We were feeling up for some wine tasting on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we found ourselves at Cavaletti's. Our tasting experience was perfect and the tasting room was a perfectly brisk on a hot summer day. The owner and other patrons were incredibly friendly. The wine is amazing and Patrick's knowledge of wines is scrumptious and fun. We had a truly delightful time and are looking forward to going back! Parking here is easy. I also love that this are of Moorpark is very different from the other areas I'm more familiar with. There's a real small town vibe with easily walkable streets and small town size blocks. We were in the area after having lunch and was looking into a place close by that offered wine tasting, found Cavaletti Vineyards on yelp. We did get lost as the map took us to a empty parking lot(so we thought) drove to the front of the building and they had a sign that said Cavaletti Vineyard and parked in the front and as we entered we see the barrels of wine and were greeted. We asked if they offered wine tastings and the answer was yes. Our tasting was great. Loved this place and would come back if In the area. It's not a grapes vineyard it is a small warehouse looking place with the barrels but that didn't matter to us we were able to enjoy and relax while sipping on the wine. read more

Everyone else there was extremely friendly as well, this place attracts a nice, laid-back crowd. Very dog-friendly as well! Also giving them bonus points for having a website that provided everything we would want to know before visiting a tasting room: Dog friendly? Check. Can bring your own food? Check. Appointment encouraged? Check. They even let you know that they tasting room is kept cool at 65 degrees so you can come prepared. The Cavaletti Vineyards tasting room is a hidden gem! Come for the incredible wines and stay for the company! The winemaker Patrick's expertise, charisma, and enthusiasm is worth the visit alone. We love that the grapes are all locally sourced and there is such a great variety including Rose, Zin, Grenache, and Syrah. The Syrah we tried (Arianna Syrah) was absolutely superb. Love this emerging Los Angeles-area winery. If you are looking for something fun to do during these COVID times, I highly recommend scheduling a private wine tasting. The owner Patrick is charming, and super knowledgeable. He sets up the wine tasting in a quaint outdoor setting perfect to enjoy Cavaletti's wine and makes it a fun, interactive experience. Cavaletti's Rose is my favorite, but that's just me. All of its wines are wonderful.
