grigio and it was very tasty. They have ample parking and it's a cute spot for some wine or a book club meeting.

Never knew this gem existed. I went here for the first time to attend a wedding. It is amazing for a small venue. Wine was delicious, the atmosphere, the staff! It was a wonderful experience!! If you're thinking of having your wedding here, do it! Everyone will have a good time! Not to mention how beautiful your photos will turn out. If you're not having a wedding, go here! Taste wine and enjoy the atmosphere!

Great place , service, atmosphere and amazing band last night for Strey Cellars Halloween party. The wine is delicious as always. Can't wait to return for another amazing experience.

That was not what I was expecting... at all. This was first wine tasting and Strey set the bar high. I thought wine tasting is standing at a bar sniffing and swishing wine while only speaking with adjectives. Instead, we were escorted past the bar into a sparkling room of music and lights. Live music with Ignition had everyone up out of their seats dancing and signing! Mind blowing margherita pizza by Cali Boiz (?). Katie and Mary were super stars keeping everyone happy and things moving swimmingly. Strey's was wonderfully accommodating with seating and helpful tips. The whole evening felt like a family event rather than random strangers at a wine bar. I tip my hat to the Strey fans who let their hair down abed kicked up their heels. This was the memorable evening out, esp for my first time to the area. Highly recommended!!

This was an unexpected place to have a nice afternoon with a friend to enjoy a nice sampling of wines and live music. The staff was super friendly. I plan to go again.

Leisure Village Wine Club tasting and enjoying music of 805 Social Club.

This is my second time here and both have been for the Disney Princess meet and greet activities on Sundays. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. The wine selection is large and served at good temperatures. The venue is easy to find and clean, music in the background. I think they should have some snacks available and we can really spend more time here.

The wines keep getting better and Natalie has joined the family. It's still our favorite place to while away a Sunday afternoon. We do miss Tawny who stays home usually.

I've been part of the Wine & Spirits industry since 2012 on an off and more recently back on + Herzog is one of the best and oldest kosher wineries in the world. Joseph Herzog is an amazing man and the VP of HWC, I met him a few times in the past but it's been YEARS. I didn't get a chance to speak with him directly, but he thanked us for coming out and along with the rest of the Herzon team/family was nothing but welcoming and thoughtful. One of my favorite draws about Herzog overall is that's is 100% vegan friendly as well as kosher, making it suitable for so many people. And Tierra Sur is very vegan friendly - some dishes are vegetarian. Do let they know about allergies and restrictions and they'll do their absolute best to accommodate. Their Alexander Valley wines are some of my favorites for sure.

Two sisters (Elissa & Holly) married two brothers (Matt & Mike) and started this weekend project which has turned into quite a fun weekend escape. Elissa and her father, Walt, are usually manning the tasting room and are the most gracious hosts. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Trois le Fou Winery. They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $38 - $50 range (before club member discounts). We love visiting the Lester Cellars family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are wonderful, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.

Back Patio Cellars feels like you've just meandered into Frank & Jen's backyard, and they invite you to stay awhile to try some cider/wine. This is definitely their passion project, and it shows in how they talk about their ciders/wine and enjoy sharing with people. It's located in a business park where they have what seems like a traditional tasting room with a few tables, a "living room" with comfortable seats and a couch surrounded by their barrels, and a "patio" outside with covered seating. We opted for a cider tasting, and as someone who was a little wary, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was so excited to hear that their style is on the drier side. These hard ciders are dangerously good... refreshing, delicately flavored, and you wouldn't even know that they're packed with a high ABV. We tried the Apple, Black Berry Pie, Golden Kiwi, Guava, Blood Orange, and Key Lime. My favorite was the guava and my SO's was the Black Berry Pie. These are perfect for warm weather, and you can even take cans or growlers to go! As for food, there are some snacks available for purchase, and folks are welcome to bring their own snacks (uh, charcuterie plate, anyone?) except when there's a food truck. Jen mentioned that they don't have a cider club just yet, but they do have a wine club. We're definitely planning on coming back for a wine tasting very soon, see ya there!
